The customer service is terrible they spend so much time typing to someone else to give you the answers to pacify you it's just God awful I would not do that ever do business with them.
Very unhappy with this bank!
The people at the bank don't seem to know what they're doing or know anything about anything. They will transfer you and transfer you and ultimately you will get nowhere. I deposited a handwritten payroll check about a month ago and they have still yet to release it to me. Shouldn't they be able to tell if their bank received the money or not? They said I will not be able to receive it for what is like a month and a halfs time frame.. My account is frozen and no one can seem to figure it out; "I just have to wait for it to clear". I am very unhappy and I will probably be banking with someone else really soon.

I banked with them for 10 plus years. I accidentally paid too much on a credit card. They charged me $33 to not fix it. And proceeded to lecture me. So for 0 service, I got charged $33 and a lecture. I'm kinda bummed.

I wish I had read the reviews prior to opening an account with PNC last month. They take forever to make funds available. First I linked an outside checking account to transfer money since I had opened the account online. They held the funds for almost a week before they showed available in the account. Next they held my direct deposit from my job for an additional 2 days. Due to the issues with online transfers- I went to the bank to deposit a paper check directly into the account. I used the ATM at a PNC location to complete this transaction. It stated that if this was done before 10pm that the funds would be available by the next day. The funds were never deposited. I used their chat feature to see why the funds were not available and was informed that there was a hold on the funds by the fraud department. I spoke with someone in the fraud department and they mentioned there was an issue with the image of the check that they needed to review further and it would result in the funds being held for 7 days! I informed them that the check was scanned with their ATM machine and asked how could there be an image issue? The representative then stated that since I called in he could expedite the review by sending an escalation ticket. I will be closing this account.

Worst bank I have ever dealt with
Worst bank I have ever dealt with. Messed up my truck payment and credit card payment. They put the truck payment on the card. Tried to get it fixed , and they took the truck payment out along with my card payment and charged me a late fee then on my card. I’m done with them.
Poor customer service
Called pnc due to discrepancy in app balance and my checking personal record that I keep a running total to the penny. 1st person spoke poor English and kept messing up hundred and thousands of dollar amount. Ask for supervisor sent to credit card. She was nice and sent me to checking because checking is not her area. Again messing up money amounts. Had to repeat myself several times. Had hard time getting to her supervisor. Finally able to speak to a supervisor. He's putting in dispute.
Spent 2 hours on phone and situation not resolved. I have been with pnc (or banks they bought out) for over 30 years.
The 3rd person I spoke to said they would call me back in 24 to 48 hours whenever they had time. I feel like they think I work for them not they work for me. They have closed branch offices where you truly felt like that you as a customer was truly the best part of pnc.
PNC Has no Customer Service
Twice now, been put on hold for over 20 minutes in what would have taken two minutes. Staff is extremely unhelpful and more interested in passing off inquiries to some other department! PNC essentially has no customer service. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH PNC AGAIN!

They withdraw money from your account without notice.
I opened a savings account with $200, trying to start saving for my son's future; a year later, I checked the account and found it held only $40. Every month that I didn't make a deposit, they deducted $5 from the account without any prior warning or explanation. I do not recommend it—not to mention that the interest yield was less than 1%. I updated my address via the app, but apparently, that update was never transmitted to the central system. I never received a single email from the bank regarding my balance or anything else. I then went to close the account—and, of course, that turned into yet another headache. Now I have to wait another 5 days just to try again. Unbelievable.

A low quality institution with awful customer service if you have any issues. It’s basically a bank that looks down on the average person, it’s felt throughout.
Buyer beware
Buyer beware, PNC bank is nothing but problems. They will lie to you. They will not listen to you, and most of all I have felt so harassed with PNC bank. The list goes on and on. This PNC bank only cares about 1 thing and it's definitely not the customer. I have grown to despise this company for putting me through hell!! Worst customer care I have ever endured.

PNC is illegally debiting my credit card and when I call to straighten it out, no one "has the ability to do that" and pushes me off to someone else who either hangs up on me or sends me to voice mail and no one calls me back.

Branch staff was amazing, however customer service and the fraud team could use some customer service training. Called and was hung up on 3 times. This has been the worst bank I have ever experienced. I have friends who are business owners they use PNC I am asking them to switch banks. Poor customer service and they close your account and can’t tell you a reason why. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was denied Everytime. Very upset about the customer service experience and miscommunication. Don’t trust this bank!

I’m currently on hold it’s Wednesday. I called them last Thursday and changed my adresss . They said “ok it takes three days to process you will have to call us back in three days to wait for your address to change” I said sure. It is next wed. I’ll called back like they asked me to do. This guy is like “so I have changed your address you have to wait 3 days like I’ve already done. And he has no explanation as to why I’m doing this twice/ my old card is canceled . What is wrong with these people. I hate this bank, thier systems. As soon as I can walk again (ACL) surgery I’m changing banks. Hope PNC sees this .
Money deposited into wrong account
Went to the only PNC bank available in my area (all others have been closed). Wanted to deposit money into my account ending in specific nos. I have my account and couple of joint accounts. When I tell them to deposit into the standard checking account with my name on it, they deposit into a my child's account.
When I point out the mistake, the clerk hyper ventilates like I made a mistake. With more hyper ventilation she fixes it and when I check in online banking the amount was showing both my child's account and my account.
When I mentioned this, the clerk was showing frustration to check it (more hyper ventilation again). Fixed it now and said 'you should be good now'. I remember the days when there used to be 'customer service'. No apology for the mistake made. She made me look like it is my fault that I came to the bank and made her work.
Pnc steals
Even if you opt out of overdraft coverage pnc bank will still cover the costs and charge your acc the overdraft fee s.thats called stealing.
There's no reason to opt out of overdraft protection because they will do whatever they want and take the 36.00

pnc is one of the most dishonest and corrupt organizations in World history. The low level of customer service, combined with the uneducated overseas agents is astounding. The phillipines is a hotbed for fraud, and their actions take part in it. I had my account closed for absolutely no reason. Be warned, pnc does not care about you, and they will not assist you in any way shape or form. I spoke with an agent from corporate named ''cathy'' whom claims she is from pnc executive offices. This woman is either confused, or outright deceptive, I'd say its a combination of the two. She wasted my time not once, but twice. cathy made excuses, and pretended none of what occured with my account was a problem. She never once offered to lend a helping hand. I hope anyone reading this will tread carefully, Try Chase, or any other financial institution, pnc is by far the worst and most corrupt. The reviews speak for themselves.

I am currently deployed overseas with the U.S. military, and this bank has made a difficult situation even worse. Both of my credit cards were closed due to fraud, and I requested replacements to be sent to my APO address. At first, they told me they don’t ship to APOs. Fine—I provided a local overseas address instead, and they confirmed it was acceptable.
I gave them more than enough time to process the change, but then they called to say I needed to close both cards again before they could reissue them, even though the cards were already supposed to be closed. They also told me the address change needed to be redone, despite the fact that I had already completed it three separate times.
It has now been two weeks, and I still cannot get my address updated or my cards reissued. The level of disorganization and lack of support—especially for someone deployed overseas—is extremely disappointing.
I’ve been a customer for over 16 years, and this has been the worst service I’ve ever experienced.
