Very disappointing experience. I rented a car for one day and was promised that my refundable deposit 1000 would be returned within the agreed time, but I’m still waiting for 12 days after the deadline. I’ve been following up repeatedly, and each time I’m told it will be processed soon, yet nothing happens. This company does not honor its own refund policy and shows poor customer service. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Review: If I could give them ZERO in the review I will do.
This company is a complete fraud! They cheated me, took not one but two deposits, and refused to return them. On top of that, they double-charged me for Salik toll fees and even threatened to report me to court for payments I don’t owe.
They operate under these names:
- HMA Supervisor VIP Rent a car
- Houston Rent a car
- Moosa Rent a car
- Bab Al Madeena Rent a car
Note: Location in Jaddaf but no name for the company on the shop.
They also refused to repair the car on insurance (which is mandatory for a 2026 car), and instead tried to make me pay out of pocket. Even when there was a police report filed against an unknown person, they still tried to push the liability on me.
Very Rude staff and no respect for the customers.
Deposits are chased for months and months and imaginary fees are created with non sense.
This business is a scam operation – they trap customers with hidden charges, keep deposits, and use threats to extort more money.
⚠️ Avoid Houston & Mousa Rent a Car at all costs!
Everyone who has dealt with them should report this company to Ajman DED being the authorities responsible for their licensing , consumer rights, and even human rights offices to stop their fraudulent practices.
All Victims should unite and make a complain to the authorised bodies to stop them from such practices. We are in a country of Justice and other victims will suffer the same situation if we don’t act right away.

Totally disagree with this rent a car service, really irresponsible persons, no value of customers, no realibility, no promises, no full fill commitments. I had bad & worst experience with this Rent a cars, they deduct amount regarding for unnecessary things, over all I can say please don't commit with this type of rent a cars....

I had a very bad experience with Moosa Car Rental and I want to warn others before they fall into the same trap:
• Rude & Unprofessional Staff – They show zero respect towards customers.
• Deposit Scam – They refuse to return your security deposit, no matter how many times you follow up.
• Overcharging & Hidden Fees – They add unjustified extra charges after returning the car.
• Complaint Filed – Due to their fraudulent practices, I had to file an official complaint with Ajman DED.

This company cannot be trusted. There are many better and more transparent car rental services in the UAE. I strongly recommend avoiding Moosa Car Rental if you value your money, time, and peace of mind.

Be aware, stay safe, and don’t get trapped!

I rented a car from this company and returned it on 3rd August 2025. Their contract clearly states that the deposit will be refunded within 30 days, but as of 5th September 2025 I have still not received my money back.

When I raised this with them, they tried to add extra service charges and charged me for Salik trips that didn’t match the times the car was with me. I even shared proof (screenshots and timings), but instead of resolving, their team became defensive and unprofessional in their responses.

It’s very disappointing to deal with such delays and behavior, especially when all I’ve asked for is my rightful deposit refund. I am now pursuing the matter through Dubai Consumer Protection.

Anyone renting here should be cautious, keep all their proof, and double-check charges.

I had a very bad experience. There are many hidden charges, and the biggest issue is the deposit amount — they are unwilling to return it, almost as if they don’t want to. The customer service becomes worse once you pick up the car

Poorly maintained cars. Customer service is poor. If you are stuck on the side of the road, they don’t have a 24 hour helpline as they claim to have. Please avoid at all cost. If you have problem with your car, they don’t swap it. They tell you to take it to get repaired yourself. If you are a tourist or an expat getting settled into the country and you don’t need drama and unnecessary expenses, avoid.

Worst Rental Experience in Dubai in 5 Years

I have been traveling to Dubai regularly for the past 5 years and have always had great experiences renting cars from various local providers – until I came across Moose Rent a Car. This was by far the worst rental experience I’ve ever had, not just in Dubai, but globally.
Here’s what happened:
1. Price Manipulation: They attempted multiple times to increase the agreed-upon daily fare without any valid reason.
2. Unjustified Charges: At the end of the rental, they never refund me the 1k AED deposit.
3. Threats & Intimidation: They threatened to report me to the police for reasons complaining.
4. No Transparency: They refused to provide a copy of the rental contract, even after repeated requests.
5. No Fixed Office: They wouldn't share a legitimate office location.
6. Unprofessional Communication: All communication was via WhatsApp, with constant redirection to different people/accounts – making it impossible to get answers or resolution.
7. Ridiculous Fees: They demanded 250 AED just to send me a copy of the contract!
8. No Invoice Provided: Despite multiple requests, I never received a proper invoice.
9. Deposit Withholding: They made it extremely difficult to recover my deposit – I had to chase them with bank details and reminders just to get what was rightfully mine.
I haven’t reported them to the police yet only because they were still holding my deposit, but I will be filing an official complaint upon my return.

