Replacement lid
Bought a replacement lid for my Rega Planet turntable c1973. How sensible to ensure the latest turntable is exactly the same size as the first! Lid fits and hinges are the same. Still sounds good after 53 years and now looks perfect too.
Defective amplifier with no response from Rega
I've been a bit fan of Rega for many years, beginning with a P1 vinyl player, and I now have a P10.
However, I also have an Elicit mk5 amplifier, and it began exhibiting overheating problems which resulted in the thermal cut out engaging. This was apparently down to a bias problem so I returned it to Rega for repair. However, the exact same problem has occurred again.
I contacted the retailer i bought it from, and they have tried to contact the main Rega dealer in Belfast in order to have this repaired. The dealer won't respond and for over 6 months, I have been left with an amplifier which shuts down after less than an hour of it being powered on. I am disgusted with Rega and I am determined to now get rid of this amplifier.
I think that I'll also have to begin looking for an alternative vinyl deck to my P10. I have lost all faith in Rega and I would unfortunately have to advise any readers to take their business elsewhere. I'll be visiting Kronos AV in Northern Ireland to source alternative audio equipment .
Way overpriced gimmick
For £330 on a turntable I have no idea what the money goes into. I initially thought the money went into the needle but it turns out it's just worth £30 and is a rebranded audio technica.
Has absolutely no room for modification. Or upgrading cartridges. Which is funny considering you need to because the original is a heap of.
You have to manually change the RPM by switching the belt yourself.
All in all a total overpriced gimmick. You're paying for it to be ASSEMBLED in the UK. And that's it.
Don't understand what the hype is about.

No sound from input 2 Rega elex mk 3 input only 6 months all other inputs are ok. Service agent does not know what to do
Bought an elicit amp from Rega
Bought an elicit amp from Rega. First one had a faulty output relay and a loud transformer hum. Second one selects inputs 3 and 4 simultaneously! Both faults should have been caught three times over if they had a real quality system in place. They produce junk then send it out untested. Shame Shame Shame!
Rega quality excellent
I have a Rega turntable, cd player and Elicit R amp. They have all performed perfectly and produce fantastic audio quality through my Linn speakers. I previously had a Rega Elex r amp that developed a fault, 2 years after purchase, the dealer returned it to Rega for repair, it was returned as good as new in 3 weeks. Not only that I traded it in for the Elicit R and got 90% of my purchase price. This cannot be said for other audio products in this disposable world.
no one cares
Rega amps have digital input issues but they do not seem to care. No one even knows what will happen to those who purchased Rega MK4s and MK5s. It is a general issue rather than something isolated. Zero customer service - they do not talk to consumers.
Everybody is basically waiting to see what's going on and we are left in limbo with no communication. Do not buy Rega amps unless they sort this out, that's my advice.
British through and through
A truly British experience. Rega io amp — good British technology and perfectly acceptable for the money. Planar 1 — terrible hum. Typical British customer service: no response to enquiry (x2) about how to fix this. I managed to reduce the hum to an acceptable level by attaching an earth wire from a screw on the io casing to the mains. I don't expect everyone would know how to do this, and Rega certainly aren't going to tell them. Makes you proud!
Very disappointed....
Very disappointed....
I originally purchased my P1 Turntable from Amazon via Sevenoaks Sound & Vision and it worked well for a few months until it developed a wobbling platter. At first I thought I was the only person to experience this fault but after a little Googling, it transpires that I am not alone.
After checking the Rega website for an email address to contact them direct, it turns out that Rega do not address faults/complaints themselves and instead refer all buyers to the dealer that they purchased the equipment from. In reality there is actually no way at all to contact Rega!
Credit to Sevenoaks Sound & Vision - they were fast to respond to my email to them and asked for a video to be recorded of the fault which they then sent to Rega for their comments. After a new replacement platter was sent out (which turned out not to solve the fault) Rega informed them that the platter wobble was 'within Rega Tolerances' and didn't need attention!
I'm now left with a Rega P1 with a wobbling platter that I cannot use (and despite trying to sell it - no-one obviously wants to buy because of the Rega fault).
I've now admitted defeat and purchased an Audio Technica LP5X from Amazon and it works a treat compared to the Rega.
Make your own mind up but be very careful if you purchase anything from Rega - they're quick to promote and sell but simply aren't interested in customer satisfaction or aftercare - they won't even allow their customers to contact them when things go wrong!
Great music gear!
I had so many REGA products now that I decided to write a review.
The sound of their products is consistently good and very musical.
Build quality is excellent and some stuff is upgradable (turntables).
I had no experience with the customer service because you go through the dealer, but once I shortcircuited a Brio and it came back in a few days for a very reasonable fee.

Just replaced my 1989 P3 with a 2022 P3, see me out. I agree with some of the comments, rega should have a direct contact mail. As for the quality of their turntables I can’t fault them. The quality of the product is excellent and sounds really good linked to my Kef Reference 3. 33 years out of the last turntable, only bought a new one because I smashed the plinth drunk transporting from a hi fi evening with a friend, no spares in my part of the world, Middle East.
Superb Customer Service
Recently upgraded my turntable from P1 to P3.
This was a second user purchase of a setup that was less than 4 months old after checking out a few offers.
Rega were fantastic in supporting me in ascertaining the age and also in giving their thoughts and useful advice.
In past experience I had a faulty PSU with my P1 and that was replaced with no fuss or hassle.
Highly recommended and the products are of course legendary in their sound quality.
Excellent products and service
I’ve owned many Rega products and have only ever had one that developed a fault..I took it back to my main dealer and it was sent to Rega..fixed and returned to me within a couple of days...excellent service
I recently bought a NEO power supply…
I recently bought a NEO power supply for my P3. It was faulty and returned for repair. Away weeks and returned still faulty. Impossible to contact Rega, told the dealer I wanted a replacement, as I am entitled after one repair. Rega refused. Dealer refunded me and is now stuck with it. They are typical of small engineering businesses, no idea about customer service.
Buy at you own peril
Buy at you own peril
I ordered a part for my Rega For R3 standing speakers From A/Seduction. The part arrived and was different cosmetically asked A/Seduction and they said buy another to make them match > phoned Rega and and told the same Why dont you buy two if you want them to match asked who makes the part and they said they dont know and there was nothing that they were going to do Rega you have just lost a loyal customer and a Planner 6 or 8 sale Award winning design may be but Rubbish customer care 0
Brilliant Rega products
I have just purchased a Rega turntable and amplifier so much more superior to my technics and pioneer hifi
Fantastic products
Rega are one of the best British…
Rega are one of the best British manufacturers of hifi equipment, if I could afford it I'd buy more than just an amp and speakers. Turntable is next on the shopping list but unfortunately I won't be able to afford for a few years
Grumpy staff
No support on their web and no contact telephone support unless you search it out..they seem abrupt and moody when you phone them...I find this disheartening to say least as I’m investing in their product which they seem to take for granted!!!
Grumpy rega research team!!!

I bought an Aethos amplifier to replace my Elicit R which was great& while the sound & detail is good there is an annoying hum/buzz coming from the left hand channel which is there just with the amplifier connected to the speakers. It makes no difference if you connect a turntable/Linn Klimax or CD Player/Rega. Your can hear this hum/buzz breaking through in quiet passages when listening to any scource. My dealer offered me a replacement but it was just the same.Has anybody else had these problems.
