I passed both challenge phases with OANDA Prop and was given a live account. On December 16, 2025, I successfully made my first withdrawal, confirming that my trading was accepted.

Only three days later, all my trades were force-closed and my account was terminated. The reason given was that my “trading strategy was not suitable for the Signal Provider program.” This explanation is vague and subjective.

I followed the 5% risk management rule at all times and did not violate any published trading limits. Despite this, my account was closed without a clear or specific violation.

On top of that, my $1,324.16 profit from those three days was not paid.

This experience shows a lack of transparency and fairness. Traders deserve clear rules and consistent treatment, especially after passing challenges and trading live. I hope OANDA Prop can improve transparency in their evaluation criteria and provide fairer treatment for traders who follow the stated rules.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding the email I received today notifying me that I can no longer trade on your platform. My frustration does not stem from my trading performance, but rather from the lack of transparency in your actions, which has severely impacted my trading experience and professional standing with your firm.

I have been trading using my personal strategy for 3 to 4 years. My approach is highly disciplined and conservative: I only risk 0.6% of the account balance per trade, and I typically only find 1 or 2 entry setups every week or two. I have already proven the stability and success of this system by successfully passing OANDA's two-phase evaluation over the past three months using this exact method.

However, today—on the very day I was scheduled to withdraw my profits—I received a notice that my account has been locked. This timing is highly suspicious and leads me to question the integrity of your firm. If a trader passes your rigorous evaluations fairly and then has their account closed the moment they become profitable, it suggests a lack of professional honesty.

I am requesting a clear, detailed explanation for this decision. I expect a firm of your reputation to maintain high standards of credibility to attract and retain talented traders.

I look forward to your prompt and transparent response regarding the status of my account and my earned profits.

The Oanda fund is a scam. The payout wasn't approved on the due date, and they didn't refund the exam fee.

helllo. OANDA prop trader agents i need to chat with your how can i connect. i want to ask about payout methods. Can i withdraw money to visa card in funded account?

Warning scammers. OANDA banned my account said that I against their Annex B: Forbidden Trading Practices, they offer to refund my challenge fees, as the email the state down will refund within a week, after a month I still haven't receive any refund. I am sharing this so other traders are aware of the risks involved. This is a factual account of my experience.

Confusing onboarding regarding Static vs Trailing Drawdown
I believe OANDA Prop has a solid trading environment, however my experience with the onboarding and rule clarity was disappointing.

I purchased what was advertised as a new program with Static Drawdown from Phase 1, expecting a fixed equity drawdown level. Unfortunately, after trading, my account was evaluated using a Trailing Drawdown (Equity) rule instead, where the drawdown level moved upward as equity increased.

This difference is critical for traders, yet it was not made clear enough during the purchase or onboarding process. As a result, my account was breached under rules that did not match my understanding of the product I selected.

I strongly suggest OANDA Prop improve their onboarding by clearly and explicitly explaining whether an account uses Static or Trailing Drawdown, with simple examples and a confirmation step before checkout. This would help prevent misunderstandings and improve trader confidence.

I hope this feedback helps improve transparency for future traders.

Warning about OANDA fund scamming users. They have unfairly banned my account without providing any concrete evidence. Meanwhile, they are still inviting me to purchase a new challenge. This is a company with extremely poor quality and unprofessional practices.

Tôi mua thử thách vào ngày 18/11/2025 đã vượt qua thử thách 2 bước vào ngày 1/12/2025 và đã gửi hồ sơ để kyc sau 2 tuần họ không cấp tk live và bảo có sự xâm nhập tài khoản. Tôi không vi phạm gì và có liên hệ qua what up họ bảo sẽ cấp tài khoản sau 1-3 ngày nhưng mãi đến 17/12 thì họ khóa tài khoản và gửi mail cho tôi là bạn bị vi phạm nghiêm trọng trong khi tôi đang chờ họ kyc và cấp tài khoản live. Thật vô trách nhiệm khi thông báo vậy, quỹ này lừa đảo mọi người nên tránh xa nhé!

