Gina at the Yorkdale location has exemplified the essence of customer service she gracefully assisted in removing links from my mums watch thank you Octavius and Gina.

Maryam was very helpful and a sweet lady! I had a great experience in this store and found what I was looking for right away with her help!

I bought a ring and got the delivery date. Peoples let the transaction on my credit card expire and then never sent the ring let alone meet the delivery date, which was 3 weeks after the order.

After the delivery date came and went; they refused to cancel it, or escalate it to a supervisor, or give me any satisfactory customer service, I had to have their authorization stopped through my credit card.

I asked them on three separate occasions to help me with my order and they never followed through with getting me in touch with a supervisor or provide answers to any of my questions...such as how does your company do business this way? The fake positivity that their help desk agents displayed did not help at all.

TLDR; Peoples couldn't fulfill order on time, or tell me when it would arrive, or cancel my order, or provide any answers or any accountability, so I cancelled the order on my end rather then give them carte blanche to re-charge my card whenever they felt like shipping the item.

My partner bought me a ring for Christmas from this company. I wore it for just 1 month before the entire gem and prongs fell off. This should not have happened and as a “quality” ring, it shouldn't just break like it had.
He purchased the lifetime protection plan that states either fixed repair or total replacement. We first brought it into the brockville location and were told by an employee that the ring would be sent to be repaired and they’d call us when it was ready. After a little over a month we were called saying it was ready for pickup. I went in without my partner to pick it up and when I arrived after driving almost an hour… the employees pulled the ring out and said oh this is weird the ring is still broken. So I called my partner and he talked to them about how to resolve this. They said they could not repair it because the whole gem was missing which was very clear when we originally dropped it off. We were then informed the days the manager would be in to speak with them and resolve the issues. So we drove back another day. I told my partner I was staying in the car as I just wanted that same ring back I didn’t want to speak to anyone. The manager had him call me in to try on different rings. I tried on different rings out of the small assortment they had and any ones I was okay with they told me we’d have to pay extra because they were priced at a higher value than my ring. I was almost in tears and said I didn’t want to decide on a new ring and that I just want my replacement ring.
After having been in the store twice now and talking to support online and in store we discussed details further to ensure EVERY single person was on the same page about getting this done and dealt with. A support person online called the store and told us 100% we were going to get it fixed this time so we then drove again to drop it off. We just received another call after over a month saying that the ring has not been fixed…. Surprise! We said we just want our refund because at this point we’ve spent money in gas, money for the lifetime protection plan which was not honoured, given the run around about something that could be so simple and we spent several months dealing with the store and support than the one month I got to have this ring on my finger. I won’t ever be dealing with this company again and am extremely disappointed that a corporation as big as People’s is they can’t even communicate clearly and in a timely manner to the people trusting and investing in their jewelry. And to top this whole business off we have to drive back to the store location just to have the refund processed. RIDICULOUS.

After purchasing a lifetime warranty on my diamond band, the store (St Laurent location) are unable to find the purchase in their outdated system. (Even though I have the printed paper work). When chatting with Peoples info online as they suggested they will not assist me as my husband purchased this ring. Terrible store, terrible service. Do NOT BUY HERE

My wife and I were shopping for earrings for our daughter. The Asian saleswoman was showing us earrings on the web page and our eyes glanced at one that was listed as being at $110.49 (on sale).

Her counterpart Asian salesman said, "Come show them earrings from this rack. So she brought us over to that rack.

We found the earrings we wanted on the rack.

She put the asset tag number into the computer (20604394) which was entirely wrong (20456301 is the correct number). Note 20604394 on Aug 3, showed a pendant. But today Aug 5, it comes up empty.

So the woman knew the tag was incorrect. So she should have checked the website to get the correct price. Maybe she did. I don't know. But what I do know is that at the checkout, the price was almost double! (Around $244!)

We were about to pay, but I felt a hesitation. Was this really the price? Had I not seen a much lower price on the website?

Then I double-checked and sure enough, it was $110.49 plus tax. So I inquired.

Normally, you would expect the salesperson to immediately say there was a mistake. And she will correct it. And this is where I find the problem. No, instead, she said, it was because these were not the same earrings. I find this very hard to believe.

In fact, I checked the entire People Jewellers website and I did not find any other earrings that looked like that. They are the only ones.

What did this woman do? What asset number did she use to charge us? Should she not have asked someone what the problem was? Why tell us what appear to be an "abject lie" that these are not the same earrings?

Note to Peoples Jewellers! I have a picture of the earrings, and the incorrect asset tag and would be happy to show them to you! You can contact me at concernedcitizen at mailernet dot work and I will send them to you!

1. On their website, there were no other earrings like that.

2. Three times she had put in the asset (tag) number into the computer, in front of us, in the show room floor, and every time it came up as a "pendant" and not "earring".

3. Why was she easily willing to charge us almost double but she never once said "I made a mistake" or "the earrings are mislabelled"?

