Our Canoe holiday in Scotland was wonderful. Chucky was a great guide, knowledgeable, calm, supportive and a great cook! Billy was also a brilliant guide, so knowledgeable about every inch of Scotland - up early, last to bed and always making sure everyone had hot drinks when we needed them. A great team who looked after us so well! We had a brilliant time getting to know new people and challenging ourselves to get outside of our comfort zone. Would highly recommend to anyone contemplating doing it - say yes!

Just finished our 4 day mini tour de Mont Blanc today. This was incredible- the scenery, our guide, the locations, and the company- what amazing people! Grigor, our guide, was very knowledgeable, constantly giving us interesting facts and sharing full details ahead of each day. He was also most kind and considerate, getting to know each group member personally and meeting our needs where he could. The refuges were each unique and came with their own quirks, but each is located in a most stunning location. The walking was tough at times and genuinely challenged us but we left with a real sense of achievement. Thank you.

The trip was outstanding, took a few days for my body to recover. Though I would do something similar in a heartbeat. Wild camping, I had never camped out wild, what a great experience and the food, I am fussy about my food, all I can say the food was outstanding. The guides were knowledgeable and a good laugh. Just finished Tour de Mont Blanc with my 17 year old son, we both have had a holiday that will stay in our memories forever. Our guides Sally and Tracey were first class they put us at ease instantly and I can honestly say this holiday went far better than I could ever of hoped, partly down to the company we had on this trip, the mountain huts were fabulous the views were breathtaking. AlpAdventures literally thought of everything and our guides went above and beyond. Will definitely be booking another.

My first trip with Skyhook and I am seriously impressed! So well-organised, all we had to do was get to the airport on time! It was a packed itinery so not a moment was wasted. Our guide Tom was fantastic - friendly, extremely knowledgeable, great fun and always happy to help. The weather turned bad so he seamlessly switched to plan B (and plan C!) making sure we didn't miss out on anything and we made the most of every minute. Slovakia really is a beautiful place and I would highly recommend this adventure. You will have aching legs though 😂

What an amazing experience! Akis was both professional and a pleasure to hike with. I was nervous about the scrambling part of the trip but Akis was very assuring and knowing that he has tremendous experience guiding this hike gave me much more confidence. It was a successful trip!

Fantastic , not a single aspect would I change , definitely one of my favourite holidays ever !

Tour de Mount Blanc was a very memorable experience. I really enjoyed the 4 days and the group of people I shared it with. A really fun group and very supportive. Our guide Charles was so knowledgeable and a beautiful person inside and out ❤️one of the nicest places I have ever been. Barbara solo hiker

Very professional. Just a buzz right from the pick-up to the daily treks to the food and accomodation. Friendly and easy going guide and Team. This is my second trip with Skyhook , this time with family and friends and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
Absolutely brilliant. Already planning my next trek with them!

Our guides Chucky & Jed were excellent, really great local knowledge, well organised and some fantastic 'surprises' await you on this adventure. Action packed and excellent value for money. Highly recommend, will book again in future.

Trip was all I hoped for and more , totally tested my physical abilities, each day was surreal with breathtaking scenery around every corner, waking up in places that are so inaccessible by any other route except a long hard slog which made every day feel like an accomplishment, Our guide Lolette from Alps Adventure was just amazing , lol a native to these parts , therefore what she didn’t know probably about the alps wasn’t worth knowing 😁 , we were also fortunate enough to have a fantastic spell of hot sunny weather , all this added up to one the best experiences ever , I’m already looking into what I can book next

Amazing trip. Right from the start it was well organised and I felt safe and reassured. If you’re looking for an authentic ‘no frills’ hiking trip, with breath taking views of the Mont Blanc region, which will leave you simply speechless then this is for you.
if you want challenging hikes which will test you and great banter along the way. then this is for you.

What a fantastic trip! I was a bit apprehensive as a solo traveller, especially when I found out that I was the only person booked on the trip!! I was instantly made to feel welcome when I was collected at the airport and taken to Imlil. The riad was cosy, with plenty of food and great location to explore the village. My guide was Mr Lahcen who was fantastic. Very welcoming and so easy to talk with (great English). He shared his knowledge and expertise. We managed to get to Base camp quite quickly, so he suggested pushing on to the summit in one day! It was exhausting but his motivation and confidence he got us there. Once back at base camp food was plentiful but sleep was terrible due to groups getting up at different times to summit. I.e. 2am,3am and sleeping arrangements being on shared sleeping platforms. It sort of makes part of the experience but it’s not fun. The whole return to Imlil and subsequent trip back to Marrakech were great. Mr Lahcen was an excellent host and guide, who made every effort to ensure I had a fun, safe and memorable trip. I would certainly recommend the trip but emphasise that Toubkal is challenging. An amazing sense of achievement once completed. The people of Imlil are very welcoming and it’s worth taking time to explore. I added a day in Marrakech which I would recommend rather than fly back home!!

