Purdie Worldwide Removals & Storage Ltd Reviews 

We had removers booked for 8am. We were told that they would leave the depot at 8am so should have been with us by 8.20am at the latest. At 9am we had no removers and no phone call so I phoned the office to be told firstly that they should probably be on their way, then that there had been "a few accidents" and that they were running late. When I queried how late there was no specific time given - I was told that they ie the removers would call me when they were on their way. This was particularly unhelpful as I had an appointment booked to pick up my new keys and then didn't know whether I should go to that appointment or not. I was also told that "someone should have phoned" me - that would have been fantastic but sadly no-one did phone me. That includes the removers themselves who were meant to call me to say that they were on their way but in fact did not and just turned up at the house, at about 12.30pm so over 4 hours late.
When they did arrive there were several items of furniture which they then refused to move which also caused some disruption. I can only classify the remover men themselves as surly and unhelpful.
All in all a very disappointing experience. I chose Purdies because you have an excellent reputation locally which led me to ignore the cheaper quotes I received from other removers. I also note that the quotation that I have received for storage has the estimated number of containers in such small writing that it is very hard to see, leading me to miscalculate the cost of storage. I will be moving my items to cheaper accommodation elsewhere as soon as possible. I would not be tempted to use your services again.

Matt Purdie has had our furniture in storage for almost 8 years. We have been abroad and have now bought a place here. So finally got everything out of storage. Was a bit worried if everything would be ok, no need to worry, it was in such good condition it was as if it had been packed up the day before. Highly recommend Matt Purdie for all your storage needs. If we need storage again, we will certainly comes to Matt Purdie again.

I gave this review 5stars because the two men who came to uplift my furniture were polite and nothing was any bother to them. Furniture was covered with plastic sheets and handled with care.

The removers turned up on time and were helpful and respectful given the stressful situation of moving house after 38 years in one house. There were no problems and the outline plan was adhered to. Delivery was just as smooth without any hitches.

Thank you for a wonderful service so far. Daniel and Gary were fantastic, not only with filling our storage, but great with advice, they put everything into storage, they worked like trojans, that was on a Tuesday the following Thursday week they came to move us into our temporary home, again putting our goods in without a bother. At the beginning I said so far, but that’s only because in a few months time we move into our new home and I know they will be just as great. Thank you Purdie, but most of thank you to your wonderful team.

After making the massive decision to move house, we then had to choose which removal firm to move our contents to our new home. Fortunately, we remembered seeing Purdie Worldwide Removals near our new house.
After contacting them, having a zoom type call to ascertain the quantity of belongings being moved, Purdie took care of everything.
On the day, two gents in two vehicles turned up on the allocated time and proceeded to empty our house into their vehicles.
After the last box was removed from our old house, I was given a phone number of one of the removers and said they would see us at the new property at a predetermined time.
At the new property at the time arranged, the guys were there waiting. They promptly proceeded to place all our belongings into the rooms where they belonged.
They were careful with everything and in what felt like no time at all, they were done.
It was a painless and faultless process and I couldn't have asked for a better service.

We found Purdie’s very professional from the quotation process through to our move. Everyone was really helpful. We had one man packing our fragile items and he did a great job. On the day, the men were quick and everything went smoothly. It was a long distance move so it was the next day before our things were delivered. They came earlier than expected and the job was done within a couple of hours. Purdie’s are a bit more expensive than many of their competitors but it was worth it to have such a good experience.

My carpets had dirt on them in my new house - nothing out down to protect them. Left my mattress topper on the bedroom floor of my old house. Also felt that the move could be been done a lot quicker. The guys were polite but did seem to waste a lot of time

Would have given 5 stars as the men in the removal team were outstanding BUT the management neither acknowledged nor responded to a query we emailed to them twice! Great pity, as the staff doing the physical work were entirely reliable & professional …

I can honestly say that we couldn’t be happier with the service we received from the boys on moving day, the move went so smoothly from them arriving spot on time then the care they took loading our belongings and on arriving at our new home everything was put in the correct place just as we wanted, Would be happy to recommend Purdies very professional service from first contact to our eventual move ..simply well done

Superb service. A team of 3 helped us out and were very organised, polite and helpful. They knew exactly what they were doing and lifted everything expertly, even large items around tight corners, without any diffifulty. They were super fast too. Perfect.

Great service from Purdie’s. Our belongings were carefully packed, loaded and delivered to our new home. Cheerful, hard working individuals who worked well as a team. Would recommend highly.

Excellent service. Had to change dates, amount of stuff, addresses of the move but all changes were handled in a professional and friendly manner. Moving went very smoothly and nothing was made to feel a bother. Highly recommend.
