The Slate Workshop Reviews

We were able to agree and fine tune the design and have received a beautiful, sturdy and well crafted slate sign which we are very happy with

Wow! From design to delivery in a little over one week.

An absolutely beautiful handcrafted Welsh Slate house & number plaque which I shall very proudly affix on the front of our home. Great value as well.

The very best customer service by Ben and delivery by APC. 100% delighted.

I contacted Ben on behalf of our company with regards to making a wall plaque. From start to finish the process was seamless and excellent. The plaque is beautiful and is exceptional value for money. We could not be more happier with the results. I would not hesitate in recommending Ben and his company.

So pleased with my beautiful slate number for my house. Fantastic craftsmanship and exactly what I asked for. It was delivered within a few days or ordering too, excellent communication from the Slate Workshop. I would highly recommend this fantastic business.

Ben was incredibly swift and clear in his communication throughout the job with us. Ben helped us design a fitting memorial tablet, providing us with useful advice on what would work. The tablet was beautiful, exactly as we had hoped. The slate was beautiful and Ben's hand-carved script was stunning. It really makes a difference I think having this kind of memorial hand-made - you can really tell the difference and it looks unique. I would highly recommend The Slate Workshop.

I had some fairly specific and restrictive requirements for a memorial slate. Ben had an excellent 'can do' attitude and gave clear and helpful advice on what he could do and still achieve a high quality finish. He was happy to help with refining details and the final product is beautifully made and exactly what I asked for. Will certainly be back in the future.

Amazing quality, Ben was very professional and had excellent communication. Sign was done quickly to a high standard. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase. You won’t be able to beat this quality.
Amazing workmanship would highly recommend.

We wanted something simple and stylish for our house number. I found Ben and sent the request. H e quickly replied and within a very short time, we have our new number and it is indeed simple and stylish and beautiful. I cannot recommend highly enough. And no more expensive than any supplier, but exactly, and I mean exactly, what we wanted. Thank you!

Got in touch with Ben to make a bespoke anniversary slate plaque. He responded quickly and understood exactly what was required. Within a week the plaque arrived and was perfect. Beautifully made and great craftsmanship. Thanks Ben and the slate workshop.

If you're looking for good quality, nice slate then look no further - Ben is your man!
I wasn't the easiest of customers due to changing my mind so often, but Ben was polite and accommodating the whole way through.
He went out of his way, and the extra mile to make sure I was happy, he provided us a lovely Slate hearth that he had cut and chamfered beautifully. I would highly recommend Ben, and will definitely be using him and his services again!

I emailed an enquiry on Sunday evening and got an immediate response. In less than an hour we had agreed on design and price. It was delivered by the following Friday - exactly what I wanted.

Messaged Ben through his Facebook page on Monday evening, by the Thursday morning I had the house sign in my hands. Excellent customer service, great value, quick delivery times, and very well packaged to avoid damage in transit. Don't think you can ask for much more! Will 100% recommend

Ben was great throughout and responded quickly to a tentative enquiry for a triangular house sign. He drafted multiple versions of our idea before we settled on the final design. Delivered well wrapped to avoid damage. Very pleased we found The Slate Workshop, thank you Ben. mia x

My wife and I found a local supplier on the internet and got in touch by telephone, makeing an appointment to visit his premisses and view his work.
We were made very welcome and shown around his workshop and were very impressed with the range and quality of his work. We were assured that a pre production set of images would be forwarded that evening with a range of ideas for confirmation.
The Name Plate was ready for collection within 7 days and are very happy with the finish.
We recommend the Slate Workshop for quality work, quick turnaround and a local friendly supplier.

The Slate Workshop was recommended to me, and I'm so pleased we now know about them,
My company needed a personalised slate plaque to be made for winners of a competition.
Ben was so helpful from the very start. He took our suggestions on-board and came up with ideas to improve it.
He was able to produce the plaque well within our timescales and arrange the delivery.
He kept us informed along the way, send us images of any changes that needed to be made and offered different options for hanging/displaying the finished item.
The recipients were absolutely delighted with it, and we now have a great company who we will call on to produce items for us in the future.
Great service and great quality products from a trusted local company - what more could you ask for?!

Ordered a house sign for our cottage. Could not be happier. It is great quality and everything I hoped for. Arrived very promptly once my order had been confirmed
