I am an independent record label owner who used SonoSuite's white-label distribution platform. Over a period from September 2023 to September 2024, SonoSuite's own automated system confirmed royalties totaling USD 22,482.94 owed to my label through 13 separate royalty notification emails. Despite these confirmations, not a single payment was made in over 25 months.

After months of follow-up through 142+ support tickets, their own Legal Manager confirmed in writing on March 24, 2026 that there was "no impediment whatsoever in paying." Just 6 days later, a different employee contradicted this, declared all royalties permanently withheld, closed my account, and removed my entire music catalogue from Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, TIDAL, and YouTube Music — all without my authorization or consent.

Their final settlement offer was USD 283.46, which is just 1.26% of the confirmed amount. They alleged fraud on 8 tracks but provided zero evidence despite repeated requests. I complied with every demand they made (credit notes, rectified invoices) and still received nothing.

I also filed a GDPR Article 15 data access request in January 2026. As of today (April 2026), over 80 days have passed with no response — far exceeding the legally mandated 30-day deadline.

I would strongly caution any artist or label considering SonoSuite, FreeMusicDistrib.com, or MusicDiffusion (which operate under the same parent company) to carefully evaluate the risks before entrusting your music catalogue and revenue to them.

El día 24 de marzo de 2026, recibimos comunicaciones de su equipo de Quality Control y Account Management en las que se nos informó, de manera unilateral, la terminación de la relación contractual, la activación del llamado “Sunset Protocol”, el bloqueo de acceso a la plataforma, la detención de la facturación y el cierre de tickets pendientes.

Lo más preocupante de esta situación no es únicamente la severidad de la medida, sino la forma en que fue comunicada.

En sus correos, SonoSuite hizo referencia general a las cláusulas 4, 7 y 9 de sus Términos de Servicio y utilizó expresiones amplias como “patrones de actividad irregular”, “actividad fraudulenta reiterada”, “múltiples reclamaciones” y “manipulación artificial de métricas”. Sin embargo, no identificó de manera concreta:

la causal exacta de terminación aplicada;
la obligación específica presuntamente incumplida;
los contenidos, artistas, UPC, ISRC o cuentas afectadas;
las fechas, reclamaciones, reportes o incidencias concretas;
ni la evidencia documental verificable que sustente tales afirmaciones.

Consideramos especialmente grave que se pretendan ejecutar medidas tan delicadas sin un nivel mínimo de individualización, trazabilidad y sustento documental.

Además, resulta contradictorio que una plataforma que afirma contar con procesos de control de calidad, revisión y validación de contenidos termine adoptando una decisión definitiva sin explicar cómo los supuestos contenidos cuestionados habrían sido previamente aprobados, procesados o mantenidos operativos dentro de su propia estructura.

Rechazamos las imputaciones genéricas no documentadas.
Exigimos la individualización completa de los hechos, la causal exacta invocada y la evidencia correspondiente.
Solicitamos la preservación íntegra de la información, reportes, saldos, historiales y regalías relacionadas con la cuenta y el catálogo.
Esperamos que cualquier actuación empresarial de esta naturaleza se maneje con transparencia, consistencia, respeto contractual y debido soporte documental.

Nuestra intención al hacer público este pronunciamiento no es generar confrontación innecesaria, sino dejar constancia de una situación que consideramos seria, desproporcionada y carente del nivel de claridad que una empresa tecnológica y de distribución musical debería garantizar a sus clientes y socios.

When you think it couldn't we worse, Sonosuite always find a way to go deeper in the bullshits. We can't say all the problems we faced last year and that happened to us by working with Sonosuite.

First: removal of YouTube Content ID and all our music catalog with no consideration for us and our clients.

Next all our clients ringtones removal with all our clients requesting us hundred and hundred refunds without, here again, any consideration from Sonosuite.

In February they implemented the verification process for all our clients, requesting them ID card and Live Photo that we do not even know where it endup ...(Hope RGPD won't come ask us nothing, as we do not know nothing about what is done from all this personal datas from our clients...)...

Finally, after removed our catalog in our back since months, without any notification or explanation, they recently started to take our users' money for them.... And we talk about thousands and thousands that we won't be able to pay our clients that already start to ask us about.

Unfortunately we can just be agree with all the other recent reviews from this page! Sonosuite isn't reliable anymore and put us in trouble with our clients. Our team is under depression facing all the issues we are in right now due of Sonosuite!

This company is turning bad. Don't pay on time and then find any excuses to not pay your confirmed earnings 🤮

SonoSuite holds the funds from the tenant while the above amount has been fully calculated and has been sent reports to the tenant who is my company. We have fulfilled our obligation to pay subscription fees, provide invoices to receive payment, as well as have completed the account closure process set by SonoSuite and have been confirmed by SonoSuite's Invoice team that the amount will be paid at the end of October. but when it due, SonoSuite did not pay, did not notify the tenant and when the tenant contacted, Sonosuite said that they were checking the number of violations because we were the tenant who had stopped working with Sonosuite. . This is a scam, unprofessional of a company that should have been.

Don't look to SonoSuite or any of the companies involved in SonoSuite's White-Label program if you're planning to grow your music career. If you live in the country where SonoSuite is based then give it a try (but I wouldn't recommend it either because there are thousands of companies that distribute better than SonoSuite), but if you're outside of that country, don't give it a try. You will have to face billions of problems with the workflow here.

Sonosuite is really a bullshit in the music industry, where the whole world is trying to bring music to a new peak. Sonosuite is not a reliable partner.

We have been working with SonoSuite now for around 4 years. They have been a trusted partner throughout this time. We have never had any issue with the service provided plus we have enjoyed growing our business along side theirs and will continue to do so.

I have worked with Sonosuite for almost 4 years now, the only complainants are those who didn't know how the system worked, it's a 100% royalties-free platform that I have ever worked with, giving you every month royalties statements from each DSP, paying you as fast as nothing matter, kindly it's only the configuration of the domain which makes consumers sees that difficult but learn before you judge.

Very bad distributor, they steal your royalties, just use distrokid or others, this company is a joke.

Their customer support is a complete joke. The support is taking days for every single response and is asking me the same questions multiple times because they are to incompetent to read! This company is going downhill fast. Do NOT ever work with them!

This company needs to disappear. I have been working as a music distributor with SonoSuite for more than a year now, and between the payment delays in royalties, them removing basic features from your plan, and the fact that if you want these features back you need to pay 100€ every month or upgrade your plan.

But they have gone too far when they implemented the 10€ fee per track when it's marked as fraudulent by Spotify. They are in charge of the QC, they approve the tracks, and don't take them down or just send us an email to inform us that this user is doing fraudulent activity on Spotify, and then they charge you after it.

My distribution service now has to pay around €1,000 this month for tracks that SonoSuite's QC approved and didn't inform me were shady.

They are professional thieves. If you want to open your music distribution company, go with Revelator, Eveara, or anything else but NEVER 'work' with SonoSuite.

These guys are so unprofessional, I'm selling my music distribution company and I pray for SonoSuite to go bankrupt.
