Trash company, do not bank with them!

Trash company. I’ve banked with US Bank my entire life. Started with a joint account with my dad when I was a kid. Once I became an adult I took him off my account. Or so I thought. Come to find out when he died, he had still been on it this whole time, able to look at and access my account. Contacted them again to inform them of his death and get him taken off AGAIN. Flash forward to this year when I had a legal name change and needed to update it. Spent over half an hour on the phone with the person who kept calling me the wrong name despite knowing the reason for the phone call. Finally get done and am getting a letter in the mail that I need to sign. It arrives needing both mine and MY DEAD DAD’S signature. Who I’ve already taken off my account twice now. This whole process takes two months of back and forth, just to find out that my credit cards aren’t even updated along with the bank. Had to do that separately which I was never informed of. Finally get the new cards, and yet the mail is addressed to the old name still! I’ve only stayed with them so long out of convenience, but I’m done with them. DO NOT BANK WITH THEM. This isn’t even mentioning all the bullshit fees and other issues I’ve had. Garbage bank.

I wish i could give it 0 stars! they charged my 6.50$ a month for a paper statement!!! its 2026 and you are hiding a fee in a the bill@! do not open an account with this bank it is a scam on a scam. bad news. Lost 20$ and then was locked out of transfering my own money from my account! scam

The us bank customer i was dealing with for a used motor gentleman name David business name auto parts connector llc it has three different business's
Now for the reality of it all his bank account is threw us bank way I see it bank that allows theives and scam artists this bank obviously dont give a crap about your money my money just the money of scam s and thieves thats why they use them
The reviews posted are from us the ones ripped off done wrong by the fith latest bank one question bank president and all the big salary suck a** how would you like it if you were ripped off oh but wait you got the cash to hire counsel the rest of us dont think about that tonight when your sleeping soundly

Legal scam

I was given a direct deposit paycard from my employeer. Had to be US Bank for daily pay. Set up another direct depoist to the card. Triggered a security alert. They held my deposit. Still waiting

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. These are humans that stick to a script and completely ignore your questions or if what they are saying is not applicable to your issue they continue to repeat it. If you question them they freak out . They are either incapable of critical thought or they are not allowed to deviate from the script- which has little to do with the details you are needing .

WORST Business credit card experience EVER!

After applying for a business credit card and after NO response over 12 days, I called and was on hold for the "verifications" department for over 1 hour and 40 minutes and was hung up on before reaching anyone!! After that (a week later), same experience. A woman answered, I spoke, and she spoke over me saying that I would need to call the number again and then HUNG UP after I had been on hold for almost 1 hour and 45 minutes!! SCARY!! STAY AWAY from this horrible bank with ZERO concern about anyone, including long-standing clients!!

Masterclass in Corporate Arrogance and Customer Hostage-Taking

U.S. Bank treats your money like a bureaucratic weapon and your time like it’s disposable, turning what should be simple financial management into a nonstop nightmare of incompetence and contempt. Time after time, the bank has flagged my legitimate transactions for fraud with zero warning, zero attempt to verify anything, and zero hesitation to slam my accounts shut, leaving me completely cut off from my own funds while they play judge, jury, and executioner. The same arrogant silence greets their disastrous electronic check deposit process: deposits get rejected for laughable “image errors,” yet the bank can’t be bothered to send a single notification, forcing me to sit in limbo, chasing down money that should already be available.

Even when you finally reach their customer service reps—who are often polite enough—the friendly smiles are meaningless because the real problem is baked into the organization itself. Management at this multi-billion-dollar giant is so breathtakingly incompetent that frontline staff have no power to actually fix anything, leaving you trapped in endless layers of red tape and scripted non-solutions.

The end result is total loss of control: routine banking becomes a daily exercise in frustration and helplessness, with U.S. Bank acting less like a partner and more like an obstacle deliberately designed to make you fight for access to your own cash. This isn’t banking—it’s customer sabotage dressed up as service, and it exposes the institution as one of the most obstructive, tone-deaf operations in the entire industry. If you value basic respect, transparency, or any sense of reliability, run far away.

