Teachers + Courses A+ | Support Needs a L'il More Focus
I love the courses and all of the professors. They were all great but I found Diplo's advice to be particularly insightful. They have had a couple of hiccups with my account but eventually made it right. One thing I would recommend constructively is afterhours to have some support available. The AI tool doesn't cut it, and waiting all weekend when there's a deadline isn't fun; especially when it's a system error. Still recommending it to people who it can be helpful to and will continue to support PTDJA!

No refunds for a junk program about good ol days.
Within minutes of purchasing the program I knew I made a mistake. The onboarding process was very disjointed, emails went to spam, and were from different senders from the billing, and they were not immediately sent, making it difficult to source the onboarding emailS needed.
The course kicks off and all the legends are there but they are talking about nastalgia, the way things used to be and more time is spent talking about the good old times than talking about what to do to become a DJ.
The videos are not well produced either.
I ended up bailing on the program within a few days and went to seek a refund...no refunds!
Junk program, bad delivery, and no refunds, stay away!

On support: we can see your ticket from 11 July and our reply on 13 July checking everything was sorted, but no refund request has reached us on our side unfortunately.
On the course itself: the artist masterclasses are deliberately experience led, because hearing how those careers were really built is part of the value. The practical, step by step teaching lives in the structured course paths, over 130 lessons per course, with exercises and weekly live mentoring and feedback. We'd have loved you to reach that part, and we know the format suits some learners more than others.

So much industry information and insane opportunities under one subscription, the value for money is unmatched. The tutors are extremely passionate and helpful. They genuinely want you to grow and succeed.

Scam alert! Shows a picture of Carl Cox djing and is he one of the professors that shows up to the course and teaches ? That’s what I thought.
When I went to my first rave, I thought “wow these drinks cost an arm and a leg…one more vodka rocks please bartender with a splash of orange juice…make it a double…”
Next thing u know I’ve spent 50 bucks but at least I got something out of it and meandered around the festival in a drunken, swirly state and had a moderately good time listening to cheeseStep and dubstep and tech house. Dj spaztik was on and dj Leo Levi were on another level that night and to me, changed edm forever.
Now I didn’t know that taking an intro to edm and music theory type of basic course, which I could have learned free of c charge from YouTube, would drain my account of another 50$ that I could have shoved down my gullet instead!
And the course had no “head change” whatsoever meaning I was sober when I enrolled and sober when I “finished” the many chapter online course!
The community: what a load of bollocks it is. Everyone’s trying to promote they own thang and they give 2 shoots less if a real gangster dj out scratches them or outperforms them in production or djing. They just accept it and still try to promote? Dont you see something wrong with here with that attitude. F-

Hi there, thanks for taking the time, even if we're clearly not walking away with a passing grade here. A few things worth clarifying, for you and anyone reading.
Carl Cox is one of our tutors, alongside Pete Tong, Diplo, Adam Beyer, Nicole Moudaber and others. They teach through the courses themselves and appear in live sessions, while weekly mentoring and feedback come from our pro tutor team. The comparison with free YouTube tutorials comes up sometimes, and the honest answer is that what you're paying for isn't information, it's structure: each path runs 130+ lessons with exercises, tests and a progression that builds week on week, which is exactly what scattered videos can't give you.
On the community: it's not a place to passively admire other DJs, it's where members get feedback on their work, enter contests with partners like Elrow, Beatport and Ministry of Sound, and submit tracks to our Label Radar. Students have gone from those activities to playing real club slots. Promotion and mutual support aren't opposites in this industry; every working DJ does both.
If the beginner path sat below where you already are, that's fair feedback and we've taken it. And if you'd like us to look at anything on your account, please open a ticket inside our help center (inside the e-campus) and one of our tutors will pick it up.

10 Reasons Why I give up of Pete Tong…
10 Reasons Why I give up of Pete Tong DJ Academy:
1. The school refuses to give me the correct and incorrect answers I gave on an exam and is making me repeat the course from the beginning. A serious school doesn't do that. A real teacher shows students the correct and incorrect answers they gave on a test.
2. I'm competing for the main event of the year, and the school, because it says it's a matter of logistics, is already choosing the DJs who will play while students are submitting before the deadline. Again, a serious and credible school doesn't do this.
3. For one year, the school was free, in the second year it's paid, but the worst part is that I have to retake the DJ course for the second time, which was already almost finished, I was 74% complete when it was free... and now I have to pay.
4. I do practically 100% of the exercises, all top-notch and the kind any DJ would envy, but the school says they don't count towards the final grade. Worse than that, they told me to remove the school logo from the cover of these mixes because they're more concerned about copyright. And once again, a real school doesn't do that.
5. The most ridiculous thing the school asked me to do was a 10-in-10 mix set after being selected for the event. Worse than that, they were supposed to notify me by email, and that never happened; I had to go to the platform to find out.
6. One of the most serious things the school did to me was censor my work that I posted on the right sites, and just because I was promoting myself, they deleted those posts. I live in a democracy, not a dictatorship. If England left the EU, it's not my fault, but I won't accept them deleting my art, and nobody will!
7. Since the school has a partnership with Beatport, once I submitted a set and they said, "Your set is good, but it wasn't chosen this time." Wrong, they should have chosen it because my sets are and will continue to be above average.
8. I don't feel obligated to like or comment on other people's work when I don't need to, but the school thinks we should. Wrong. Worse than that, other students asked me to like or comment to be part of the "community."
9. I can't be part of a school that treats me like I'm a mediocre artist or just another one paying 99 euros a year. Apparently, I invested in the wrong school and the wrong teachers.
10. Last but not least, I can't be part of a school that doesn't see or doesn't want to see my talent and potential.

First, the concrete one: your DJ course progress should not have been reset in the platform transition. Please open a support request ticket inside the help center of your campus profile and the team will look at restoring it. On exams, we hear you: the education team is reviewing how to give students more detailed feedback after a test without compromising the exam itself. On the contest, selections follow the published rules of each activity, and if something looked off in the one you entered, tell in the help center which activity and we'll check it. On the posts: community guidelines shape where self-promotion lives on the Campus, and that's never a judgement on the work itself. Same with the logo request, which is licensing housekeeping, nothing more.
Your talent doesn't need our permission, but the effort you've described deserves a proper look at your case. The door's open.