DO NOT RENT from Moose Rent a Car or their sister companies – Houston Rent a Car, HMA Superior, Rent a Cheap Car, etc. They are all part of the same group and operate with the same lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic ethics.

I rented a car for 3 days but only used it for 2 – I didn’t request any refund for the unused day. However, I was shocked by the unexpected charges deducted afterward:
• SALIK (road tolls) that were never clearly explained or agreed upon in the contract
• A charge for exceeding a 300 km limit, although the contract never mentioned any such restriction
• An additional hotel pickup fee, despite having already paid the driver directly at the time of collection

I raised these issues, but the company failed to provide clear justification or proper customer support. After reading similar reviews here, it’s clear this is a pattern.

This company needs urgent internal review and proper regulation. I will also report the matter to the relevant authorities

Before renting a car from Moosa Rent A car please ask them to outline the terms and conditions to you. They know very well that people don’t read this so they use it to their advantage. Please take note of the below before making a decision to rent from this company.

1) if you have 10 fines in 1 week you will be paying 100 additions service charge per fine which means you will paying total of AED1000. I wonder what service they are rendering and I asked but they can’t answer me.

2) The customer service tells you if you don’t pay your fine immediately they will block your car. They actually did block my car regardless of the fact that I had over 19 days of rent left.

3) They had my colleague pay about. AED9500 because I was not well so I could not drive so my colleague drove my car. So basically if your name is not in the contract and you drive the car, they will have the tenant pay AED12000 as penalty

4) The customer service is very rude and does not pick calls. She only replies to WhatsApp messages

5) If car needs to be service you are to take it yourself to the alqouz branch in Dubai

6) By the way you have to pay for the fines immediately they receive it and not at the end of the car’s tenue otherwise they block the car same as they did for me

WORSE DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE WAS TO RENT FROM THIS PEOPLE AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM. INCASE YOU HAVE BEEN A VICTIM DO NOT FORGET TO DROP A COMMENT AND REPORT THEM TO CONSUMER RIGHTS AUTHORITIES SO THAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE AWARE OF THIS EXTORTION

If I can give zero, I would! They haven’t returned my deposit at all and it’s been more than 2 months since I have returned the car!!! Terrible!!!

One of the most worst rental car company I have seen in UAE. I paid deposit 1000 AED and used the car for 8 days. This Moosa Rent a company deducted 419 AED. Before signing the contract they won’t mention anything about the contract conditions & no transparency. They will blindly send the deductions which we never expected and didn’t mentioned about the kilometres also.
I had mentioned below deductions.

Later after contacting the Ajman consumer rights authority, they took immediate action. If we won’t complain, after 1 year also Moosa Rent a Car won’t refund the deposit.

Moosa rent a car will attract with lower price , but it’s a TRAP. They operating with various rental company name and they will confuse and one important if you cannot contact As the call won’t reach. To get my deposit it took more than 43 days.

First they will inform 21 days , then 30 days after that they will stop to respond you and rarely reply your message.

Scam Alert – Avoid This Company!
I was promised my deposit refund in 21 days (contract says 30), and it’s now been over 40 — still nothing. After I threatned to report them to the police, they suddenly deducted Salik charges from trips done after I returned the car, plus 280 AED pickup and 50 AED admin fees that were never mentioned (even when delivery and booking fees were paid earlier). Total lack of transparency. Feels like a scam. Stay away!

Terrible experience avoid this company!

I rented a car from this company and had a terrible experience from start to finish. First, I had an issue with the car battery it died, and it was unbelievably complicated to get help. It took hours just to find the right person to come and replace it, and the customer service was completely unresponsive and unhelpful throughout the process.

Even worse, I'm now struggling to get my deposit back, with no clear answers or support. Every time I contact them, I either get ignored or sent in circles.

I would never recommend this company to anyone. If you're looking for a stress free rental experience, stay far away from this one.

I had a terrible experience with Moosa Rent a Car. I rented a car in April for my office driver's use, paid a AED 1,000 deposit. Despite returning the car in good condition, they have still not refunded my deposit. They even added wrong figures on the invoice to justify holding back my money.

Repeated follow-ups have gone nowhere, and their customer service is unhelpful. This feels like a scam, and I strongly advise others to stay away from this company.
