Fantastic super fast service

Fantastic super fast service, received my postage pack the next day sent off my items and the money was in my bank the following day. This is a great service I was so worried of getting conned by a scam which this definitely isn't, I would highly recommend 😀

Highly recommended, fast efficient service and decent price paid.

I had a platinum ring to dispose of and being the type to sell things on when of no use, I scoured the net looking for a suitable platinum buyer.

I shortlisted a few, Platinum Trader being one of them. Submitted my details online. Expected an acknowledgement email but nothing came. So I made contact with another trader and they took my details.

Fast forward a day later, received an envelope through the post from Platinum Trader. I completed a form and popped my ring into the Royal Mail Special Delivery envelope, then took it to the post office.

The next day, Jonathon got in touch and offered a good price for my ring which met my expectations. Money was then deposited into my account a few hour later.

Super fast, efficient service. The only downside was not getting an acknowledgement email directly after submitting my details.

I highly recommend Platinum Trader to sell your platinum jewellery to.

After first contacting Platinum Trader…

After first contacting Platinum Trader with a description of the item I was selling, I quickly received an offer that was significantly more than I had received from local buyers. Wishing to proceed, a self addressed insured postage pack was sent out to me. Once Platinum Buyer received my item by return the next day, they confirmed their original offer and funds were received to my bank account promptly. The process was seamless from start to finish and communications were exceptional. Be assured that Platinum Buyer left me feeling delighted with the whole end to end experience, price offered and received.

Smooth process

Smooth process from start to finish. I didn't have to haggle as I was offered a fair price. Funds were in my bank the same day. Would highly recommend.

Make sure you weigh your jewellery items before sending

I checked this company on Trustpilot and saw that it had several good reviews before deciding to proceed. I have to say that I am disappointed. I knew the price at which my jewellery should be valued as Platinum Trader display on their website what they offer per gram for each precious metal. I weighed everything prior to sending and was shocked by the low offer so I was then offered a higher amount which still fell far short so I explained that I knew what the offer actually should be and sent a message showing how I'd worked out the total price. Unsurprisingly, I was then offered that very amount. I also had to chase up the payment into my bank account, even though they advertise immediate settlement. I would be very careful if you decide to sell your jewellery to Platinum Trader.

We are very sorry you feel you have had an experience that did not meet your expectations. Your items were received at our offices on the morning of Friday 8th March. The items were assessed and tested and an offer was made to you within hours of receipt. You were not happy with the initial offer and we agreed to pay you what you wanted for your material. As it was a Friday you were informed that cleared funds may not show in your account until Monday 11th March. We do not advertise immediate payment. Due to banking security protocols we work towards payment within 24 hours of receipt but advertise 48 (business) hours. Cleared funds were in your nominated bank account by 1200hours on the Monday. During our conversations you mentioned you wanted to keep a couple of items of jewellery for sentimental reasons which we totally understood. These items were returned to you at no cost to you which is part of our normal business offering. You achieved the price you wanted for your jewellery, with cleared funds in your account the next working day and took advantage of our free postage and returns system.
In the circumstances we are disappointed you felt the need to post this review. However we thank you for your business.

service is quick an hassle free

Platinum traders' service is quick and easy, with no hassle at all; with just a simple click and a bit of information, I was able to send my unused gold directly to Platinum Traders, who were quick to assess and value the gold with competitive pricing and send the payment within minutes of it being settled so I would highly recommend.
