You called it a daunting prospect, and that is how most people feel before they start. It is usually the reason a will gets postponed for years.
There are a few moving parts: choosing the right registry, coordinating the drafting with our partner law firm, the accredited Arabic translation, then the government submission. You should not have to work all of that out on your own, so we explain each step before it happens and keep you posted while it moves.

Your point about asking in advance is fair. Our process is strongest on the civil route, which is the side you found us up to date on.
When someone wants their will handled inside the Sharia framework, that sits outside what we do, and we should say so at the start and point them to a specialist.
On the timeline, you are right that it takes a while. Some steps run on the registry's own schedule, so we try to make sure you always know where things stand while it moves.

I was a bit skeptical when I initially started the process. I wasn’t sure how an ad I saw on Insta was authentic. So I did a little background check. The drafting with our partner law firm, the certified translation, the submission, then the appointment with the government. None of that should reach you as complexity, and carrying it so it does not is the entire job. You went through the whole process from Qatar, without setting foot in a UAE office. I'm an investor and honestly I had no idea a UAE will was something I needed to register until I came across one of SmartWills' videos online. That alone got me curious enough to book a call.
Once we started, the team didn't make me chase anything. When I had specific questions on some of the more complex assets I owned at the time, a vessel among others, they offered to jump on additional video calls beyond what we'd scheduled, just to walk through the implications properly. No hourly fees, no friction. They genuinely went out of their way.
Whole thing was done in a fraction of the time I'd expected. For someone with limited time and assets that don't sit neatly inside a standard template, this is exactly what's needed.
