Took over a year to get my 25% tax free lump sum!! In the end I had to transfer my funds to another platform. I complained to the ombudsman and they sent their final response - backdated over 6 months so the ombudsman couldn't act! Avoid putting your hard earned money into their Ponzi scheme!!

Scottish Widows Pension
A simple instruction given to SW to change funds I’m saving into and I’ve done exactly as was asked of me but it just isn’t being carried out. I have now rung three times and each time no-one I speak to can confirm the instruction is being carried out. On each call they refer to the ‘back office’ but they can’t contact them directly and give me any acknowledgement anything is being carried out. The dates I was originally told have now been altered and put back. I am SO fed up with SW and really would NOT advise anyone to take out a pension with them.

Probably the most woeful and shameless bank in the UK. These people actually sent me a letter to tell me that I would be better off with another provider, basically because they are not interested in offering anything that resembles 'good'. The Directors of this outfit should be very very ashamed of themselves. They are simply not fit to head up any financial institution. The whole of Scottish Widows is an outrageous disgrace.

My father passed away at the end of Oct & trying to retrieve his life insurance to cover funeral costs is proving to be very difficult.When my parents took this cover out they were told it would be a simple procedure to go through once the time came for either of them.My 86 year old mother doesn’t need this.Disgraceful service from Scottish Widows.I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy.

I HAVE NOT USED THE BANKING SIDE OF SCOTTISH WIDOWS SO DO NOT KNOW HOW BAD THINGS ARE,BUT I SEE FROM THE REVIEWS HERE THEY ARE SIMILAR TO REVIEWS LEFT ON THE PENSIONS & INVESTMENTS SITE. HOW A COMPANY WITH SO MANY POOR REVIEWS IS STILL IN BUSINESS IS HARD TO UNDERSTAND. I HOPE S.W ACT ON THESE REVIEWS &TRY TO RESOLVE THESE ISSUES IN A COMPETENT FASHION BEFORE IT IS TO LATE FOR THEM TO TURN IT AROUND.
AS FOR ME AS A CUSTOMER IT ALREADY IS TO LATE ,ONCE I HAVE RESOLVED MY ISSUES WITH S.WIDOWS I WILL BE MOVING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE & WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIER PRODUCTS TO ANY-ONE. MY ADVICE TO ANY NEW INVESTORS IS AVOID,AVOID,AVOID.
MR CHIRANTAN BARUA YOU HAVE A HUGE TASK AHEAD OF YOU ,BUT AS THIS COMPANY & MANY OTHER COMPANIES OPERATE YOU AND YOUR BOARD ROOM COLLEAGUES ARE PAID GENEROUSLY WHETHER YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR ROLE OR NOT THEN JUST MOVE ONTO ANOTHER WELL PAID POSITION ELSE WHERE WITH YOUR LARGE PENSION AND GOLDEN HAND-SHAKE AT THE INVESTORS EXPENSE .

AS STATED IN MY OTHER REVIEW,YOU HAVE MY PHONE NUMBER S.W. CALL ME &LET US RESOLVE AT LEAST ONE POOR PENSIONERS ISSUES. ME!!! (AGAIN I WILL KEEP THOSE INTERESTED UP-DATED ON MY ON-GOING ISSUES WITH THIS,THE SCOTTISH BRANCH OF THE MAFIA)
