Recoheat Ltd Reviews 

It's a little optimistic to think it can heat a whole house, but my open concept living room can now get to 20 degrees at the area 4 metres from the stove, which was impossible before. However my kitchen area, 10 metres from stove remains at 13 degrees (old French stone house with poor quality insulation!). We did have to install the Recoheat unit 4 inches up from the top of stove as the collar pipe couldn't be removed, so it might be reducing the heat output a little. Overall I'd still say that every wood stove should be fitted with one of these units.

I write this review following 2yrs ownership.
I self installed. Its within the capability of a competent DIY/handyman,or get in a fitter.
Installation took approximately 4hrs in a standard 3 bed house with a 5kw multi fuel stove burning seasoned (under 20%moisure) wood and smokeless coal.

I was in the poor habit of slumbering fires and experienced a slight degradation on draw after approximately 4 months,which meant more sweeping. A quick chat with Recoheat resolved this....have a stronger burn in the morning to clean any deposits. This was user error. I now again sweep annually.

The change in temperature is clearly noticeable throughout the house,but particularly downstairs. I monitored all room temperatures & experienced a 5°c raise on average. The speed in warming a cold house is greatly improved from a conventional multifuel stove with previously 2 fans on the surface.
My current wife now cavorts around the house freely in her undergarments,although this has caused a few problems,especially when receiving unanounced visitors;particularly watch tower wielding mormons..but that's a different story.
The pump is a little noisy, but certainly not offensive and as others have suggested..warm the house up first thing and then turn it off. I have not situated the pump outside,but this would solve the issue if you felt the need.
I cannot comment on fuel cost saving V payback,as I harvest my own wood,but we now use far less wood and coal,as temperature is reached more quickly and so I reduce air intake resulting in less fuel and resultant ash.

Would I buy again?
Yes..its a good product designed to fulfill its purpose.

I installed my recoheat just before Christmas. We are self building a five bedroom house and are now living in the property which is a long way from being airtight at the minute. An old 7kW Firefox stove and the recoheat is the only form of heating that we currently have. The recoheat is tremendous. We are burning less wood and getting more heat. The added bonus is that the injected hot air has helped to bring our relative humidity down from mid 80% to a much more acceptable mid 50%.

There is some noise from the sound of the hot air being injected into the room but this is not noticeable when the tv is on. The pump is very noisy but we have this in the attached garage so it isn’t heard in the house.

Brilliant concept which translates to a brilliant real world solution to getting more heat from your burner.

Difficult to give a review of something that has never arrived!

Just bought my second Recoheat! I was so pleased with the first one that we fitted a second wood burner and ordered another Recoheat. As before, the ordering was easy, delivery prompt, and customer service excellent. Very happy with the product which is again well made and incredibly effective - using Recoheat has significantly reduced my monthly outgoings and easily payed for itself in a couple of months.

The exhaust pipe into the same room as the wood stove is great, I’m using about half the fuel compared to what I used prior to fitting it.

That may change this week now we have sub zero temps.

What would be great is to have the exhaust pipe on the back next to the intake pipe, I could then run a copper pipe to the next room and have heat blow into that room, obviously I’d require something to direct the air flow and ensure people can’t touch it and burn themselves.

Then having an option to split the exhaust into 2 out feeds I could send a pipe the other way and warm the kitchen.

I believe this would warm all areas of my downstairs with half the fuel consumption I used last year.

This is due to me using fans to push heat out of the living room into the dining room and kitchen.

If this is something you design and build, I will be more than happy to pull my stove out and test it, I don’t expect a freebie I’ll pay for it.

Heats up the house quickly( 3 bed bungalow). Using less fuel.

It arrived quickly, was easy to fit and it made a significant increase in room temperature. I already recommended it to my sister.

The Recoheat is a beautifully made piece of kit that really enables you to draw more heat out of your wood burning stove. It's such a good idea - simple to fit into your existing flue, easy to set up the pump, and it really pumps out the hot air into the room. It certainly warms up our back room much more quickly than previously. Will was very nice to interact with and the system arrived within days of my order. I'm very pleased with it!

Supplier very helpful and product doing exactly what was hoped, noise only downside, but sure will soon just be another white noise.

Unit just fitted and immediately felt the difference in a large room with high ceilings. A must for your stove.

Very happy with the unit. Making use of heat that would otherwise be wasted, no brainer really! I looked at many alternatives on the market and recoheat was the best value as well! I am putting the pump in another room to minimise noise, this is something i would recommend when you are designing your set up.

I’m so lucky to have discovered Recoheat and it was only by a chance comment on YouTube while looking for a better stove fan because the stove was taking forever to heat the room.

Recoheat has been a game changer, using 50% less wood, heating the room in 75% faster it is a no brainer!

All stoves should have this installed, the only negative is the noise but it is such a small price to pay!

This thing realy rocks it does what it says on the tin I rang them i had few questions and I fitted it my self about 2 hours later and hay presto
I have 9 kw stove and it heats the hole house a ex council house 4 bedroom and I have always struggled to get heat in the far end when it's freezing out side but this realy pushes heat around the house you can hear it (more when its realy hot but thats when its doing its job )but you soon get used to it
Don't be scared off doing it Your self i was quoted 350 to fit it and it tuck me 2 hours done an dusted
It's been a excellent addition plus the saving on fule alone

Very responsive to questions with good advice and help.
Recoheat works extremely well and warms through the bungalow by leaving door open to lounge.
Positioning pump as far from lounge as possible will make the humming less intrusive.

This is the 2nd Recoheat unit I’ve purchased having fitted one previously to a stove in my main home. The new one is going into a smaller stove in the annexe which will be used as a holiday let. This will allow me to heat the space quickly for winter guests rather than having to wait for the fire to heat the stove, which can take some time before the benefit is felt. The unit in the main house has been going strong for close to 3 years now and is always on whenever the stove is lit. I love the instant heat it gives and it definitely cuts down on the amount of wood I use. I think a Recoheat unit should be an automatic purchase for anyone installing a stove, or to retrofit to a stove you already have, I can’t imagine having a stove without one now!

It is absolutely brilliant. It really double the hot air flow into the room. It's worth every penny. The only downside is the pump sound. It's not for everyonej
