Friendly, Professional, and Hassle Free Experience
The staff were friendly and professional from the start, and made the process smooth and stress free. All the information was explained clearly, and access to the facilities is straightforward and convenient. They were also able to answer all of my questions confidently and thoroughly. So far everything has been great and I’m very satisfied with the service (:

Top. Der Startpreis war ein unschlagbares Sonderangebot. Wurde dann aber auch halbjährlich teurer. Muss man wissen. Jederzeit wieder.

Drastic price hikes and questionable "upgrades"
I’ve been using Shurgard Berlin for a year, and while the experience started well, it has become increasingly disappointing for long-term customers. I recently received notice of a 25% price increase (€12). While technically legal, this sharp hike feels very unfriendly to loyal clients.
Additionally, the new "App-only" entry system is a step backward. It’s a major risk if your phone dies or you have technical issues. I also feel much less safe now that the lift passcode has been removed; the security feels significantly downgraded compared to when I signed up. I am now looking at competitors to move my belongings.

Antwoord van Shurgard Self Storage - Berlin Friedrichshain
Hello, thank you for taking the time to share your comments. We offer a wide variety of unit sizes and types, so if you don’t have many things to store, you won’t end up paying for space you’re not using. We are confident that the overall cost of your storage unit offers good value in the market.
As for app-only, we’re sorry to hear about your frustration regarding the recent changes to access times and the introduction of the app. We understand that changes like these can be inconvenient. The app is intended to improve both security and convenience. Our team remains at your disposal for any additional questions you may have. Your Shurgard Team
