Stream2Sea was founded in 2015 after a dive trip to Palau made Autumn Blum, our CEO and a Cosmetic Chemist, realize that the products we put on our bodies can be highly toxic to our fragile aquatic ecosystem. Today, Stream2Sea has the only mineral based sunscreen on the planet that’s been tested and proven safer for freshwater fish, saltwater fish, and coral larvae, and has passed the stringent HEL Labs Protect Land + Sea certification. Stream2Sea is a woman-owned, veteran-operated company that manufactures all our products in our FDA-registered facility in rural central Florida, supporting USA jobs. Our Founder Autumn Blum is a cosmetic chemist, entrepreneur, and lifelong ocean advocate. A member of the Women Divers Hall of Fame, she has presented to the National Academies of Science, testified before the Senate, and played a key role in helping to ban toxic ingredients in Hawaii, the Florida Keys, the Virgin Islands, and beyond. As a Board of Advisors member for Reef Renewal USA, she actively supports coral restoration efforts. Driven by the belief that small changes can create big impacts, she encourages everyone to take personal responsibility in protecting our blue planet.
