A scam company do not use

They take your money and you don't receive your book. Don't answer any emails. Gone through my bank for a refund.

I placed an order yesterday for the book "Land by Maggie O'Farrell" as birthday gift. I never got a confirmation email.
The website is so poorly designed, it does not give me the option to "Create an Account", however, it expects me somehow to login into the account using username and password.
How can you enter a password to login when you have not created an account with a password in the first place?
I tried calling them several times but there does not seem to have been anyone manning the phone or do they have a customer service system?
I have never placed an order online that I did not get a confirmation email of my purchase. I cannot access my purchase or track for delivery. I have no electronic record of it except that the money has been taken from my bank account. I so wished I had read the reviews before placing my order.

AVOID!! I ordered 2 books - one e-book and another physical hardbody book. I recieved the confirmation email with ebook link, no issue, but the hard copy book never came. I’ve been back n forth in emails asking where is the other book, only to be told after 4 emails later, I ordered an ebook. I ask where’s the link and I hear nothing. Totally rubbish customer service, options for refund non-existent and they falsely advertise physical hard copy books, when clearly they don’t have them! Avoid them and go to other book sellers.

Like many others I ordered a hardback version of a book only to be sent a digital copy which I have left unopened. Have emailed the company several times AI style responses - telling me I had ordered a digital copy therefore cannot be refunded.

Same as everyone else here unfortunately. Absolute scammers. Ordered a hardcopy book which never arrived. Contacted them and was told I ordered a e-book, which also never arrived. Refusing to refund. I will be getting a charge back from my bank. It's only £7, but why should these thieves be allowed to keep my money.

Same experience as many. I ordered hardcover but they sent me digital and refused to refund me.

Thought I was ordering a book but as the other reviewers have said, I had no delivery window in the email and eventually emailed to ask when it would be delivered, to be told I had ordered an ebook. Nothing about the ordering page says it’s an ebook. So far I’ve only lost £7 from the order but also my address and card details are now known by this scam company. It’s a fake

I wish I’d looked at reviews first. I bought half price Land by Maggie O’Farrell about 4weeks ago & had absolutely nothing. Have tried emailing with no response & the phone number they say they are so happy for you to call for assistance gets you nowhere!! Complete Scan! 😤

Scam - ordered a hardcopy book - then when it did not arrive, I tried to call. Not able to speak to anyone with the number advertised- automated! Emailed, then was informed I had ordered a digital copy - I had not ordered a digital copy! And have to this day never received the "digital copy"

If zero stars were possible thats what I’d have given. I ordered a book which stated hardcover but received a download. I emailed them for a refund, they sent an AI reply stating there had been some confusion & I had ordered an ebook & they don’t give refunds for ebooks. I sent them a screenshot of the page which stated ‘hardcover’ & reminded them they had asked for a delivery address. I received exactly the same reply again, obviously automatically generated. I’m taking it up with my credit card company, I know it’s only £7 but it’s deceptive- avoid

My mum purchased a paperback book as a gift and they sent a "digital copy" instead. To buy an e-book you had to change the option to have one and she definitely didn't do that. I emailed the company and they replied saying there's nothing they would do about it. So be aware. And definitely make sure it's a paperback version that they're giving you! Or better still, don't buy from their website

As other reviews gave said this is a scam website and should be avoided. It looks legitimate and unfortunately I was fooled. I ordered a hardback book and sent a chaser email after a week of not hearing anything about dispatch. They replied saying I bought an e-book and they do not have hard copies, even though they are still selling them on the website. They have refused to give me a refund. I have reported the website via National Cyber Security and hope it is taken down.

A hard copy was ordered but only a download PDF was received. The company tried to blame me for making a mistake when ordering but I definitely did not. They refused to refund and then to respond to further emails.

I had exactly the same experience as the previous reviewers. I ordered a book, coincidentally Land by Maggie O'Farrell, and received an ebook, something I would never read. Their response was that I had ordered it and a refund was not possible. I will never order from them again and will stick with my usual trusted and efficient suppliers.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. As far as I was concerned I ordered a hard back copy of Land by Maggie O’Farrell. What I received was a download. Their advert & webpage are misleading.
I should have been suspicious as it was so much cheaper than Amazon etc.
Up date. I’ve just received a generic email reminding me that I had ordered a ebook - which I most certainly did not. This smacks of a scam.
Further update. Contacted them yet again only to receive another email telling me that I had DEFINITELY ordered an ebook which I most certainly did not. Have now contacted my credit card provider reporting this as a scam.

As others have said, ordered a physical book but was sent a pdf version of the book (not even a proper digital version). Tried to get a physical book or refund but without success.

Scam. UPDATE Worryingly when I raised the issue with my bank it appears my payment has been set up as a recurring payment. As per other review I bought Elizabeth Strout’s new novel All the things we never say. I clearly ordered the hard copy for £9 with free shipping. After a week I hadn’t received anything so emailed the company who said I had ordered an ebook and noted the ‘download’ link in my confirmation email. Avoid.

Avoid this company at all costs! Complete scammers!
I had a very similar experience to those who have ordered from Storybay.org (assume this is the same company). I ordered a hardback copy of Emily Strouts new novel - "The Things We Never Say" from their website and it quite clearly said "hardback" in the basket. After I had paid for it, I was sent a download link which was useless to me and definitely not what I ordered. When I contacted the company, they initially said I was entitled to a refund and then sent a subsequent e-mail denying this!
I have no hope of getting my money back or the book which I actually ordered.
