pray.com Reviews

The pray.com has changed my life. I have so much more knowledge, wisdom and insight into myself and my relationship with God as a result of listening to the teachings on this platform.
I love listening to Bible in a year, Heroes in the Bible and the Chosen people. As well as the other ministers and teachings.
They have such a diverse group of ministers, including Jewish rabbis, to Catholic priests and everything in between, it truly is a One-Stop shop for all.
I've only ever used the free version, however there is so much content and information that I received from the free version that I do not have any complaints. The app has helped me in my Bible studies, the narratives and enactments (ex. The story of David) are so captivating and hold my attention. The messages have been profound and I am so grateful for this app. I noticed a most of the reviews have been negative. That has not been my experience and I honestly don't understand this, I double checked and went on the website link to make sure I was reading the correct app. (I should say here I have absolutely NO affiliation with the pray.com company or any invested interests in sharing my experience other than I'm just a very very satisfied and happy listener). I noticed one lady spoke about that she didn't like that some ministers seem to support Donald Trump. I appreciate how this platform promotes respectful free speech I'm Canadian, and I've never heard anything offensive, if you don't like what one minister is saying you can always click to the next minister and you will get something completely different. Or you can only listen to messages from one specific minister. I think if they were to censor and only put forth one ideology or belief it would be tragic. I have a genuine wish and hope that us as people could transcend politics and differences and focus on God's message at hand. pray.com app even have interactive children's bible stories, which are amazing.

Here's a brief list of pros and cons
PROs:
1. The free version has Lots of content, and different podcasts, ministers and stories to listen to.
2. The stories are captivating, engaging.
3. I really appreciate the layout of their messages, introductions story and post discussion. I find this layout very helpful.
4. Some stories are 5 minutes long others are an hour, you get to choose what you want to listen to.
5. Very informative.
6. I do not receive a lot of emails, or any spam. They do not take or need any of my credit card information for me to have the free version.
7. Very well organized and laid out, you can search by minister or message.
8. Very diverse content, however all Christians entered- they have Bible stories and content for children, adult (from everdawn nomination, including Jewish) and they have a live sections with great music and visual narratives.

Con's:
1. There are ads on the free version, sometimes lasting as long as a minute or two. I just fast forward through them. So for me this isn't a big deal. I appreciate so much that they have a free version and so much content that I do not mind the ads. However I can see how for some people this would be frustrating.
2. The ads change based upon your current location, which means the app does have access to your location information. (I'm pretty sure every single app we use these days does, so if you have given permission to other apps this is no different).
3. I think the paid version is very expensive. I understand they have to make money to keep their platform going.
4. I do believe they require personal information such as your email address, phone number etc. I've had the app for years, and have never had any security problems.

This app is unlike anything else I’ve ever tried. This app takes prayer and worship to the next level.
There are so many options to go with.
My favorites are ( and I have a lot ) Sleep Psalms with Bishop TD Jakes & Grace. I love love love Grace. I love them both, I would follow them anywhere. I follow Pastor Jack Graham, so I do my morning prayers with him which then takes me to his Bible In A Year Podcast. There’s Dr. Tony Evans who does Heroes In The Bible podcast. He did a sermon on the benefits of fasting that I listened to. I did a 3 day fast myself after and it was a spiritually rewarding experience for me. I still carry the benefits with me.
I listen to Yael Eckstein from The Chosen Ones Podcast. I could go on and on and on.
They give you the option of going ad free which I have tried. I did have confusion over canceling this through my credit card but trust that they are working on this. This app is for all Christian people. Try it just as it is, commercials and all, see for yourself. Search around on the app, you’ll be amazed all the rich content, beautiful graphics, rich production. This app was made with the highest forms of love and worship, I encourage everyone to check it out. I’m so very grateful and glad I have it. Five stars definitely

Stop giving me email 📧 messages
It's too much

I am fed up with being charged multiple times for 1 order. It’s happened every month for the last few months and it is causing me to be overdrawn. If it happens again I’m withdrawing my custom. You need to sort your systems out. I keep complaining on here and every month it happens again. It doesn’t matter if I order direct or via NHS the same thing happens.

I am no longer sure about this app. They have a lot of Evangelicals and White Nationalists Pastors. Who are down with Donald Trump? It makes me question it. How do you have People who are supposed to be so-called Christians? Standing for hate and White Supremacy.

