Had the choice of getting item from Ali Express but this company pretends to have stock on hand in New Zealand so paid slightly more thinking it would be quicker delivery. Do not be fooled like me. They are obviously drop-shipping from China and send repeated delayed updates to the ETA. I could easily have had the item from Ali Express by now, but the 4th ETA they've given, has been and gone today, with no item.

After reading a couple of bad reviews on here, I was bit nervous buying from this online store, so I rang Photogear to make sure they had the product I wanted. I couldn't find it anywhere else's in New Zealand. The person who answered my call was friendly and also answered my questions about another produced with trying to push a sale. It was mid afternoon on a Monday when I placed the order and late morning on the Wednesday (2 days), when it was delivered from the North to the South Island. I did have a few hours of concern when I checked my order status, and it said completed instead of ready to ship, so it would be great if that could be tweaked. Other than that, a perfect experience, and I will definitely buy from Photogear again.

Unfortunately, it was the worst experience I've had purchasing from a NZ Store online. Ordered on 15 March, they tried telling me it has been delivered when clearly said "delayed" on NZPost tracking. Waited a few more days didn't move. So, I tried contacting them 4 days no reply after they said they'll look into it. So called them instead to try sort it faster...
Said they'll call back in hour and half, no call back, so I called them almost 3 hours later to get another update. But no update. They said they'll call back again... nothing... so I called back at 4:17pm knowing they close in an hourish. Tried telling me they couldn't do anything till NZPost gets back to them. (We are now on 27th March). Wouldn't send me a replacement for the missing items. So they had my money and I had no items to show for it. After telling Alex I'd come into the store myself physically and get them items I ordered, he said he could refund me after that.
So just a heads up, BEWARE buying online from these guys. Otherwise you may be bringing some of your mates over to visit them to actually get your stuff or money.

I ordered the small rig duel magnetic sucksion cup support kit for action cameras. This is an incredible item. I would highly recommend it.

Ordered some Wasabi camera batteries from them about a fortnight ago that were "In stock, next day shipping the website also said that I would get an Email showing freight costs but it never arrived. I haven't heard from them since I made the initial order, my account says that the order is waiting fulfillment but they have taken the money for the order out of my account. They don't respond to Emails and the phone numbers on their website don't seem to work, one number is not connected and the other goes to a private line. I suspect it is a scam. Would use zero stars but website won't let me.

I found the photgear website really helpful - especially liked how they had independent products vids on each page - made it easy to determine the right product.

I emailed with three questions. Got a fast and friendly response.

Placed my order which was dispatched next business day and turned up the following.

Spot on and super easy.

I was unsure whether the website was legit or not but I still decided to buy a lens on their website. I placed my order on Wednesday and received a shipment email Thursday and had the item in my hand on Friday. Their website has a great selection of products and is easy to use. I would 100% buy off there again. Product was exactly what I ordered. Super fast delivery. Im a very happy customer

Photoshop gave me my order in high quality, in really nice packaging really fast. Their communication was great.

1 month for a prduct to be delivered within 350km.
Had first e mail 2 days after bought the item stating delivery would have being late of 2 or 3 days, after 3 weeks, I had to contact them to know what happen to my item, I received another e mail with the changed delivery status to a week after.
Bought the item on a 21st of a month to be received after a month and a week.

Shocking service, sold the wrong item to me after I asked for what I needed and gave them the model number. Returned the item after receiving it and they claimed "we can't find it so can't give you an exchange or refund" after me proving it was returned and when it was returned. They kept my money and ignored me. Total scam!!

Okay i didnt actually buy anything cause i think its a scam, theres about 100 5 star reviews from an account they must have made to push their ratings up and their checkout very suspision. Im onto them
