The Rugged book was as specified, it was easy to buy, for my first experience with them, I could not ask for a better service.

We had just been burned by another unit not working, purchased from a large-scale retailer, and I had to run our field equipment on my personal 10+ year old laptop. To make sure my team had one that worked, I purchased our unit from Rugged Books to run those pieces of field equipment, since we are often out in weather and needed a better field laptop. I called the customer service line directly Naz walked me through the process of what we needed to make sure that everything would be compatible. It has been working well for two months now (purchased April 2026). Fantastic customer service.

Buyer Beware: My Experience with Rugged Books
On January 29, 2026, I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab Active5 tablet from Rugged Books for $414.99. My credit card was charged immediately.
After tracking showed no shipment activity, I contacted the company on February 11, 2026. I received a written response from their Ecommerce Analyst stating:
"Unfortunately, due to an issue, this unit is out of stock. I will cancel your order... Your payment will be refunded."
The order was canceled, but the promised refund was never issued.
On February 13, 2026, I followed up requesting confirmation and documentation of the refund. I was again told only that the order had been canceled. No refund documentation was provided, and no refund was received.
As of today, Rugged Books has retained my $414.99 despite acknowledging they could not fulfill the order and confirming the order was canceled.
I have filed complaints with the FTC and am pursuing all available remedies through my credit card issuer and consumer protection agencies.
Consumers should carefully research this company before making a purchase and should document all communications if they choose to do business with them.
I have retained copies of all emails and order documentation supporting these statements.

The quality is incredible! But it is DELL for God sake!

I have to admit that I was initially a bit hesitant about purchasing a refurbished computer online from overseas—especially considering the cost involved. However, my experience with Rugged Books turned out to be very positive overall.
The device arrived in excellent condition and matched my expectations in terms of quality. The packaging was careful and secure, and the shipping was punctual and well handled throughout the process.
I also appreciated the ability to customize the order, which made it possible to configure the machine according to my needs. If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be providing slightly more detailed information about the battery specifications.
That said, the overall experience was very good, and I am satisfied with the purchase.

I found the ordering process fairly simple, the responses back were quick. I like the Panasonic CF31 computer for its durability and options that are not always available in other laptops (ie: DVD/CD player).

There is no better place to shop for high-quality electronics. The level of service and the team at Rugged are outstanding.

My first experience with Rugged Books was a test, I purchased one of the least expensive items on their site, an old refurb getac v110 g4 for my brother who works a rough and dirty blue collar job, the kind that has him buying a new phone every other month.
He has absolutely loved the laptop so far, and it's survived so that speaks for itself!
The prices on Rugged Books are very competitive, you can maybe find some of the upgrades for less, but for the time you'll spend, it's easier to pay a little more and just have it show up ready to go.
I only ordered a soft handle and screen protector... the screen protector had a few tiny bubbles, but I'd give it a 95% positive... the handle is a little flimsy with it's connectors but that's not rugged books fault. However the tiny screws used to fasten the handle were slightly wallowed and one had its threads a little crossed. Those things are a pain to get just right and if you're using power tools, it can easily damage them. Still, 90% for that part.
I only know this because I was so pleased with the v110g4 that I bought a v110g6 for myself not even a week later! and swapped out the handle. Screen protector though? It's not easy finding one that fits this size of screen! So again, definitely would have been worth the price to have Rugged Books send it already done. Oh! The batteries on the g4 were great, despite being used with a warning they may not hold charge. The g6 loses charge quite a bit faster. I can't speak to the quality of the chinese knockoff batts but they cost half of the OEM ones sold by Rugged Books. Just an option if you end up with lifeless batts after gambling on the used ones to save money. Rugged Books had decently fast shipping, not Amazon speed but that's fine. It arrived well packaged through DHL Express, the first time I've ever used them before, and I have nothing bad to say about that!! That's about all I can think to say at this point. I'm a happy customer. Maybe I'll be mad if they break in less than a year, but as far as Rugged Books goes, it's a legit business with competitive prices and I'd use them again!

This company had my toughbook built and delivered before the date of delivery. Prompt service and a good quality build. I have been using this for a few days now and am pleased with the way it works for programming cars. I will definitely use them again.
