Best thing that ever happened to me
Best thing that ever happened to me, gave me freedom to start and finish a song from start to mastering. Done

"Done" might be the best word in the whole process . Most producers have a hard drive full of ideas that never made it to mastering, so taking one all the way yourself is no small thing. Really glad the path got you there, keep them coming.

Definitely a game changer
The courses are well filmed, it feels like watching TV but at the same time you're learning. The grade system was well developed and it provides you with real opportunities to develop a career. You need to follow their guidance and participate in the activities to benefit from this course to the maximum of it's potential. Definitely a game changer.

Thanks for this. The bit we appreciate most is yours: the guidance and the activities only pay off if you actually show up for them. Good to hear the grading system is landing too, watching your own progression stack up level by level is half the motivation. Enjoy the next one.

This program has changed my life!
I was inspired to join PTDJA (elite tier) after watching testimonials of some previous top 10 winners. It couldn’t have found me at a better time in my life, as I was creating a little momentum with a monthly dj residency at a bar on the West Side of LA. I had the talent, ambition and was fully committed to my craft, but I hadn’t produced/finished much music. I knew I had to level up in every way possible, because everyone is a DJ in LA - everywhere really- so I felt invisible. But I’m crafty- I always find a way. I saw this as an amazing opportunity to actually learn music production, and to polish my DJ skills. After completing both the DJ and Production courses, (now at level G3) , I feel truly humbled. I had no idea I would learn so much in depth information about production. Learning the history of so many legendary artists and observing their mixing techniques during the DJ sets was a huge treat as well.
If you’re truly passionate about being a successful DJ /Producer, this is an amazing opportunity to get in front of the people and labels that will launch your career.

Hi Sage, you brought the talent and the ambition with you. What you did here was close the gap on the production side, and G3 across both paths is no small thing. Loved that watching the artists mix felt like a treat rather than homework, because that's the mindset that keeps people improving for decades. Now go and finish some music ;) The PTDJA Team

Although the academy was made with a lot of professional Djs, the majority of the feedback and answers for your questions is given by other participants. I would like to see more presence of those professional artist in the community rather than the ambassadors or other students

Navigating the website is tricky for someone new. Also I feel the offer of 50% discount on the Ableton software for those on the Producer Course should be way more apparent than it is. Luckily I knew of the offer but I’m sure some that didn’t were paying full price.

Thanks for this, it's exactly the kind of feedback we can act on. You're right that the Campus takes some finding your way around at first, which is why there's a dedicated onboarding walkthrough new students can take as their very first step. We're going to put that far more front and centre than it is today. Same with the Ableton offer: it lives in the producer resources, but if you had to already know about it to find it, it isn't visible enough. Both are getting highlighted properly.

Thanks Federico, this means a lot. The community is really just the members, so what you're describing is people like you showing up for each other every day. Glad the knowledge keeps pulling you deeper, that "one more lesson" feeling is a good sign.

Learning that bends around your schedule is exactly how it's meant to work, Sveta, so it's good to hear it's fitting into yours. And the global part isn't a figure of speech: students across 140 countries, all in the same rooms, all at different hours. Glad you're one of them.

Just Do It.
I took a chance on this and I am so glad I did! I love the community they have built, they have solid courses that taught me so much! I have completed the Producer and Mixing and Mastering courses, i plan on tackling DJing next. Excellent investment in yourself if you love to make music. I started in 8/25 and have completed aforementioned courses by 5/26. The courses were challenging but they were also fun. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. They are a licensed Ableton instructor as well so you will learn EDM's most common DAW.

Two full course paths in nine months, Producer then Mixing and Mastering, is no small thing, and the fact you found them challenging and fun at the same time tells us you were properly in it. Thanks for the words about the community too: it's the members who make it what it is, and you're one of them now. Enjoy the DJing path when you get there.

Amazing 👏
The journey with PTDJA is so amazing. It is not just about the knowledge but also about finding your true self during the process of learning. At least for me 💓
I only hope that at some point there will also be more space for interactive teaching and mentoring. Going through the lessons alone requires a special kind of motivation and discipline, and we all face blockages at some point. That’s where having more guidance and human-to-human interaction can really help us overcome the harder parts more easily and stay on track. I think a bit more mentoring would add a lot of value to the program. But overall, the lessons are exceptional and very well created, in my opinion.
Thank you for being ❤️

"Finding your true self during the process" is a line we'll be thinking about for a while. Thank you for that. Your mentoring point is a fair one and it's gone to the team: the weekly live mentoring sessions exist for exactly the blockage moments you describe, so if you haven't been to one yet, come to the next. The hard parts get smaller when you say them out loud. ❤️

Great enough
So far, I feel the Academy is completely worth it. My 4 stars (instead of 5) is because i feel they overpromise professional engagement with superstars.
I did not expect Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, Diplo, etc. to check my weekly homework, of course, but I just feel they should be engaged a little more. 🫶
Otherwise, its extremely good to any level of DJ/Producer.

Thank you for such a thoughtful review, and for the four stars. Really glad the Academy is proving worth it for you. Your point on artist engagement is fair and we appreciate you raising it honestly. The headline artists lead the masterclasses and share how they actually work, while the week-to-week engagement comes from the live mentoring sessions, the feedback moments built into your course path, and the community itself. That said, your feedback goes straight to the team, because how we set expectations matters to us. Keep pushing, and enjoy the journey. 🎧

I enjoy the academy very much.
I think it takes a bit of an intermediate approach with some beginner stuff. Which is fine to me.
Plenty of solid info and this to work on. I think it's worth it. thanks

Glad it's landing well. That read on the level is fair: the paths deliberately mix foundations with more intermediate ground, so there's something to fall back on and something to stretch towards depending on where you are. Sounds like you've got plenty to work through, which is exactly the idea. Thanks for taking the time to write this.

The right choice
I was honestly very satisfied, I believe that the course is very well structured and for all levels; the thing that I liked the most is having the opportunity to be viewed and judged by people who are experts in this profession in the end what interests us is to understand if what we are doing with music is simply a hobby or if the idea of embarking on a career in this sector can be considered.
In addition, the possibility of participating in Talent Pools is a real opportunity to become even more aware of ourselves.
14 augustus 2026
Antwoord van Pete Tong DJ Academy
This is exactly why the feedback sessions exist. Anyone can tell you your track is great; far fewer people will tell you honestly where you stand and what it would take. Glad you took that on, and glad the Talent Pools felt like a genuine door rather than a gimmick. Looking forward to hearing what you send in next 🔥

The just focus on young people as a new talent. They don’t give chance to people unless you keep paying them.

Antwoord van Pete Tong DJ Academy
Alberto, we'd rather answer this properly than brush it off. On age: we don't select by it, and we never have. Plenty of the people getting the most out of the Campus came to production in their thirties, forties and beyond, and the artists teaching here have decades behind them, so the idea that only the young get looked at isn't how any of this works. On opportunities: being considered costs nothing beyond being a member. There's no fee to enter a Talent Pool, no paid queue, no way to buy a listen. What gets someone noticed here is the same thing that has always got people noticed in this industry: work that makes people stop and listen, sent in again and again until it does. That door is open to you at any age, and the only real way to find out is to keep putting the music in front of us.
