Avoid Paystack if you're a small business

Before I signed up for Paystack to receive payment, I actually checked here on trust pilot to have an idea of their reputation.

Unfortunately, I was foolish enough to ignore all the bad experiences here. I ignored the red flags!!

Now, I am here to complain too.

Paystack (without warning) removed the option for my business to receive international payments, whereas my business serves the international community.

I got to realize that when I saw failed payment attempts that says "this merchant is not allowed to receive international payment".

I thought it was a joke!

What did I do?

They said I offer virtual card sales and that I've had many failed order attempts.

1. There's no place in their terms and conditions that forbid anyone from offering virtual card.

2. I am not responsible for failed order attempts, in fact, the company is mostly responsible for that because I have had many customers alternatively pay me by Western Union or MoneyGram after failed orders.

Think about that. The Paystack gateway is so poor that 90% of legitimate payments gets rejected.

My only regret is that I really had a high hope in the company and have spent about $9,800 on advertisment, and just as everything is about to come to fruition, they turned off my ability to receive international payment.

Avoid Paystack company if you're not an established brand because if you do, you'll have a sad story to share sooner or later.

Note: I have an outstanding earning that has not been paid. The product was sold since 30th of May, 2023. They've refused to release my payment, despite that it's a download product that has long been delivered to the customer. So, be warned, this company can ruin your business even if you're 100% legitimate

My advice is don’t ever use pay stack. They will block your account and claim they have refunded your customers. They are scammers, they will onboard you quickly once payment start coming in they will place your account on hold then ask you to provide proof they will review that proof for days then will come up with stories saying they are not convince with the proof. They go as far as hiring people to give them good reviews anyone can signup here and write something good about them but trust me these guys are heartless. They don’t care if you run into losses, I would have shared a detail info here with proofs to back what am saying but trustpilot might not allow it. Please stay away from paystack it will end up in tears for you don’t fall for the paid review. They know small businesses can’t do nothing to them so they tend to ripp you off. The annoying part is they have two tricks in defrauding their customers 1. They claim they refund your customers and then charge your customers for instance if your customers paid $100 they will refund less 2. They purposely hold your funds for weeks and later come up with excuse saying they are investigating. Dear paystack nothing last forever am sure you will be brought to book soon and you will loose your license soon, a great competitor will arise and knock you off.This is why international investors and buyers avoid Nigerian businesses, how can you defraud your customers ? Is that not pure wickedness. I will leave with this” If you know you run a legit business and you have invested so much on your business please don’t use paystack they will mess you up they are scammers

Great experience

Most of the vendors I get stuff from, use Paystack as their payment gateway and I must say that I haven't experience any issue so far. It is usually swift and direct. I like the fact that a payment receipt is usually sent to my email immediately after every payment. I haven't had the need to disagree with any vendors because of payment confirmation and that's a relief.

Paystack refuse to pay me after…

Paystack refuse to pay me after recieving payment. They insisted that I supply them with proof of my suppliers of stock on company letter heads. This is ridiculous. They don't even state that on their website. Please be aware. Rather use a safer more reliable payment gate.

Faulty coding unreliable support

Now that we have integrated this in the website it's broken and support never follows through. Please choose a reputable payment processor, otherwise you'll be losing customers and ruining your reputation.
They messaged here that they would email me but I am still waiting for an email follow up.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!

Please do not trust this company in the slightest! A customer processed a transaction on my estore through Paystack and I just cannot get my payout from them as there is continuously some kind of condition or question I need to answer. I have subsequently removed them as a payment option on my website and thank goodness that was the first and last transaction with them.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

So, this is the second negative review that I am giving Paystack as they have still not resolved the issue that I have been experiencing since September 2022. I have been waiting for my refund since September and they keep on giving me assurances that they are dealing with it but I still have not received my money. They were supposed to take a maximum of 12 working days to process the refund but, it's now nearly 3b months on and still nothing. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM AS THEY ARE DISHONEST AND MAKE PROMISES THEY CAN'T KEEP. Totally useless and the still the worst experience I have ever had.
