S-Thetics Medical Aesthetic Clinic Reviews 

I have been visiting S-Thetics for a few years now having been recommended by a friend. An extremely professional clinic where they excel at customer service and patient journeys. I have been through a divorce and cancer treatment during my time with S-Thetics and Miss Sherina Balaratnam has supported me through these journeys, with a caring disposition and extremely positive results with my skin. Always looking at the bigger picture and using high tech devices to help me rebuild and get back to who I was with skin repairing and resurfacing. I will continue to visit as am delighted with the results.

I have been going to the clinic now since first opened. Sherina and all her staff are wonderful.

I have been a client of S-Thetics for almost 4 years now and I would definitely 100% recommend! in fact, I have sent a couple of my friends to the clinic. I came across it by word of mouth since I live in London and thus a bit far from me, but absolutely worth the trip. My first treatment at the clinic was botox (forehead and crows feet), and as i like to say every time to my ‘judgemental’ friends, botox basically saved my life! Around that time, I had some weird feeling around my face/neck lymph nodes and when I asked Sherina, she examined me (even though it was too far from botox area to be related) and discovered a strange nodule that, long story short, ended up being a Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (type of blood cancer) that all other doctors and GP had horribly missed. I am thankfully in remission now, but having fought the Big C twice, I have visited plenty of doctors in pretty much all specialties (yes, side effects suck) and i realised that what makes a great healthcare professional, whether that’s for aesthetic reasons or medical/functional, goes way beyond just being knowledgeable (that’s necessary but not sufficient! - as my economics professor would say..), but it comes down to how much they care, how much they listen and how much they make you feel safe. Sherina and everyone I came across with at the clinic are not just super knowledgeable, but they “tick all the boxes” and its definitely not just a job for her. You can have the best professor, researcher or doctor in the world, but I can say by experience, that if they lack passion and care, its unlikely to be helpful. Like I said, I have been a client for about 4 years, and even though there are plenty of places with “good” doctors where I could do botox in harley street way closer to my home, I would not change for the world because what sets Sherina apart is how safe she makes me feel.

In summer 2022, I felt like a fat, feeble failure; I was facing fifty and wondering whether I'd actually see sixty if I kept going the way I was. I started to make some changes, diet, exercise, baby steps. Then I was diagnosed with NAFLD (Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease) and prediabetes and I knew I needed some help beyond my own capabilities.

I'd already heard a lot about EMSculpt and seen the EMSculpt Neo launch at S-Thetics, a clinic I already knew very well, with a wonderful team that I fully trusted to take care of me. I contacted Miss Balaratnam and asked if she thought EMSculpt Neo could help me. We talked through the various options and settled on the ‘core to floor’ - a course of abs, flanks and glutes treatments on the EMSculpt Neo alongside pelvic floor treatments on the Emsella chair.

Over the next few weeks, the incredible team at S-Thetics put me at ease as the EMSculpt Neo machine put me through my paces. I quickly grew to love the combination of heat and rapid muscle contractions from the state-of-the-art equipment. I really loved the specially-shaped paddles for the flanks treatment. The S-Thetics team were careful to explain what everything did and answered the few questions I had in a very knowledgeable and easy to understand way.

Then, the first results day! I'd already felt a difference in how my clothes fitted, the niggling lower back pain I often woke up with had vanished, my anxiety about getting to the loo in time had diminished thanks to my stronger pelvic floor - but what would the tape measure say? Well, it agreed - I'd lost a fantastic five centimetres from my waist! No wonder my clothes were looser!

I booked in my maintenance treatment and three-month result session for October, not sure whether I could hope for yet more loss, especially without more treatments in the interim! The ongoing beauty of the EMSculpt Neo is that the fat burning continues for months after you've had the treatment though, which was very much in evidence in October - when Miss Balaratnam measured my waist, I'd lost another 2.5cm, bringing my waist measurement down by an amazing 7.5cm so far! Not only that, the photos showed my posture had improved dramatically, my midsection was more pulled in and up, elongated, my backside was more ‘tucked under’, even my bosom looked neater!

The icing on the cake? I got the results of my followup abdominal imaging scan, done a year after the first, and my liver is normal, with no sign of NAFLD.

To say I'm over the moon would be to understate it. I have no doubt that the EMSculpt Neo treatment contributed hugely to the reversal of my fatty liver. I would not hesitate to recommend the team at S-Thetics, led so capably by the remarkable Miss Balaratnam. They've certainly changed my life for the better and I'm now looking forward to fifty as a fitter, tighter, more fabulous me!

I’ve been visiting S-thetics for about 5 years now so have tried a range of treatments and a number of different therapists. In my opinion, having tried some of the London clinics and others locally, is that the practice is the best non surgical treatment clinic in the whole of the UK. The therapists are extremely knowledgeable and give great tailored advice and I would highly recommend them.