The trip was great despite the rain. Matty skills to read the group how to keep us together plus seeing my panic on starting Lochness and budding up the canoe to reassure me. Organization at camp was clockwork with hot water and food on the go literally as we landed. Food amazing.

I’ve just got back from canoeing the Caledonian Canal and wild camping. I loved it. I just could never imagine that I could have done such an exciting challenging thing. Matt , our guide was so experienced and made me feel at ease with any of the challenges that paddling the lochs bought. Great fun . I will remember that holiday forever. It’s given me the bug to do more group holidays by myself ❤️🛶🛶

This trip is truly amazing, a mix of Loch, river and sea. Our guides Chuck and Liz worked really hard to ensure everyone was catered for, from food to physical ability.
There's so much to see and explore, calm Lochs, flowing rivers and choppy seas.
All campsites and break stops are stunning, and of course I won't forget the amazing people I shared it with.
Book this trip, you will not regret it and you definitely won't go hungry.

This truly was the trip of a lifetime in what has to be one of the most beautiful rivers on the planet. Kev inspired complete confidence in us and was knowledgeable, professional and a wonderful person (and a great chef). Our team bonded instantly and when things got tough or uncomfortable there was no moaning or despondency. This trip will stay in my memory forever and has really restored my faith in humanity. Keep adventuring and a massive thank you to all who were involved.

I booked the canoe across scotland trip with a bit of trepidation having never been in a canoe before. However it was one of the best holidays I've ever had! The group chat was helpful because we got to know a little about each other beforehand and were able to organise a meet up the night before. The guides, Robson and Elin, showed us how to pack our dry bags - the lesson being take as little as possible as you'll have to wear your dry bag while portaging the canoes past lock gates. Your dry bag is 60 litres and needs to hold your sleeping bag and camp mat plus all your gear. You also get a little dry bag which can hold your camera, sun cream, waterproof etc. We were incredibly lucky with weather in that we had beautiful sunshine all week, it only rained once overnight, and the scenery and tranquility were stunning. It was an amazing switch off from tech reset. When we got to the bottom of Loch Ness the wind had got up and was against us which made the next couple of days challenging and adrenaline fuelled and in fact we didn't get to the top of the Loch but Robson and Elin were brilliant at keeping us safe and making decisions about what to do based on the group's ability which included backtracking a couple of times to reach camping spots safely. Our group gelled quickly and everyone was willing to help anyone who was struggling. Faster ones always waited for slower ones. Wild camping was beautiful but we definitely needed our midge nets. A couple of us got tick bites too. There was always a tree available for a wild wee and when we camped we put up a toilet tent with a fairly basic bucket and bag system for no. 2s. Food and snacks were plentiful and delicious. My favourite meal was the enormous plate of haggis with whisky gravy. Robson and Elin cooked while we put up our tents which felt like a real luxury. I can't thank them enough and the rest of the group for making the week incredibly special and a trip I will remember for the rest of my life.

Had a lovely few days camping and canoeing across Scotland. As a total beginner at both of these I was very impressed with how effortlessly our guide Matt brought the whole group together. It was a really great trip, I can hardly believe I’ve done it, it was hard work but the views were stunning, the group were fun, the food was plentiful (perhaps a tad short on marshmallows…) and the kettle was always hot - a perfect trip.

I had an amazing experience on the Canoe Across Scotland trip. Sam was an outstanding guide throughout the entire journey: clear, knowledgeable, supportive, and always focused on the group's safety and enjoyment.

His instructions were easy to follow, and even if I'd never been in a canoe before, I would have felt confident and well prepared. He did a fantastic job of teaching skills, managing the group, and mitigating risks while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable.

The group itself was also great, everyone was friendly, supportive, and fun to spend time with over the five days.

I did have one issue with my sleeping mat not inflating properly, but Sam quickly arranged for a replacement to be brought by the support driver, which was incredibly helpful and meant the problem was resolved with minimal disruption.

The scenery throughout the trip was unforgettable, and there was something incredibly rewarding about crossing Scotland under your own power over five days. It was a genuine challenge at times, but one that left me with a huge sense of achievement. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for adventure, beautiful landscapes, and a memorable experience.
