Had an impecable experience with the company and their staff so far. Expecting delivery of the sauna room this week after which I will post another review hopefully positive in regard to the its quality.

I purchased a steamer and it’s a wonderful product. Very much pleased with the customer service. They are very helpful. Overall I’m a very satisfied and a happy customer.

Order process was very easy. The company accommodated my schedule on delivery because I was going away and made sure I received sauna prior to my departure. Delivery was great and packaged perfectly. No damage. Installation was a breeze. I had a defective breaker and both company and myself thought it was a unit problem. They worked with me until I fixed the breaker. The only negative is the time zone issue, but we worked through that with evening phone calls and emails. I have used the sauna twice now and I’m very pleased.

Good customer support. Shipment took some time because it was to Hawaii. They are quick to send replacement parts if something is broken.

They have been very responsive whenever we needed technical support or a replacement part. The sauna looks great.

Purchased a Smartmak® Luxury Traditional Steam Sauna Room. We love it. Make sure to purchase the assembly, as it's not easy but once set up it's a fantastic addition to your home. We love ours. Beautiful wood, and aesthetics. They shipped us a new remote and another bag of rocks no charge. Much appreciated.

The product and customer service has exceeded my expectations, excellent sauna

I purchased a three person sauna for my husband but I lost the remote to operate the led lights. I called in for support and they quickly shipped out a new remote for me at no charge. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the sauna and the service and support was amazing! 5star!

I had a power issue develop with an older model and the team at Smartmak helped me right away to solve the problem. They even shipped me the replacement parts for free and got my Sauna back up and running again just like new. I couldn’t be happier with the product the service was out of this world. Thanks again for quick turnaround and friendly help.

We bought a box sauna from Smartmak and we absolutely love it. James Mak communicates very well and responds to questions quickly. He's also very customer oriented. The product is absolutely stunning and arrived just as promised. It's been a fantastic addition to our property, so much so that I took a picture, shared with James and now the picture is displayed on the website! We'd highly recommend this company and product.

I recently had the opportunity to purchase an outdoor sauna from James’s business. While the experience had its ups and downs, I believe it's worth sharing the full picture with prospective customers:

The outdoor sauna we received has a decent build quality, but it wasn’t without its issues. The model we ordered seemed not to be perfectly watertight, which was a significant concern. After noticing this, we had to go back and forth with the manufacturer to find a solution. However, once the issues were addressed, the sauna performed well and provided a pleasant experience. James was responsive and professional throughout the entire process. He was always available to answer questions and provide guidance, which was particularly helpful when we encountered problems with the sauna. If lengthy waits and potential issues with watertightness are not a concern for you, this more affordable unit could be a good choice. The sauna has since become a valued addition to our home, providing a relaxing space to unwind.

I purchased the sauna September 2022.. however, do to space didn't open the box until March 2024. I wished I had opened it sooner..My daughter and I love it! Great investment. We've experienced sauna treatments for $45 a visit years before so this portable sauna has paid for itself. Had a minor mechanical issue with the remote control but James was very helpful in helping me solve the issue. Sauna is working again!!! Would definitely buy again if need be.

Terrific experience. No issues with the shipping company, the product, packaging, or the quality of the sauna. Would recommend this company anytime!

The Sauna is fantastic, it is easy to operate, and heats up quite fast, it is east maintain and keep clean, only draw back was the construction instructions needed to be more helpful, took me a while to figure out how to set it up!

I originally bought my portable sauna in 2022. Everything worked great and I was so pleased with having my own at-home sauna. Well I did something to damage the steam pot. I wont say what I did because when I reached out to the seller to inquire about warranty repair or replacement, they didn't ask what caused the damage. James Mak answered my inquiry with a few questions. He asked, When did I order, What was the order number, what was my shipping address? With these questions, Mr. Mack informed me that my replacement was in the mail and would arrive shortly. The replacement steam pot arrived very soon just as stated by the vendor. Smartmakshop.com exceeded my expectations with product support and customer service. The sauna has tremendously improved my quality of life and I recommend this company for its superior products but also for their customer service and product support. I am a highly satisfied customer and would choose this company first over other companies offering similar products. Thanks again SmartMakShop!

Company lies and falsely advertises Electrical certifications on Saunas. BEFORE buying, notice their Saunas don't have model numbers (this is important) but under details will FALSELY list all their products are certified example: (CE/ISO9001/SASO/ROHS/ETL etc) . The company appears to operate under multiple online storefronts (examples saunasnet.com & smartmakshop.com etc) however one name shows up in all online reviews, "James Mak" which appears to be fake). I requested via e-mail for ETL certification of the sauna I bought (which stated it was ETL certified). James Mak responded, said my sauna doesn't come with ETL certification, I need to pay $500 more. After days or back and forth emails, they eventually provided an ETL certification from SmartMak -*** BUT the certificate references specific SmartMak Model numbers***. I then asked the important question, what is the Model Number of sauna that I bought, they literally provided a Model number from a portal $100+ sauna (the one buy on amazon that folds up), not the $5,000 red cedar wet sauna. I asked them if that was a mistake, they ignored the question.

I spent weeks trying to get resolution, I couldn't tell they were acting in good faith. I reported them to my credit card company and they offered a full refund saying they have other customers that want this sauna (even though it was still in China (4 weeks after I bought it)).

It appears smartmakshop.com / saunasnet.com are not SmartMak (the real company), they are resellers who take multiple orders hold money for 2-4 months, then order from SmartMak, and then maybe deliver it to you if you wait long enough.

I suggest to hold them accountable and prevent this business practice is to sue and file complaints.
They wasted over a month of my time, had almost $5,000 of my money and performed no service. I am buying a like and kind sauna and suing them for the difference, I bought during Black Friday, could have bought similar saunas for the same price, now all the prices are higher.

In addition, I am filing complaints with my home state, state of California and with federal agencies. Companies should not be falsely providing uncertified products in the US, this company should not be operating in the United States falsely selling ETL certified saunas across state lines.
