All my cats enjoy their meals from RoC. They eat everything they're given.
Customer service is good and deliveries arrive on time. However, my last order was delayed by the delivery company and, upon complaint to RoC, I received a discount on the next box.

Don't be fooled by the branding, this "food" is the same rendering plant mystery-meat slop you'd get from Whiskas or any other cheap supermarket brand.

They dress it up in nice packaging and marketing buzzwords - but one look at the ingredients which are notably absent from the packaging reveals the truth. The tin labelled "with(!) chicken" is said to contain "27% meat and animal derivatives (at least 4% is chicken)" along with various other unknown "derivatives" and sugars. That's right, sugars! I suspect this is to make it taste more edible and get them addicted, at the cost of their dental health.

As a rule of thumb, if a box of cat food claims to be "100% animal protein" but can't even name the animals it contains, then you should probably avoid it. Always read the ingredients!

UPDATE: Apparently by their own admission this stuff is literally just Purina re-packaged and sold under a different name. Because of course it is.

My cat doesn't like the food it's very expensive too I'm paying more now for my cat food than meals for myself, tried the cheap 5 pound trial box now only a week later they are trying to charge me £89 for next week.. I will be cancelling my subscription it's a scam company

Gypsy has always half finished her meals. I give her leftovers to the seagulls every day. That was up to this week when I Received my fist box of "Republic of Cats" food. Every last trace of this food disappears.

My cats enjoy the food.
Of course they do it has sugar and cereals. There are two things which cats don't need in their diet. Well, my bad, as i didn't check before buying. It's cat fast food.
I wanted some change to the food which they were eating for a long time ( high meat content (~70%) with the full ingredients listed, safe for they gut and teeth) but Im not gonna order anymore). It's sad that it's marked as healthy food because it's not.
Im not gonna dump it. I will use it as a treat from time to time, but this is not the food quality that Im looking for, to keep my cats healthy.

Early days as far as it goes per se the cats liking the food but the way customer services has dealt with me has been excellent. When signing up for the trial box I had not realised I was also entering a subscription arrangement which I cancelled immediately. Was confused as to whether the confirmation of cancellation meant that the sample box was also cancelled so contacted Customer services who replied promptly to clarify position. Food wise it is more pate than I expected and less obvious protein than I hoped for but cats seem to like it.

The support staff at RoC are always very helpful, replying promptly and solving whatever query I have, which is usually regarding having my order altered in some way or another.

My cats love this food. There's not one flavour they do not like. The portions are just the right amount and if they leave any, they will finish it off later which they never would with other food. They also love the kibble. Their customer service is excellent.

Waste of time , offer a cheap trial and then just cancel for no reason , false advertising! I did have an account years ago with a different cat that’s sadly passed , now have a new cat that I thought would benefit trying your products , never mind plenty of other genuine offers out there !

Firstly my 2 senior cats love both the kibble and wet food from RoC - previously they’d gone off their pouches and weren’t really interested in kibble, whereas now their appetites are back and they can’t get enough of this food. Their coats are super shiny and they seem more youthful too!
Secondly the customer service I have received has been amazing… quick responses and super supportive solutions to delivery address changes. I can’t believe I only found this company in the past year, am definitely a convert forever!

Being savvy I looked into several similar companies providing high standards high meat concentration cat food. I bought 5 sample boxes from different companies. Truth be told Lucy loved them all -- each was high quality, well packed with full to the brim cans. So as there was no difference in quality, it came down to three points. Difference in cost, was there a postage charge and what were customer service like to deal with. Republic of Cats came out very much on top one company for a month's supply of 57 cans cost £70 plus postage, another charged around the same but with free postage. All I will say is that Republic of Cats has a very competitive price and free postage.

I explained to customer service that I was looking at several companies and they were absolutely wonderful. They told me to take as long as I needed and they would be delighted to.hear when I'd decided....now THAT is what I call customer service. Would I recommend? YOU BET !

My cats really like the food (although one of the four took a wee bit of persuasion initially). Customer support has been really good and I look forward to continuing ordering from them.