Trust level. 0.

Will definitely not be returning to that store!!!!

I went there to purchase a flat back earing which I saw in their website.
Price: $399 ×1 piece earring
I wanted to see them, the white and rounded lady kept on saying it is a nose ring. Once she showed it to me, she made me feel that I'm about to do a heist in their store. I felt like a burden to me. I'm a returning customer.
Horrible customer service!!!!

Ordered a gold Paperclip bracelet from them. Received it May 24/25. The clasp on it totally broke apart and the bracelet was laying on my counter. If I had been out, it would be lost. I called and even though it’s just over 2 mths, they don’t care. I had 60 days but because it’s a few days more, it’s my problem. Terrible quality that they don’t stand behind.

I’m extremely disappointed with People’s Jewellers. I purchased a diamond ring in 2015 and was told the Diamond Bond Guarantee offered lifetime protection, including free diamond replacement if one was lost. However, I’ve now been told they no longer honour this guarantee because it was purchased before a certain date.

This feels like a broken promise and poor customer service. If a lifetime guarantee can suddenly be invalidated years later without notice, what does that say about the value of their word or the trust customers place in them?

I expected more from a national jeweller and won’t be returning. If you're buying something as meaningful and expensive as diamond jewellery, be very cautious — what they promise at purchase may not hold up in the long run.

My girlfriend’s mom bought her a gold bracelet that broke within days. She returned it for repair, but a week later, it broke again and fell off—luckily, she noticed it both times. Frustrated, they went back to return it, only to be upsold a more expensive “higher-quality” bracelet. Two days later, it vanished from her wrist, a total loss. What a waste of money trusting a company that sells such poor-quality jewelry. Avoid them

People’s Jewellers completely ruined what should’ve been a special experience. I ordered a wedding ring (Order #10001153422010) TWO WEEKS before my wedding — and they couldn’t even deliver on that. No updates, no accountability, and when I finally got through to someone after chasing them down, they still had no answers. Just empty apologies and delays. Now they have stopped answering any emails.

I was forced to order a last-minute backup ring from Amazon because I couldn’t trust People’s to get their act together. Imagine scrambling for a wedding ring DAYS before your ceremony because the company you trusted just dropped the ball. It’s pathetic.

This is a jeweller — weddings are supposed to be their bread and butter. Instead, I got stress, disappointment, and zero support. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Shop anywhere else.

I purchased a necklace from People‘s jeweller in Southgate Mall Edmonton for my daughter with a warranty, but the gift was given after 30 days… it ended up not suiting her so I wanted to return it. I understood it was after 30 days so would only receive a credit and that would be fine, but I was told point-blank there was absolutely no return and it would not be put towards a credit! The woman at the counter said it’s an American company and they run it like the military with no exceptions. I will never buy a piece of jewellery from people’s jeweller ever again. Ever! I feel with a piece of jewellery only being 45 days old with a receipt and never being worn is worthy of getting a credit, but people’s jeweller does not think that. Never again!

I experienced excellent customer service from Anna at Peoples Jewelers Scarborough Town Center. She went above and beyond with her service. I will be returning to that location.

Ordered a mother's Day ring on May 6th. The main home page of their site showed I had a few days left to order something to have it ready for mother's Day. After they take my money, they tell me it won't be delivered till May 29th. Couldn't even cancel the order either. Also another lie, their site says they only bill the credit card when the item has been delivered. My item has not been delivered, money is out of my account, I can't cancel it and now I'm not getting it for 2 more weeks

Do not order online from this company. I paid for an item back on March 17, and then charged again on April 2. They do not know which way is up. Money hungry - Agreed.

Never order from here! Misleading policies. I purchased a ring for my wife and two stones fell out after wearing it once, yes once! They then tell us there’s nothing grey could do even as it fell under the return policy. Terrible customer service and will never visit any of their stores again. They should be ashamed of themselves.

If I could give 10 stars to Virginia at the Fairview mall kitchener store I would! My husband and I went into the store last week to try and exchange my bracelet that kept breaking but unfortunately left the store with my broken bracelet and no resolution. But today Virginia helped us and made it all right! Wish we dealt with Virginia last week? If you are looking for someone to give you the best advice and knowledge on jewelry get Virginia to help you!

I had the worst experience with Peoples Jewellers Online. I ordered a package expecting home delivery, but instead, it was misdirected to a random UPS Access Point without my consent. When I went to the store (Dollar 'N' Plus, 14320 64 Ave, Surrey, BC V3W 1Z1), they had no idea about my package!

Customer service provided misleading information, wasted my time, and offered no real solution. My package is now lost, and I have received zero accountability from Peoples Jewellers. This is completely unacceptable for a company handling valuable items.

I would never trust them again.Absolutely horrible experience! 👎👎👎

The Welland People’s Jewellery associates were very helpful and took the time and effort to help with my return. They were professional and I am very satisfied with the service I received!