Inside Credit card fraud. Taking unauthorized funds from our bank.

I have had 2 credit cards with Us Bank for 8 years. And continue to have an 810 or higher credit score. Us Bank has had some serious inside fraudulent charges from corrupt employees and owners stealing customers money. And pulling large unauthorized payments out of my personal banking account. US Bank is no longer a trusted Bank or Credit Card service provider.

This is the most inconvenient banking…

This is the most inconvenient banking institution I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. I have been a U.S. Bank customer for years. I deposited a physical check in the ATM. It took 11 days to clear. I recently deposited a check through the mobile banking app that I was given through the bank on April 4. The bank said my funds will be available by the 14th. They were indeed still being held up. I received a letter saying that they were going to continue to delay my funds until now the 16th unacceptable that you purposely delay your customers who have never bounced a check in their account since the account has been opened. Additionally, this was a work check from an employer that had been in my account previously it should not have taken this long, and I got a letter stating that they were purposely delaying me. I will be closing my account and withdrawing every dime out of this bank do not bank with U.S. Bank. they are inconvenient. Do not care about their customers and it takes entirely too long for them to release your funds. If you want a piece of mind and access to your funds in a timely manner bank somewhere else not U.S. Bank.

If I could give this bank 0 stars I would. They keep sending alerts about verifying my purchases when I clearly approved them previously by verifying. Hours are terrible for support when I am trying to reach them and they closed my account without warning or telling me. I had to find out because my account didn't work. I can only deposit or withdraw so I have to do it through zelle from my other bank account because they are not close by to withdraw or deposit.

If I could leave zero stars

If I could leave zero stars, I would. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience.

My mortgage payment has been withdrawn multiple times in a single month. Each time I call, they issue refunds—but then I end up being refunded for payments that were already processed correctly, creating even more confusion.

I recently called because I was concerned about why my mortgage balance suddenly increased, even after speaking with someone the week prior who assured me everything was corrected and that I would receive a refund check. Now, no one can clearly explain what happened to my March payment, despite it being taken from my account.

During one call, I spoke with someone named Shawna, who identified herself as a supervisor. She repeatedly called me “stupid and slow,” which is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

After reviewing my account, I noticed I’ve now been issued multiple refunds, and I’m still waiting on another check—while being told I owe over $4,000 due to errors on their end.

I truly wish my mortgage was with another company, or at the very least that they would improve their customer service. Aside from one helpful representative I was disconnected from, every other interaction has been rude and disappointing.

Late my payments become delinquent?

I called U.S. Bank today about my small business credit card to see if there was any way to lower my interest rate. I’ve been a loyal customer for years and have never missed a payment.

What I was told honestly shocked me.

The representative said the only way they could consider lowering my interest rate is if I become 30 days late on a payment. So basically, I’m being told to hurt my credit and be irresponsible just to get help?

On top of that, she suggested I go to National Debt Relief—so instead of helping a customer in good standing, I’m being pushed to a completely different company.

I was trying to do the responsible, proactive thing, and instead I left feeling like loyalty means nothing. Really disappointing experience. SSFCU deserves my money!

Stop being rude and mean, you are representing an establishment and consumers have options

There were two Tellers working in the lobby in Matteson, Illinois and one in the drive thru. I waited in line patiently while the Teller finished with one gentleman after about fifteen minutes, then she called someone over who had been sitting. That is not the problem. I decided to go through the drive thru to complete my transaction. The older lady who line I was waiting in, came on the camera to say to me, "We will be with you once we see everyone in the lobby." I said "o.k." She was not originally at the drive thru window. So, why would this lady go out of her way to say this to me? From the drive thru, you cannot see inside of the bank due to the bank logo being across the windows, so had she chosen to do that without telling me, I would not have known. The only reason I can think of why this lady would go out of her way to be rude and mean, is because she took it personal. This is the type of person who is miserable in her everyday life and comes to work to make everyone else miserable. Was I going to match her negative energy? No, I was not. My point being, if you don't like your job, go find another one. I have the option to leave the lobby and go through the drive thru, just like I have the option to withdraw all of my money from this bank and go somewhere else.

