Disappointing experience with a faulty Panini Prizm box

I purchased a 2025-26 Panini Prizm FIFA Soccer Blaster Box from Sports Trading Cards UK and unfortunately the experience since discovering an issue has been really disappointing.

After opening the box, I opened three packs which were supposed to contain 4 cards per pack, only to find that all three contained 3 cards instead of 4.

I contacted Sports Trading Cards UK and was directed towards Panini to deal with the issue. Panini subsequently opened a Quality Assurance case and initially wanted the product sent to Texas, despite me being a UK customer who purchased the box from a UK retailer.

I raised the fact that I didn’t think I should have to pay international postage or be further out of pocket to resolve a manufacturing issue with a product I’d already paid for.

A prepaid return label was eventually provided, but unfortunately that hasn’t solved things either.

I’ve now taken the parcel to my local Post Office, tried a Royal Mail locker/drop-off and even travelled to the Royal Mail depot. The label/code isn’t recognised anywhere. I then contacted Royal Mail customer service directly and was told that the code doesn’t exist on their system and I would need to go back to the company for another label.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that I had already driven across town to a library specifically to get the return label printed, only to discover that it doesn’t work.

So what should have been a fairly simple issue — I bought a sealed box and the packs didn’t contain the advertised number of cards — has turned into multiple emails, phone calls, trips across town and attempts to return a product using a label that Royal Mail says isn’t valid.

I’ve now requested a valid QR return code so I don’t have to make another journey simply to print another label.

I’m hoping either Sports Trading Cards UK or Panini will see this and step in to properly resolve the situation. At this point, after the amount of time and inconvenience involved, I’d really appreciate the faulty box simply being replaced with a new box at no additional cost to me.

I collect these cards because I enjoy the hobby, so it’s a shame that what should have been an exciting purchase has turned into such a frustrating experience.

Hopefully someone from the company can reach out and finally get this sorted.
