I was hoping to give a 5 star review.
My Golden Retriever has suffered from bouts of soft stools off and (mostly) on for the past 8 months. After trying several other treatments, my vet suggested this product. After just one pill my dog had explosive runny stools with urgency. The instructions said if your dog is sensitive to supplements, wait a day before giving another. In the meantime, we gave him pumpkin and his stools returned to normal. Then we gave him another pill. Again, explosive diarrhea and getting us up several times in the night to go out. I called my vet. She said discontinue use.
I called Animal Biome to require about a refund since their product made my dog very sick and only 2 pills had been used out of the $180.00 bottle of supplements.
They said I could return for 50% refund, and if I paid for return shipping.

I started our 2 year old GSD mix on Gut Restore and S Boullardi/FOS powder after dealing with off and on bouts of diarrhea since he was a puppy. After many vet visits and trying other probiotics, nothing helped and this was the next step. It was a slow start but after two rounds of the Gut Restore combined with the S Boullardi powder, we have been getting pretty consistently solid stool with no issues for the last few months. Nothing else worked for our boy, and because he’s stabilized, we’ve been able to place him on a daily maintenance dose of s Boullardi, along with now hydrolyzed protein food. That combo has kept him having solid stool for a while now so we just started the subscription! Everyone has been so helpful in recommending when adjustments may be needed, thank you so much Animal Biome!

This is the worst account set up I've ever seen. They are using Shopify but you set up an account through shop.animalbiome only you can't see your subscription informaiton -- just your oders once they go out. So I wound up with two subscriptions. When I realized my mistake I tried to cancel one and discovered I couldn't find it and can't elminate a payment method or anything. Somehow I'm "signed up" but can't change anything. Plus you have to write them or call them to change anything and they aren't getting back to me. (Calling also tells you AFTER several minutes on hold to leave your number for a call back, which you never get.)

I received my shipment intact and on time. The product is very good and I can rely on them to get my order processed quickly

I’ve been giving our cat Gut Restore for about one month. He’s been diagnosed with either Intestinal Bowel Disease or cancer via an ultrasound, and as it’s been over a year since he was diagnosed, I’m certain he has IBD. He won’t eat prescription food and his poor bowels rumble and he has lost so much weight and muscle. It’s been devastating to see his decline with this terrible disease, which was treated by the veterinarian with prednisone for inflammation and pain relief, and an appetite stimulant. It seemed hopeless until I tried this product, found by googling “microbiome and feline IBD”. Gut Restore product information likens itself to a fecal transplant and that seems to have really helped my cat! He’s actually gaining a bit of weight and is much steadier on his feet and is playful and more engaging with the household. Unfortunately, he must have permanent damage to his bowels but for now, he’s doing so much better. I wish I had found this product a long time ago. Thank you for the innovative treatment.

The S Boulardii was magic to my cat's intestinal issue. The test results were extremely interesting and explained a lot of why she has been having issues ever since the antibiotic had been given. The AnimalBiome Representative was very patient with my questions and knowledgeable on what to expect with their products.

Ten days from receipt of order is too long to wait for delivery. My second order took 14 days.

Seal on the s.boulllardi powder was not tight so that air got into the powder. Pleased so far with the products, though.

Animal Biomes S Boulardi FOS has greatly improved my pup’s digestive issues. It’s the right probiotic for her. Having a dog with IBD for most of her life we have tried several different probiotics , all of them too harsh . This product really made the difference.

Kitty biome gut test results were so helpful. We’ve just started the first recommended phase of pre and pro biotics, and in one week we are already seeing our cat’s stool become more solid than it’s been in 4 years!

Disappointed with no answers after 9 months
I thought this company was my savior but turned into false hope. After 9 months I’m right back where I started. I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback. She had been licking her paws. Smelled like almonds. She stinks and my wife definitely wasn’t happy with the smell. So I tried anything. Expensive dog food. I got chewable probiotics. In doing research I found this company. I got the gut test $125. Then the gut restore $125. Wife not happy about the cost but it worked. For a little while. So I’m all in. Loving this product. I go to buy a bunch of gut shield chews. There out of stock. They say the super shield chews are the same thing. So I order a couple and wait for the guy shield chews to come back in stock. I waited about 3 months. Still waiting. It never came back in stock. They had a sale so I bought more super shield chews. Another 6 bottles. So that’s 8 bottles and my dog is right back where we started. Red paws and stinking up the house. So I turn to the company. Ask to go over my dogs chart. See if I missed something. Long story short. All they wanted to do is sell me another guy health check. Said 9 months is perfect to do it again to truly see how my dogs stomach is doing. I don’t need a $125 test to tell my dog isn’t good. What a joke. I spent almost 500 bucks and got nothing. I believe my dog is just having allergies. Just a heads up. There are actual dog food allergy test from chewy. 80 bucks and they will give you a recommendation for what is the best food for your dog. I wish I knew about this sooner. I would have never wasted my money. At the end of my phone call with the company’s employee. I asked her if the company really cares about my dog health they would just send me a gut test for free. Since I already paid for one. She told me. Oh I can’t do that. Waste of time waste of money.
