I really enjoyed the Red Cross…
I really enjoyed the Red Cross training. It was informative, engaging and genuinely useful, with a great mix of practical and hands-on learning. The trainer was fantastic! She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and made the whole session really enjoyable. I left feeling much more confident and prepared. I would definitely recommend it!

I got lucky with a very small group of…
I got lucky with a very small group of 3 participants so we got to share our real work experiences and learn from others and the challenges each of us have in different work environments and how we cope with First Aid, Recording Incidents and Accidents and replenishing the first aid kit. We also had plenty of time to practice CPR for example as we were a small group.

Great course for home & work life
As someone who has a dislike to blood & broken bones the thought of attending a first aid course was a trauma to be honest.
On arrival I spoke to the instructor explaining my concerns, she was amazing really easy to talk to & understanding.
The course was full of practice & lots of humour which really helped.
I learnt a great deal on the day & was able to get really evolved all thanks to our wonderful instructor.
I would strongly recommend this course delivered by the Red Cross for home as well as work & if like me you don’t like like blood you’ll enjoy the day.

Good Content, not the best teacher
The trainer was very bossy and very cold on first meeting. Quite demeaning when someone gave an incorrect answer and almost found it funny. Very strict on break times and just wasn't warm or friendly. The content delivered was good and very precise, but you were almost scared to give a wrong answer in case of being belittled. She did this constantly with a few of the men in the class. She also kept getting words mixed up and blamed it on not having enough sleep! I wouldn't recommend the trainer to anyone even though the content was good and thorough.

The trainer was super knowledgeable and funny
The trainer was super knowledgeable. His manner was pretty brusk and dismissive but in a funny way! I learned more than I thought I would and now feel confident I would know what to do in a first aid situation.

Emergency First Aid at Work
I attended a day long Emergency First Aid at Work course and it was my first time doing any first aid training. Our instructor was excellent, she made the session very engaging with lots of Q&A and practical exercises. I definitely learnt a lot!
