Jernej was passionate and engaging. He provided clear implementable advice in an interactive manner on how to improve visual communications.

We learned structures and methods to highlight key messages more effectively, and implemented these immediately through a peer-review of slides and images we had submitted as homework prior to the course.

Attending the training on visual communication in science was a fantastic experience primarily because it equipped me with essential skills to effectively convey complex scientific information visually. The hands-on learning and practical exercises allowed me to immediately apply what I learned, which significantly enhanced my ability to create clear and compelling visuals. Overall, this training not only improved my professional capabilities but also inspired me to explore new ways of enhancing communication in science through visuals.

Jernej reintroduced some basic or intuitive principles of visual communication and sparked new ideas I'll incorporate in future figures & presentations.

The courses are of pretty high quality. The explanations and examples are very illustrative, and the pointers provided are very useful. The instructor has a clear way of explaining the visual communication of science. The additional courses on presentation slides and posters are incredibly useful and help with their design. Totally recommended.

Online Course is easy to follow. Live course with good activities and feedback. I recommend to do this not in the beginning of a new project, because you something to present. Otherwise wel recommended.

Great overview of science communication aspects, interactive approach and useful links were the highlights of Visual Communication Resources workshop

This workshop was very well conducted, and as long as the courses material was followed beforehand, it was rewarding. The courses on the Seyens platform were easy to understand, and easy to apply. While none of them really "taught" me anything new in terms of principles, with perhaps the exception of taking into account color schemes more friendly for the color-blind, I'd say that is one of their strenghts, because everything within made logical, intuitive sense. The courses simply encouraged us to focus and consciously apply those easy-to-use principles. I never felt like my hand was held too much, or like I was an idiot for not following those principles in the first place, just that it was something I had to get used to doing. The live Workshop was a great capstone to get us to actively think about those newly learned principles. I have no particular criticism of it to add, I just thought the experience was very nice in general, and I think that the course would easily be applicable to other types of communication. :)

Great courses with a lot of tips and tricks, nice workshop with personalized advices.

I really enjoyed the workshop and it really made me face my deepest fear (tackling the graphical abstract).

Everything was very clear and informative and I'm looking forward putting it into practice.

I just wished the workshop was advertised as a full day event!
And just "food for thoughts" maybe some general instructions on how to make graphical abstract for our research.
