Absolute shocking experience.

Completely unclear about the process before applying and wasted so much of my time.

Ringing them felt like I had rang somebody who was sat in their living room that didn’t care about how much stress they had caused me. Just really upset by the whole thing and has left me feeling ten times worse.

Saw the advert at work. completely desperate, early 40s man single, lives alone, working 7 days a week in 2 jobs whilst caring for my father whose benefits have stopped and can't seem to catch a break, just one thing after another and so sick of people saying 'oh you can get help' apparently not, I mean if i was jobless and on housing I'd probably get all the help I want and much more money but people asking/begging for some help just doesn't work. All I got was a simple rejection 'we can't help you' well no one can, so well done for calling yourself a charity - I mean I bet you all earn nice salaries ey..... well done you absolute vile human beings

Horrible company. They should not be allowed to call themselves charity. My situation is extreme, desperate, really. My managers at work were certain I would get something from The Retail Trust to help me to move into the new property found in emergency by the Council but which needs work to be done privately before being a livable place. I can’t pay. After making me wait for two weeks, my case was rejected, no explanation, nothing. And they dare to use the work wellbeing. And they prétend to be part of the « let’s end domestic violence, let’s fight against severe mental illness, let’s be fair with disabled people » movement. Amateurs who destroy people’s future lives just by pressing on a button. Don’t expect any help from them, especially if your case is serious.

Has been made an aplication for suport on 24t/09,today 13/10 still dint have an answer.in my opinion people who ask for help cannot wait for 3 weeks to answer.

Terrible "charity". Couldn't be less interested in the needs of people. Very elitist.
If you have a disability, forget it, they will use it say they can't help you.

It's hard to figure out what the purpose of the retail trust actually is! They're "engaged" by my employer, but the extent of their interaction seems to be web pages full of platitudes, and clueless call handlers.

I had a very disappointing experience with Retail Trust. When I called for help, I was brushed off almost immediately. The person on the phone seemed uninterested, untrained, and unwilling to offer any real support. It felt like they couldn’t be bothered to listen, let alone help. I was left feeling worse than before I called. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend their services, as they didn’t have anyone who could actually assist or show genuine care. If this is how they support people in need, it’s deeply concerning.