READ THE INGREDIENT BEFORE YOU PURCHASE. got a trial box I’m not very happy with the food although my cats seem to like it but they like everything anyway I just find it to be a bit gross and expensive for what it is, it Looks and smells like any other generic cat food and they only hold 4% of what it is meant to be (chicken, pork, fish or whatever ever the tin says at the front) the rest is “meat and other derivatives” which are unspecified so in a can of fish there’s other meats and derivatives that could be from another animal! Makes no sense and can’t be that healthy. I should have read before I paid, I would rather just buy Whiskas. Anyway two stars because the cats like it but I won’t be feeding them with it again. So far untamed are unmatched 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽

Ordered a trial box which never showed up , contacted customer services who were very apologetic and assured me another was on its way as the first was lost in transit. I received a delivery notice to say arriving Monday but nothing showed up. I have since cancelled my subscription and they have refunded my £5. Guess I’ll never know if our cat would have liked their cat food 🤔 You really need to find a decent delivery company ad I have read other reviews on here about the same issues.

Republic of cats provides up to date answers to any question asked. Their service and cat food are superb, well worth giving a try.

I’ve been really disappointed with the customer service from Republic of Cats.

My third subscription order was dispatched on Friday 31st July and was due to be delivered by Tuesday 4th. It’s being delivered via Amazon Shipping, but I received conflicting delivery notifications on 2nd saying it was running late and wouldn’t arrive until 5th and then another saying the 6th.

I contacted Republic of Cats via WhatsApp on Sunday 2nd so my message would be waiting when they opened on Monday. I explained that I was running low on cat food and wanted to know what was happening with my order. Unfortunately, there is no telephone number and no live chat facility, so the only contact options are WhatsApp messaging or email. That means you can’t actually have a real-time conversation with someone to resolve an urgent issue.

Every time you send a WhatsApp message, you receive the same automated response with cat themed puns asking for your details, even when you’re already in the middle of an ongoing conversation. Then you wait hours for someone to reply. It isn’t a live chat at all, so trying to get answers to simple questions becomes a slow and frustrating process.

After waiting a long time for a response, and sending another message on Monday, I was told they would look into it and update me when they had a response but in the meantime I could track my order using the link which I already had queried as it hadn’t updated.

Heard nothing further so contacted them again on Wednesday and was eventually told not to worry because my order was “arriving today” and was sent the same tracking link yet again. I explained that the tracking clearly showed no movement and it hadn’t even reached the local delivery depot, so I wasn’t confident it would arrive. Sure enough, it never did. It continued to say “arriving today” until late that night.

The next morning it changed to “On the way, but running late. As soon as we have an update, we’ll let you know.” That told me absolutely nothing about when to expect a £130 order that appeared to have disappeared somewhere in the delivery network.

I also made Republic of Cats aware due to delay I then only had two small tins of food left for my two cats. Despite knowing that I was about to run out of food, there was no sense of urgency, no meaningful update, and no attempt to offer a solution. Because of the cost of the order and because it contains a month’s supply of food, I didn’t want to go out and buy more locally unless I absolutely had to in case it then turned up. My cats are used to this food now and I didn’t want to start introducing a different brand all of a sudden as that can upset their digestive system.

What makes this even more frustrating is the tone of the company’s communications. The automated messages and replies contain cat themed puns, which might be fine for marketing, but when a customer is worried about feeding their pets and is trying to get help with a missing order, it feels inappropriate and unprofessional.

I appreciate that Amazon Shipping is the courier and that delivery delays can happen. However, I do expect the company I’ve paid to take ownership of the problem, communicate properly, and support their customers when something goes wrong with their choice of courier. Subscriptions are fine so long as they’re well managed as you’re relying on that working properly so you don’t run out. Sadly, that hasn’t been my experience.

Update: Have received a response 5 hours after contacting them yet again on 6th telling me the order has been lost but “not to worry” as they’re requesting a replacement order on an express service “ASAP” and to have “the finest of days”!?I have been telling them for the last 4 days there was something wrong with the delivery as there were no updates and I still have no idea when the replacement order may arrive as they have provided no information or commitment on a delivery date. Regardless of when that arrives I have no cat food today so have to go out and buy some locally which won’t be the same and defeats the object of having a subscription service so am requesting cancellation and refund. Shop bought brands may not be of such high quality but at least they’re readily available and you’re not reliant on a hard to contact team who are slow to react and show no empathy when their service fails.

I got the 10 day taster pack expecting my cat Salem to only like the wet food as he usually does, but he is just as excited about the biscuits which I'm over the moon about.

Additionally, his faeces has already improved DRASTICALLY, over the week, he would constantly have diarrhoea, and vomit quite often, I've tried many different things over the years to improve it, but the whole time I could've just changed him over to Republic of Cats!!!

I also love the little parts of the packaging, e.g. the names of the food recipes (the Ministry of Gravy and Stews is my favourite), makes it fun for me as his owner lol.
