AOS Trading’s Pattern of Delays and Broken Promises – Buyers Should Be Extremely Cautious
I am leaving this review on Rattan Hut because it is operated by AOS Trading Ltd, the same company behind Hygge Pergolas (Trustpilot will not allow me to post another review on the Hygge page). I have been experiencing serious and ongoing issues with Hygge that mirror the experiences of many Rattan Hut customers, and even similar complaints reported by customers of Wetherby Furnishings. The behaviour I have encountered is highly relevant to anyone considering buying from any AOS Trading brand.
I have now been waiting over four months for a basic but vital connection kit that should have been supplied with my Hygge pergolas in November and without which I cannot erect the pergolas. Delivery dates have slipped repeatedly — first to mid‑December, then mid‑January, then the end of January, and now mid‑March — and each new delay has only been revealed when I chased. At no point was I proactively informed.
I was also promised a management call, yet no one has contacted me (no surprise there). This mirrors what many customers report across AOS Trading’s brands: repeated assurances, but no follow‑through, and no accountability from management, who appear to hide behind call‑centre staff.
When you read the large number of 1‑star reviews for both Hygge Pergolas and Rattan Hut (and similar complaints reported by customers of Wetherby Furnishings), the same issues appear again and again:
• Items advertised as “in stock” that are not
• Customers waiting months for missing components
• Promised delivery dates that keep moving
• Refunds delayed or avoided
• No access to management
• Customers forced to involve their bank or Trading Standards
Taken together, this behaviour resembles what customers often see in badly run businesses experiencing cashflow problems (the accounts for AOS Trading are available on Companies House and I urge prospective customers to look at these before parting with any money), where new orders appear to be prioritised while existing customers wait indefinitely for goods or refunds. I am not stating this as fact — only that the pattern is consistent with that kind of operational model.
What concerns me most is that AOS Trading appears to continue to sell products requiring components that, based on my experience, are not actually in stock — and customers are not told this before paying.
Given the seriousness of these issues and the volume of similar complaints, I am now considering raising this further with Trading Standards and the Advertising Standards Authority so that my experience forms part of the wider picture.
Buyers should be extremely cautious and ask very direct questions about stock availability before placing an order with any AOS Trading brand.

The service department were lacking information with regards to their delivery of ordered furniture. Furniture Oder was placed in March 2025 ahead of the anticipated Summer. Despite many concerns about a delivery date the staff were apologetic and were unable to provide any details of the delivery date, subsequently our delivery took place in the September 2025. We were compensated £50 credited to my card for the inconvenience. Once the furniture finally arrived it was well packed and in excellent condition. Unfortunately by the time it did arrive the inclement weather wasn’t far behind, therefore we were unable to really get a summer use out of the furniture. Looking forward to using it in 2026.

I have been waiting since April 2025 for my full order to be received. It is now December 2025. Despite regular emails chasing and replies thanking me for my patience and advising a delivery date will be provided, still I wait. My patience has expired. I do not recommend this company if you do not have patience. The initial delivery took far longer than you would expect, to complete said order is now beyond a joke.

Fantastic customer service, I ordered my beautiful garden furniture when my house was being built and asked that it be delivered when I thought it would be ready, which turned out to be a lot longer than I anticipated due to the house not being ready in time, so they stored my order at no extra cost for another 12 months, by which time they had an offer on for a free egg chair with the Cheltenham set, I rang them and they included the egg chair with my delivery. Beautiful, well made furniture with extremely thick comfortable cushions. Would highly recommend.

This is a scam company.
They make promises and don’t deliver.

Ordered the Cheltenham garden set in August which included a free egg chair and covers, I had a discount code which allowed me to use it but after 10 weeks the garden set finally arrived but with no egg chair or covers. When I contacted them they told me because I used a code it knocked the free items off. This never told me at the time. Eventually after some negotiations I paid a slightly lower price for the chair and covers but with a extremely high delivery fee but just had to except the fact as we really wanted the chair but we are now in the middle of November and after numerous emails and calls still not took delivery of the chair.
They don't answer the phone and takes weeks to respond to an email.
Please stay away from this company as the service is very very poor.

We ordered our furniture in may, told it would take 10 wks which took us into August had heard nothing ,so had yo contact them. Since then we have received our furniture, but we were missing an egg chair & all the covers for fire pit, egg chair & also covers for our 6 seater.
So about 7 wks later after a lot of emails & phone calls we finally received our egg chair yet again still no cover. We finally got covers sent for fire pit & egg chair middle october.
We have been on phone constantly about covers for our 6 seater. Absolutely disgusted at the way we have been treated, this has went on since August.

Appalling customer service. Ordered Cheltenham eight seater had it short period of time and faded. Contacted Rattan hut to be told will receive replacement which I am still waiting on nearly five months.

Delivered on time, easy to assemble, cushions a but hard but may soften in time. Overall very happy

Don’t go anywhere near this firm, after sales is shocking.
I had two issues with the furniture I purchased firstly a scuff on the fire pit top and they supplied some spray paint to resolve the issue, secondly the fire pit ignition system does not work. I have had the furniture for four months now and the issues are still not resolved and believe they never will be.

Bad customer service. Bad products. Two and a half years down the line. Our issues with Rattan Hut started the day we were first meant to receive our sofas, they did not come and we received no communication about it. I had to call and chase and they were then delayed by another few weeks. They eventually came without the covers, it took over a year to get them. Now, 2.5 years later, we have furniture which has discoloured, has weather damage and looks awful. The covers do not work, our table is totally ruined because the cover didn’t keep water out, there is rust on the metal bits and the paint is peeling. We wish we’d never bought this furniture and never dealt with Rattan Hut. Do NOT use them, even if you ignore the service, the product issues are undeniable.

Quality product, easily assembled and looks great. Good customer service, always returned my calls to answer any questions.

made an order that was meant to inlcude a free egg chair , that never came and spent the last few months chasing it and being told will come soon .

Still not got it but got told now that cos i used a promotional discount for an offer that was on , the free item is not included . Did not mention this anywhere at all when ordering

Worst thing was them keep saying it was gonna come and have me expecting it , then after months saying it was never gonna come

Lovely garden furniture, good quality and comfortable. Would highly recommend

The Cheltenham set is well made and good quality and was easy enough to assemble. It took a couple fo months to arrive, but we were aware that it would take time.

Anytime I called for an update the staff were very helpful
