I've been a patient at Rawlings Opticians since i moved to Croydon in 1994. All the staff have always been friendly and very knowledgeable and they care about their clients . Throughout my years with them with a few prescription changes on the way,they've helped me choose suitable replacement glasses very successfully. One year i chose a pale green armed rimless pair for just normal lenses,which were put aside once I'd changed too Lindberg transition frame less glasses. then about 2 years ago i had my old green frames update with my new prescription with transition lenses which include a multicoloured shimmer coating on them. lovely! i accidently dropped them and the screw holding the right lenses fell out. .gone. . i thought that would be the end of them due to their age and parts no longer being readily available .. but no . . my glasses went from my Croydon branch to a brilliant technician at their Purley branch who said he would take a look at them for me.
last Wednesday i received a call to say they had them back at Croydon and they were ready for collection. WOW i couldn't believe they had done what i thought was impossible. the nurses i work with ask me why i go to rawlings and not Spec savers etc . . my answer. . Rawlings have looked after me/my eyes for 20+years and have always been there when I've needed help with eye problems ,scratched lenses,missing bits from frames etc and have always dealt with the problems in a friendly professional manner. I would recommend them to anyone in need of eye care. . even my ex in-laws go there!

Great personal service. Plenty of time allocated for the appointment so I didn’t feel rushed and Helen really listened carefully to my concerns and suggested a further eye test.

My experience at Stockbridge has been very good. I havnt been kept waiting and l have been treated with understanding and professionalism. I have repeatedly broken my glasses and they have been patient and kind.
My optician who retired last year had looked after me for many years and l was anxious about a change.
My new optician was kind, understanding and very open to discuss my treatments.

Ryan checked my hearing. He updated my hearing aids with the latest firmware and checked my hearing. This allowed him to make the necessary adjustments as my hearing had changed slightly. He also made tweaks to cater for various noises that I found irritating, and added an extra programme that help in a quite environment.

Ryan always does a very through job and I was very pleased with the review.

Booking was simple and the appointment started promptly and with friendly staff from the reception and the practitioner undertaking the appointment. It could not have been any better thanks.

had to undertake a number of eye tests. the service was fast, efficient and above all the next steps were made very clear. A great service and proved their 'membership plan' was the right decision two years ago.

I have been with them for over 40 years starting in Caterham and then moved to Purley. The staff are on very professional service and assist. They have always explained everything and answered the questions that I have asked! They are very willing to explain the issues and problems without any difficulty. They are very patiently with my choices for glasses at some time. I am so happy to continue with them for life!

I saw Simon, who was very professional and explained everything that he was testing and afterwards compared my scans from beforehand to the present ones.

When choosing my daughters glasses a fitting them all staff members were very supportive and friendly .

There was an appointment in just a short while. The optometrist was clearly very good. She found that I had cataracts and referred me to a place of my choosing. There was no pressure to spend money on new glasses.

Small local branch with personal service and time for your eye examinations and getting the glasses right. I recommend the branch unequivocally.
