Retrospec Reviews 

Do not buy an e-bike from Retrospec. My wife's Beaumont Rev 2 only worked for less than a dozen neighborhood bike rides. Then the hub motor won't engage. They've sent two parts for me to replace and it still doesn't work. Now I have to take the bike an hour away to a bike shop and pay $125 for a diagnosis fee to see if they can figure out what part isn't working. What a hassle and headache from poor quality. I will never buy a bicycle online again. Cheap Chinese components and poor customer service. Waste of $800 and a year of trying to get the bicycle to work.

Terrible return policy, basically nothing is returnable. Awful support (all AI) and assembly instructions that that are not tied to correct models. This isn’t a serious company.

Good communication, fast delivery, nice products. Good prices. What more could you ask?

I would give them zero stars if I could. Horrible customer service and cheaply built products. Admitted to including the wrong instructions in the package and not including all of the parts needed. Dismissive of concerns and lists the customer service rep as “Joel” each time.

Customer concerns are answered promptly. (Zak) provided answers and solutions for a leak on my new inflatable kayak. Looking forward to repairing and using my kayak soon. PS - Will be 5 star once it's in the water.

Kayak broke after the third use broke from the seam and the white inflated rubber came out !

Ordering a bike + accessories with a discount code was a hassle.
The bike took longer than expected to arrive, and the instructions weren’t just tiny (WHO APPROVED THAT FONT SIZE??) the drawings were hard to understand.
And then, after an entire weekend of trying to put in the front tire, looking online for tips & tricks, I was told they ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS WERE WRONG?!?
You couldn’t add a sticker, or a letter or send an email? I wasted hours trying to figure it out. Not cool.

Finally, the lock, basket and helmet arrived well over a month after I placed my order, when I’d already purchased them elsewhere, so my daughter could use the bike.
Your brand is affordable & appealing, but my experience left a lot to be desired ☹️

Bike strap on basket broke after only 1 month. I reached out to Amazon to replace this (as it was well within the 1 year warranty period) and they told me I needed to contact Retrospec directly. Upon reaching out to the distributor, I received no response back. When I followed up again with Amazon months later they told me I should try contacting Retrospec again at a different email, which I did, and still did not hear back. Amazon is now telling me nothing can be done as the product is now out of warranty. I’m very disappointed as I loved this basket but have very little trust now in the brand and don’t feel I should have to buy a new one due to the distributor’s negligence and inability to uphold their warranty.

Update: I am located in Canada and I never received an email response back - both times I emailed your team. I would appreciate a response and look forward to hearing back.

I purchased the Weekender Plus paddle board and it’s amazing. Just being able to attach the paddle to the board and use the shoulder strap made this my favorite board! The quality is better than my last one and I highly recommend it! I haven’t used the seat yet, but I love that I have that option.

They have some issues with their ordering portal, AI chat support, and processes but Zac was able to resolve them for me and said would try to correct portal issues moving forward.

My experience with customer service was the best experience I’ve had in 20 years with any other company. There response to my problems were taken care of immediately. And I would and do, recommend this bicycle company to all my family and friends. Excellent customer service and great products
