It still hasn't sunk it quite how much help I have received from the Warm Homes Local Grant via Retrofit. The grant application process was simple and the grant fully funded all my home improvements (loft insulation, ventilation measures and 7 solar panels). There really were no catches.

It was a pleasure to deal with all the Retrofit staff and I was very happy with the installers that they chose for the work (Crystal Windows). The installers were polite, good communicators, tidy and gave good handovers. They showed me photos of the completed work where I couldn't see it (eg in the loft and the solar panels on the roof) and explained fully what they had done and why. I am very pleased with the workmanship.

Everything was done in a very efficient manner from Kelly's first phone call and the work took less than 2 weeks (including the scaffold coming down).

My house is now warmer and no longer damp or mouldy. I've been watching my smart meter and can see that I will save a lot of money this Winter on electricity. Thank you so much!

Very professional work done, and the guys who did the work were a great helpful team. The doors and windows are fantastic. The heating system is absolutely amazing. My cold rooms are now really warm. I am extremely grateful, and thank you very much for all your help and support.

All was done really well really impressed with the process and outcome .I now have a warmer home without drafts so glad I applied for the Grant.

Such a positive experience led and coordinated by RetrofitWorks. At every step of the way they were prompt in their management of the project, were quick to ensure any questions I had were answered and where any challenges arose, they were quick to find resolutions. Overall install of solar panels looks great and seems to be functioning well.

A particular thank you to Alex who visited to inspect works and progress on multiple occasions who was most helpful and knowledgeable and keen to deliver exceptionally high standards across the project (also Ben who accompanied him on one visit) and Kelly who was always more than ready to help via phone or email and who was always very efficient.

The friendly and supportive nature of the team at Retrofit should be commended.

Overall highly recommended - RetrofitWorks are an outstanding organisation with a great work ethic who can deliver a project to high standards in customer centric way.

From day one to the completion of the works carried out the admin staff were excellent in keeping me informed as to what was happening at all times, as for the installion team first class , always ready to explain what was going on and cleaned up after themselves , I would recommend Retrofit Works to anyone first class people and first class job.

From start to finish this was easy, they really are there to help and has drastically help with iur bills
(Obviously depends on the weather too) everything was a arranged and sorted by them
All done and not a penny spent by us but we reap the benefits
Cant rate these higher, call centers, fitters, deliveries all spot on and worth the time

When we first received a letter saying we were entitled to free Solar Panels we were very sceptical - something for nothing "mmm really must be a con". However, we decided to contact the number given to us just to see what was actually being offered and we are so glad we did. From the initial phone call to the the end product we are so pleased with the result and everyone we dealt with along the way from the people in the office to the chaps that did the actual work were really friendly, extremely helpful, knowledgeable and above all a great bunch of people making us feel that we truly made the right decision.

Everyone that I had contact with through the process of panel fitting was very helpful. I felt they all really cared and sincerely wanted to do their best for customers - not so common these days!
Cassie was especially good at explaining how procedures worked during several conversations and came across as a friendly and lively personality, an asset to Retrofit I feel.

The worst company on the planet. After getting my warmer homes grant approved they found every excuse not to carry out the work. I believe they kept the Grant money, they are crooks

Warmer Homes London and Retrofit not fit for purpose. The Mayor of London should be investigating these firms. It is disgusting. I was really happy to be accepted on the Mayor's scheme and live in an old house. After one whole year of different companies and people saying different things, different surveyors from different companies coming into my home and taking photos etc, they cancelled my application. The lies they told in their emails and changing the goal posts all the time of what could be done, including the customer services women were awful. One particular woman was so rude and aggressive. Most of this £40 million has lined the pockets of these companies and their disorganised and shambolic administrators instead of providing much need insulation / replacement of boilers etc. for residents.

I wish these people would actually communicate with their customers in a meaningful way and take responsibility when something goes wrong.
Their customer service is a joke.
Cut and paste apologies which state :
-“Customer satisfaction is our top priority, and I am terribly disappointed that
was not demonstrated to you. While we would love the opportunity to regain your trust and understand how frustrated you must be; rest assured your grievances will be investigated.” are utterly meaningless when they don’t actively listen, ignore emails and take zero accountability for completely wasting 7 months of my life due to utter incompetence.
Their contractors are just as bad.

Dreadful experience, no stars!
I was so excited when I was accepted for the Mayor of London's Warmer Homes scheme, but unfortunately this soon turned into disappointment.
The Mayor awarded RetrofitWorks £40 million. I wonder how much of this has actually been spent on doing the work they were commissioned to do.
Their affiliated companies are equally dreadful.
I received approval for the scheme early in December 2022, had a survey on 6th January 2023 and then heard nothing for several months.
I thought there would be a welcome letter, some sort of process of what to expect and should happen next.
Nothing.
On the Mayors's website it says that successful candidates would be contacted within a week of a successful application and would have a dedicated case worker.
Never happened. I found that RetrofitWorks could not be contacted by email or phone. There was no way of making contact with RetrofitWorks.
Eventually I called Warmer Homes, who then put me through to someone at RetrofitWorks and this person (whose name I'm not going to repeat here, but others have commented on him, the rudest person I have ever experienced in any position of customer service) had already decided what work I was going to have done to my house without any previous consultation with me. This was the first time I actually spoke to someone at RetrofitWorks.

Weeks went by, nothing happened.
Eventually I received a call by the same person from RetrofitWorks who then told me that the previous measure recommended by RetrofitWorks was now too expensive and I should opt for another measure. Initially I was led to believe that my house needed 5 retrofit measures, but now it was only one.
I was then sent a contract by RetrofitWorks for work to be carried out by a subcontractor, who, as it turned out was also going to subcontract the work to another subcontractor.
The contract included no details, I wasn't sure, what was actually going to happen to my house, only that it was a contract for £5000, for flat roof insulation.
My questions to the subcontractor about the nature of the work, i.e if the insulation was on the inside or outside of the flat roof, were not answered.
I could not sign such a contract.

As a consequence no work has been done, I have just wasted a lot of time.
You have to submit a lot of confidential paper work in order to get onto the scheme and then allow a very intrusive survey.

The scheme has been in place since autumn 2022 year and so there should be a lot of happy customers leaving reviews.
In truth there are only a handful of reviews, most of them very poor, no stars, some old complimentary reviews from former employees who worked for this company years ago.
My complaints to the director of RetrofitWorks and to Warmer Homes have not been answered.

The work of retrofitting London's old housing stock is so necessary.
If my and other people's experience is anything to go RetrofitWorks should never have been awarded this contract. It is a complete shambles.

I will be making a full complaint to the Mayor of London about my experience with the Warmer Homes Scheme and RetrofitWorks.

Promises you that it can retrofit your house to make it greener, and then delivers absolutely nothing SHAMBLES OF A COMPANY, COMPLETE DISGRACE.
