This was the worst experience of my life.
We ordered the 1st skylight. Arrived in good time within 48 hrs. Once fitted, there was a 7 inch mark on the glass. It wasn't on the outside or inside and turned out to be adhesive dropped inside the glass during manufacture. I called to complain, to be told they were waiting for a container delivery. I waited 10 days for the replacement to arrive all the while my builders were struggling to progress the renovation. I was assured the glass is always quality checked before dispatch. When the 2nd glass arrived, my builder sent me photos of 12 marks, scratches and chips on the glass. Both the courier Clintopia and skylights-rooflights blamed each other for the shocking condition of the glass. The 3rd one arrived a further 5 days later. Again this glass had black glue stuck in-between the panes of glass on the inside, another manufacturing defect. Quality control is non- existent. I would never order again. When I called to request a refund there wasn't much of an apology, no offer of compensation at all. I received the refund within 3 working days. But we lost 3 weeks of time on our renovation project, lost wages for my builders and a lot of added unnecessary stress due to this shambolic state of affairs! Truly unacceptable and no way to look after paying customers.
We ended up ordering from Cambridge Skylights... Separate review for them and I have to say best company I ever dealt with... Period! So order from Cambridge.

Excellent service and kept up-to-date on delivery

I had a disappointing experience with Skylight Services. Although they completed a skylight flashing kit replacement for our neighbor properly, our own skylight began leaking after about six months. When we contacted them for repairs, they refused to help, claiming no warranty and that they do not handle repairs. We spent £375, and the installation was rushed, taking only about 20 minutes. This lack of follow-up and poor customer service made the experience very frustrating. I would not recommend them.

I can’t praise Skylights.co.uk enough. I’d originally ordered the same skylight units from another supplier back in August, who repeatedly assured me they would deliver on a specific date. When the day came, nothing arrived - and it turned out they hadn’t properly checked stock or confirmed that delivery was actually possible. For anyone managing a building project, that’s a major issue.

On Tuesday morning, I contacted Skylights.co.uk to ask whether they could genuinely supply and deliver the same skylights to Edinburgh the very next day. They couldn’t have been more helpful - they double-checked that the units were in stock and confirmed with their courier that next-day delivery was possible. I placed my order at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, and by 12 noon on Wednesday the skylights were delivered exactly as promised.

Their communication, reliability, and attention to detail were exceptional. Thanks to them, my project stayed perfectly on track - even my builders were amazed that I managed to get the skylights delivered so quickly after the previous setback. Skylights.co.uk really pulled out all the stops, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

The Roof-lights arrived on the delivery day as advised, the delivery driver was very helpful.My 2 Roof-lights are excellent quality and look so sleek. My builder was amazed how simple they were to fit, with clear instructions, we had one query about the fitting and the company answered my email within 20minutes with the answer. Perfect finish to our extension. Would 100% recommend this company.
