From the outset, my experience was disappointing. The initial contact to book a quote visit was extremely poor. The sales representative seemed to be in a hurry and did not take the time to address my needs or discuss my project in detail. I was informed that a quote would only be provided if all homeowners were present, which I found quite unreasonable.

On the day of the quote visit, one of the homeowners was unavailable, and as a result, the sales representative insisted that no quote would be provided. This lack of flexibility and consideration for the customer is concerning. All I required was some basic costing to determine if the project was worth progressing, yet it seems there was no effort made to accommodate this request.

Given these experiences, I am left with the impression that there may be significant issues in dealing with your organization moving forward. I hope you take this feedback constructively to improve your customer service and processes.

Great process from start to finish. Roof and plastering of high quality and have made it a room to use all year round. Co-ordinated really ensured communications were brilliant. Would highly recommend.

Happy enough with the build, but 14 months later, despite many emails and phone calls, we still don't have our building regs certificate which we were promised would take 12 weeks max. The building inspector was eventually sent out after 11 months (confused as to why the work had taken place so long ago), but 2/3 months after that, still no certificate.

When considering companies to carry out home improvements for Windows/Doors/Conservatories there are several factors to think about.
Value - Reputable company - Honest reviews - Guarantee's- Employed fitters ( Not contractors) and the whole customer journey.
This is where SolarFrame set the standard.
I contacted 3 reputable companies, SolarFrame got back to me prompt the following day at 9am to book a call in with their home consultant Saj, where the other two companies took 3 to 4 days, this was a big tick for Solarframe from the outset.
I would like to share my well deserved customer experience to all new SolarFrame prospects thinking of engaging a true reputable company that delivers on its promise.
Within a week i had a visit from Saj the local home design consultant for the East Midlands. Saj was such a lovely guy, absolutely no pressure sales what so ever, no false quotes and heavy discounting to get the deal done that day. Very knowledgeable and great honest recommendations. Saj supplied great literature and samples of choice and delivered SolarFrames unique customer promise.
The price i received was an honest price in my opinion, as i was not looking for cheap, that's where quality gets compromised and no after sales back up from past experience, it felt right and in line with my budget expectations.
After deciding to give Saj the order and deposit which i received a guarantee by e mail next morning was followed up by a call from SolarFrame's in house team to book a date for a surveyor visit. (Booked)
At that time i was also introduced to Conner the installations manager who would be looking after our installation and the team of fitters.
Following the survey, i received a call from Conner to book in the fitting date (23/1/2026).
Morning of the 23rd The fitters Jordan & Ben arrived prompt and on time. Such lovely guys. Jordan instantly talked me through what he was going to do by each stage as we were having windows & large sliding doors fitted. Jordan checked in with me at every stage to check i was happy.
I must commend these fitters they had a great can do attitude and nothing was too much trouble, attention to detail was second to none, taking their time and making sure the finishing was of high standard.
Jordan & Ben cleaned up the installation really well and removed all rubbish and old units to a standard you would have thought they had not been on site. Employed fitters by SolarFrame and delivered the constant customer experience throughout the installation. I have had many fitters over the years in many houses but none as particular as Jordan & Ben.👌.Jordan & Ben finished later than expected in the dark and cold, but just got on with it.
The next day i received a call from Conner to see if i was happy with the installation and to pay the final balance. The same day i received paid in full invoice with a pack including all guarantee's etc.
In summary!
In this day of age you would have to go a long way to find companies that deliver what i call 'world class customer service from all the SolarFrame team involved on my installation.
The communication was seamless from the very first call, including all documentation throughout the installation to payment.
I will be contacting SolarFrame again soon for phase two of my home improvements.

Roof looks great, seemless and professional, tidy job

We've recently had several windows and our back door replaced by Solar Frame (job 11560). The windows included a variety- some small, some large, some triple glazed, and two different patterns of obscured glass. They all look amazing and we've noticed an improvement in heat retention immediately. The sales and fitting teams were lovely. I was particularly impressed that the team of two fitters managed to do 5 windows and a door from start to finish in a day. They made minimal mess and cleaned up before they left. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Quick professional and leaves everything tidy

We had a single story extension done by SolarFrame. It involved taking out the wall at the back of the house and a dividing wall inside the house. This would open up a large kitchen/ entertaining space. Where we went wrong was not having every last detail in writing on the contract and trusting that when the rep said oh yes we can do that for you, that wasn’t actually the case.

We were expecting that they would plaster the whole space, not just the new bits. We ended up agreeing to extra work with the plasterer, £400 for 2 nine feet walls.

