When your life insurance policy is paid out, it would normally go through probate and, if it goes into you legal estate, may be subject to inheritance tax. By putting your life insurance policy into trust, the money will be paid directly to the beneficiaries which usually avoids the probate process and IHT calculation.

my experience was a good one. . . . . No doubt the mannie I spoke to was…
No doubt the mannie I spoke to was working to/from a script ( at my age, all illusions about 'niceness' were destroyed many years ago)
But it matters not, he was friendly and chatty and my 'experience' was a good one, everything was carried out with aplomb and was done in a friendly voice, no false starts, no errors (on his part), and was carried out quickly and efficiently.🙂.

Had great conversation with Kai, very friendly and polite, was patient when I kept asking if he could repeat himself because my 4yo was shouting in my ear, (I would have got annoyed after being asked twice 🤣). Great experience.