Used to love this app, especially the Sleep Psalms, they sold out and their programming is overrun with commercials, horrible now :(

I listened to Matt talking this morning and he said the they were not going to make any charges you could just register and this was not true. I was asked to pay £14.99 per month after the first 7-day trial and when I confirmed my email address, immediately without my asking a prayer came over my loudspeaker and I realised it was basically a push scam and deleted my app immediately. I also don't want to hear unrelated advertisements. Since when did Jesus charge for his work I agree that things cost money but a donation model based on our satisfaction would be the Christian way to go for me. Brian

The questionable commercials should be a tell about the programming quality. It appears to be run by a money-making machine with the end goal to make more and more. You can read the Bible for free, and do not need a for-hire so-called pastor to sell it to you.

At first, I was very excited about the content. It seemed like many people were contributing that have congruency in their heart, know themselves, and their purpose to serve others, or take up their cross, in biblical terms. A life of service.

This may still be the case, especially with the gentleman who does the morning prayer, authentic and pure of mind. He is very skilled at articulating daily practices of the wisdom in biblical scripture.

Unfortunately, what’s most important, for the powers that be, is monetary value. I don’t believe they have been attacked with malware, all the ads, but I haven’t the time or need to determine that. So many ads and content disconnected from purpose, you won’t be able to focus on the gift of the messages.

We live in a world where even an app in the name of the almighty is manipulation for profitability. The almighty serves us every day. That sun never forgets to rise. Yet, do we serve him, wisely, for goodness sake alone? Or are we a swarm of locusts trying to devour all the grass in sight for temporary fulfillment? We can’t take anything with us.

Don’t get me wrong, the problem may not be those in charge of the app, design and building, it might be the difficulty of the world around them. They haven’t the strength to overcome these challenges, as the trials they encounter have better ways, they may not see their own potential and ability to respond in a better way.

I intently chose the review platform with the most domain authority to elicit an appropriate response. I know it will. Depending on the exchange, I will continue to leave my review in as many platforms online as I can find, to affect this, seemingly, self-serving reputation.

Lastly, if you are still reading this, greatness is within us all. We are all inherently connected by our humanity. When we serve one another, in place of ourselves, we discover all the best ways to serve the people of our present and consequently, those closest to us. Jesus said “Greater things than these shall you do” and we all have been blessed with that infinite potential, in a complex infinite mindset. The same potential that put all these mobile devices in our hands, so that everyone has access to connection. His heart through our hands. When we are wise our greatest source of happiness is the good we do.

How can you allow a psychic advertisement on this platform???? It is written " Do Not seek the future teller "!!!!!!?!!!!?

Researching this app, showed terrible security issues. Immediately, the app requires a phone number, name and access to other private information. Truly sad they make you share private information and use it to cross track. There are so many people who should have access to something like this, without the fear of being hacked or having your information shared to advertisers.

If you are a believer in the Bible please be careful with pray.com. The authors seem to take a very liberal view of scripture and we have found many poorly interrupted articles.

The news is a small step above NPR but not much better. Left leaning and tends to criticize Conservatives by calling them extreme, etc... yet never criticizing Democrats--Unfortunate. There are better real Christian apps available ---Canceled my subscription

I suffer from extreme anxiety and major depressive disorder so that makes me an insomniac. Oh the joy lol. I found this awesome free app, Pray. Com that I could listen to at night and help me go to sleep. I live on disability for my “disease” so I basically have no money. Not complaining, I’m grateful. Anyway they randomly charged me $7.99 through Apple which I have my debit card on file with. Then I’m trying to find a customer service to demand a refund and can find no one to contact! Does anyone know how to get in touch with someone? I can’t afford this.

The pray.com is a good and well made app BUT…
I have a subscription but I am not able to get full access to all the content on the app. They have no customer service…. I ended up canceling the subscription…
I am disappointed ☹️

Pray.com was a great app to meditate in the mornings and evening before bed.
After listening to MARKETING OF DRUGS FOR ANTIDEPRESSANTS I’m extremely disappointed. The current administration has weaponized mental health for $$$$. Psychiatrist have pushed drugs on children in this country and alarming rates. I want peace, joy, and to meditate on scripture not hear marketing of a political agenda. Shame on you.

I used to Love this APP until they started with 3 + commercials during the bible of the year which completely defeats the purpose of 1-2-1 with God!!! They commercialized a very good thing and i am no longer paying for the annual renewal and coming back 🥲

Thankfully I never bought anything from this app.

The morning prayers are ok.

The night prayers sound like a spooky woman.

Not my favorite turn to.

Read the bible, access better known speakers of the truth in the name of Jesus.

God bless.

What are false doctrines/teachers such the prosperity gospel & Joel Osteen doing here?

Horrible- Nothing Christian about this company, don't waste your money. I paid for the year for everything, they changed it five months in and now want me to pay for a premium subscription and that they took away from me. When you read their terms of service they say they can do this at any time. Again, don't waste your money.