SF knew we were putting a kitchen in part of this large room and they asked for an electrical plan to help the electrician place his wires. I sent this and was told this was perfect, thank you. We were down for 12 sockets. No where did it say what type of socket and placing of sockets, just that they would do 12 sockets. They knew there was an island from the electrical plan and that there were sockets on there. The electrician arrived and started work following the plan. He looked at the boiler ( which had already been passed as ok by the rep and the surveyor) and advised us that it needed upgrading in order for us to get a certificate for the work done. That cost us a further £600. He proceeded to do the wiring and he did put in one higher voltage wire to a hob before SF realised he was putting wires in that they felt weren’t part of the contract. He then only continued with the wiring that SF allowed. This left us with no high voltage wires to feed the oven and microwave. We fought this and they admitted that it was an oversight and they should have made it clear that they were only supplying basic sockets and they were sorry. This is appalling. They also refused to channel the wires into the floor to the island.
When we did have issues that they couldn’t back away from they did everything in their power to try and resolve them as cheaply as possible.
The brickwork was sodden from heavy rain before the roof was put on but that didn’t stop them boarding and plastering a week later. That can’t be right.
We were told that this would be a room we could use all year round but so far we have found the room to be freezing. We’ve turned the heating up but the rest of the house feels like a sauna but it’s still cold in the extension. We asked for bigger radiators than required but I do wonder if either the calculation was wrong or the insulation isn’t as good as they sell it. Will be interesting to see how hot it gets in the summer.
We have made it into a lovely looking room but the journey there has been very stressful because of SF’s attitude.
If you do choose SF to do your extension don’t sign any contract until you have really mulled over it and it says exactly what you want. Every last detail. Really push for extra heating as it will be cold just like an old fashioned conservatory. All the plumbers, electricians and builders are subcontracted and they are have a very precise list of what they are doing and they won’t budge from the list.
It has cost us an extra £1800 for unforeseen extras.
We are still waiting for paperwork, building regs, electrical certificates, guarantee etc.

Our new insulated tiled conservatory roof is fantastic its transformed the room into a beautiful living space. We had Julia as our coordinator and the whole process went smoothly. The work was carried out efficiently cleanly with quality products.

We decided to replace our front door,bay window and seven windows in our home. We visitedSolarFrame display at Goldthorpe. We saw their products and arranged for someone to visit our hometo arrange a quote. We accepted the quote and a date was arranged for a detailed survey which was then carried out to agree type of product ,colour and type of glasss and fixtures.
We were then given a date, and Kat was appointed as our co-ordinator, as our point of contact.
On the date ageed our fitters were Mark and Steve, who were brilliant and professional. They informed us the order of work they would carry out the transformation. They treated our home with respect cleaning up as they worked.
The work was carried out in the time allocated.
We are delighted with the end result and can recommend SolarFrame as a company for there products and professional employees.

From the Design Consultant who advised us and helped us choose the right roof for our conservatory, through the various trades involved in the build, (those who constructed the roof, the plasterers, the electricians to the man responsible for ensuring everything was properly sealed and properly cleaned), we were really impressed with the way they worked. They were professional, friendly, respectful of our property and constantly hard working. We are very happy with the completed job, which has turned our ageing conservatory into a garden room that we can enjoy winter and summer.

We had our old polycarbonate conservatory roof replaced with a solid roof. To be honest we had a few hiccups along the way which delayed both the start date and caused the installation to overrun by a day. Having said that any problems were sorted out and the end result is fantastic. Jordan and Ben worked their socks off and Connor, our coordinator, was helpful and friendly despite my many questions.

We were looking for a company to take the stress away from us having to project manage converting our conservatory into an orangery, Solar frame were brilliant. From start to finish, quote to completion it was an enjoyable and stress free experience. Happy with the cost, workmen Mark & Steve were very professional and efficient, no mess, great job done and we love it. Thankyou to Kat our Co-Ordinator who helped the process go as smooth as possible.

From the day we visited the showroom village to the completion of our garden studio this company was first class.
The company came out to measure up and give us information on our options. We then had time to consider all the combinations and settled on our studio.
We agreed to the build and we were given a date in December.
On Monday the 8th we had two lorry’s with our studio turn up bang on time and Alan and Liam made a start in the rain. By Friday it was water tight and first fixed with the electrics ready for the plasterboard to go in.
Monday the plasterers arrived again on time boarded and skimmed the sparks second fixed and Friday we were complete.
We then had a visit from solar frame to check everything and fit the vent covers and sign off the build.
To say we are over the moon with everything this company has done is an understatement. Thank you very much to all involved can’t recommend them enough.

We had new windows fitted to our cottage. Good from start to finish, always keeping in touch to advise on progress of order to if we were happy with installation after day one.
The guys who installed the windows did a fantastic job, using a trim inside the window to match up to walls, left no mess about, took all old windows away.

What a fantastic experience we had with Solar Frame. We had a conservatory roof replacement and the job could not have gone better. All of the different trades men completed a wonderful job. Steve, Wayne, Dean, Dayne, Garry, Charles, Terry & mate and Kat was there on the end of a phone line to co-ordinate a fabulous job. Thank you all.

From the sales through to the fitting of the windows the whole experience has been outstanding. I would totally recommend the company.

Overall a positive experience. The room looks good now and glad to have it done. Only slight frustration was that the pipes for my radiator in the room were moved by solar frame from the original position which my plumber (separate to Solar Frame) had left them leading to pipework that does not look as good as it should have been.
