Although selective were great in the beginning with selling our house. They told us they had their own conveyancing which is not the case. They actually contract this out to move with us who then put it out to tender and give misguided pieces with hidden charges in small print.This has in turn ended up costing us £800+ in extra charges going through the third company parties they use to do this. If using them do not use their conveyancing or Merritt’s Solicitors in Yarm.

Viewed a property in Redcar loverly lady showed us around. Where told if we wanted to put papers in to ring Guisborough office to start the process. Where also told that when we put papers in they would stop any more viewings. Papers where put in the same day. Recieved link for Home Let. All came back passed. Then the fun and lies began we where told another couple had a viewing and they had to be shown around which was four days after our viewing. Then where told they had to be allowed to have time to put papers in which they did not. Then we where told that they had to be rang up to check if they wanted to put papers in. Which we where told no they did not put papers in. Then we where told that they could not contact the landlady and had left several messages. Friday came one week since we had viewed a message saying Rental girl was going on holiday for a week and if she had not been contacted by the owner/Landlady by 5pm it would be when the Rental girl had returned before it was sorted.
This was not acceptable as the property was removed from the site and no call or further information was recieved. Monday we called the estate agents requesting information as we had to sort out job moving putting notice in at work and present Rental. We where called back sometime later and guess what somehow the couple who viewed after us had put papers in and the owner had taken them.
So we would have had to wait another week before been told we had been unsuccessful even though this must have been all sorted on the Friday. Absolute shower of lies and decit would not recommend. Also Home Let send out what amounts to huge amounts of unsolicited emails and cold calling making out its all part of the process reported to the trading standards.