My trading account was stable, and I did not violate any stated rules. However, OANDA terminated my account under Clause 7.2, which grants the company sole discretion to determine whether any transaction, practice, strategy, or situation constitutes “Prohibited Trading Conduct.”

This clause is highly unreasonable, as it allows accounts to be banned arbitrarily without transparent justification. I strongly recommend avoiding this platform and choosing more reputable brokers instead.

I am very disappointed with my experience with Onada. My funded account was suddenly banned right before the payout date, and the team provided no clear explanation of which specific trade violated their rules. When I requested clarification, they only sent generic statements without identifying which order, what rule, or which clause in their Terms & Conditions I had supposedly breached.
If there is a rule about “risk” or certain trading behaviors, it should be clearly shown and transparently communicated. Instead, Onada took action at the worst possible moment, offering no proper evidence or breakdown of the alleged violation. This raises serious concerns about fairness and the reliability of their evaluation process.
Traders deserve transparency, especially when real payouts are involved. Without clear rule enforcement and proper justification, it is hard to trust the credibility of this firm.

My account was terminated following by a ban from their program without any clear evidence and explanation like other prop firms. I did not violated any rules and I have maintained the same trading strategy. Their email response and the payout processing time is super slow during the last 2 months. It seems that they are struggling with their cash flow model when they easier the profit targets, offering huge discounts but constantly delaying payouts. It look very similar to what had happened with MFF and TFT before the revealing they are scamming customers! Be aware of this firm when making your purchases because they don't seem to respect the long history of OANDA's brand in forex industry.

My first time with Oanda prop firm and the profit target is lower than other firm and I enjoy that.

Hopefully, the support can be quicker sometimes and overall I'm enjoying my journey with them

This is the second time OANDA has demonstrated a clear inconsistency and lack of commitment to its traders in Vietnam, and this time, the policy change seems designed to eliminate profitable traders under vague pretexts.
​The Problem: Policy Changes Lead to Arbitrary Termination
​I was recently terminated from the OANDA Prop Trader Challenge, and the reason provided was a vague statement about my "trading strategy and execution patterns" not being "aligned with criteria essential for participation," of the Terms and Conditions.
​The reality is that this termination follows a recent, unannounced shift in operational standards—standards that only seem to surface once a trader has proven successful.
​Vague Termination Clause: The firm hides behind a "confidential" internal risk assessment model, making their decision final and non-appealable. This is a red flag. It creates an environment where they can arbitrarily terminate any account they deem too profitable, simply by invoking a secret, proprietary rule.
​Targeting Profitability: It is highly suspicious that my termination came after consistently achieving positive returns, right when the firm has been introducing new, restrictive rules (like the Daily Maximum Profit Limit/Consistency Rule changes mentioned in other communications). This feels like a strategic suspension of services to traders in Vietnam who demonstrate high-level skill, making it impossible to transition to a funded account.
​The Second Limitation: This is not the first time OANDA has limited its services to traders in Vietnam. This pattern of on-again, off-again service and sudden policy shifts demonstrates a profound instability and disrespect for the trading community here.
​The "Refund" is Not Enough
​While they offer a "full refund" of the Challenge Fee, this does not compensate for the time, effort, and successful trading history that was instantly invalidated. The goal of a prop firm challenge is to get funded, not to get a fee refund after being profitable. This termination acts as a huge roadblock to legitimate traders who pass the evaluation only to be blocked from the Signal Provider (funded) stage.
​Final Verdict
​Traders in Vietnam should be extremely cautious. OANDA's practice of changing "essential criteria" without clear warning, and using non-specific risk assessment to terminate profitable accounts, suggests a fundamental flaw in their commitment to their local user base. If you are a profitable Vietnamese trader, you risk having your hard-earned progress wiped out under the guise of an "operational update" and being permanently banned.
