We are an independent family-owned group of opticians and have for over thirty years been striving to provide the best eye care. Our range of extensive optical services such as Optos, Topcon OCT and Zeiss cater for a variety of eye problems and wide range of spectacle prescriptions. We are accredited to provide excellent aftercare, accurate spectacle prescriptions and quick referral for cataract surgery to both NHS and private eye clinics. We also provide routine and urgent appointments for dry / sore / red / eyes under an NHS paid MECS scheme.

My heartfelt thanks to the optician and staff yesterday for examining my eye to allay any panic about a detached retina. They fitted me in at a moment's notice at the very end of their working day, and gave such patient and professional service. I will never forget their kindness.

Friendly helpful staff, got an appointment the same day I called, very efficient service. Even phoned the next day to make sure I had got my antibiotics that had been prescribed.

First class service
I contacted Simon Kleyn opticians as I was experiencing eye problems, they booked me into a same day appointment and Simon, the optician, gave me answers and solutions which other opticians including a well known high street brand had failed to identify. Simon has referred me for further treatment and I now have a routeway to potentially resolve my condition. Super service and a great friendly team at Frinton opticians.

Wonderful, thorough service and experience from start to finish. Both cataracts dealt with, with minimal fuss and add to this, a great service from NewMedica in Ipswich who performed the procedures with minimal delay! Thanks so much

Having suffered worrying eye symptoms I was seen within 20 minutes of phoning the practice, I was seen in hospital the next day
On returning to the practice I was given a follow up appointment where I could ask lots of questions

I can’t praise Simon Kleyn, Optician-Optometrist too highly. Highly skilled & professional. By far the best I’ve ever met. I was seen twice & had my files sent to the Eye Clinic. I was first seen on Friday 9th June. I was worried about my condition & so went back on Monday 12th June. I got an appointment at the Eye Clinic on Tuesday 13th June. Fantastic

I visited Simon Kleyn today as I had a floater in one of my eyes, very experienced person who thoroughly examined both my eyes. He explained exactly what a floater is and advised me that should this happen again to call him immediately, not wait 3/4 weeks as I have done. I was one of the lucky ones and am most grateful for all his advice. Thank you Simon.

Excellent practice
I was experiencing issues with my vision and got an appointment the same day.
The team were very friendly and thorough - fortunately I got the all clear, but was so glad I had got the check as it was really reassuring.

Got some brick dust in my eye and could…
Got some brick dust in my eye and could not see it. Rang Simon Kleyn at 4.50pm 10 mins before closing and the receptionist said come on down no ifs or buts. Saw the optometrist and to my delight he was able to find the dust and remove it. Wasnt expecting to be seen so big thank you to Simon Kleyn opticians.