Terrible Bank

It's been less than a week since I opened an account in this bank and I can receive money but I can't dispose of my money, they don't allow me to use my money until they want, it's a terrible bank, I don't recommend it at all, for sure I'll close the account in this bank I just have to wait for them to decide that I can use MY MONEY, MY MONEY THAT I EARN WORKING but I can't use because this bank decides that it's okay for me to deposit them and then not allow myself to use my money. Customer service is disgusting, a lady hung up on me without even trying to solve my problem and the agents don't know anything about their customers' account, it's as if they were somewhere answering the call without having access to any information from the account of the person who is calling.

Just a hot mess.. NO ONE in their customer service knows that they are doing. I had to call them on the same topic 5 times and everything time I got a run around, I was trying to add another owner to the account, they are not the best bank

WHAT IS ACTUALLY GOING WRONG WITH…

WHAT IS ACTUALLY GOING WRONG WITH TRADITIONAL BANKING.

NO IMPROVEMENT, NO INNOVATION, ZERO EMPATHY FOR CUSTOMERS, UNLIKE OTHER FINANCIAL ENTITIES.
MAJOR REASON WHY CRYPTO WILL SELL TILL TOMORROW.

BUT TO BE HONEST, BANKS HASN'T ACTUALLY KEPT UP WITH HOW FAST THE WORLD IS CHANGING WHICH IS MORE REASON I KEEP LOOKING FOR FINANCIAL ALTERNATIVES. RIGHT NOW CLOUD MINING PLATFORMS DOES IT BETTER WITH MORE FAST AND RELIABLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT SYSTEM.

WITH HOUSEMINING PLATFORM, YOU DONT NEED TO BE A TECH EXPERT AS THEY OFFER TOTAL HANDS OFF INVESTMENT CONTRACT WITH A MANAGER ATTACHED TO MY ACCOUNT.

MAKING AND MAINTAINING MONEY SHOULDN'T BE THIS HARD AS BANKS MAKE IT

What happened to this bank that used to value clients?

I have banked at US Bank for over 30 years and always thought they were exceptional. NO MORE.
1st, they need to join the times. They don't allow uploading of documents or emailing only can fax or put in snail mail. Serious, who faxes anymore.
2nd, my one account I didn't use a lot. Maybe 4 or 5 transactions a year but I left at lease $1K in the account. They told me if I didn't have more activity they would have to close the account. No problem, closed and lost a long time client.

U.S Bank is the worst!!!

U.S. Bank is by far the WORST bank I’ve dealt with! The branch in Anderson, Ca. Is a jok! Theres never more than two tellers and one of them is always this old lady who is slower than a snail! Never do these employee even look up to acknowledge u once ur inside the bank. People r constantly walking out from waiting in line for typically a good 20 plus minutes. They’ve frozen my account and won’t tell me why only Lee telling me it’s gonna be another 48 hrs then check back. I have absolutely no reason to have my account frozen, i dont do shady shit, and have had no money for a week now snd still no answers as to when im gonna get MY MONEY! I don’t know how this sh*t hole is even still in business. One of the tellers was on hold for over an hour with their own company trying to get me an answer why thy froze my account and only once did she look up and say sorry for the long wait other than that nothing. I just stood there for over an hour wondering what’s going on. My question to her was how could u work for a company who thinks it’s acceptable to keep anyone on hold over an hour let alone their own employee?? This bank is garbage!

This is the worst. Absolute garbage.

This is the worst. I have a business account and EVERY. SINGLE. TRANSACTION. gets fumbled. I have to spend countless hours on the phone with reps trying to fix everything. Almost always they say ill see the transfer, or whatever were doing, in 2 days. Thats their standard of just trying to get you off the phone. One example, i opened a CD for 100K and the money just disappeared. My accountant just about did a back flip. Took them weeks to figure out what happened and transfer the money back. Right now, im trying to make a large transfer and for 2 weeks im told, "it will go through in 2 days." They right now have about 165k locked in an account that i cannot access. I am so done with this. Negative 1000 stars.
