I am currently experiencing a major issue with StreetLib regarding distribution to the Tolino network.

My books were published several weeks ago and are already live on Apple Books, which confirms that the files and metadata are correct.

However, none of my titles are available on Tolino partner stores, including Thalia, which is a key market for my German-language books.

I have contacted support multiple times over the past weeks and have not received a meaningful response or resolution—only automated replies.

This delay is directly affecting my ability to reach readers and generate sales in the German market.

At this point, I am simply asking for:
- A clear explanation of the issue
- Confirmation of whether my books were actually delivered to Tolino
- A timeline for resolution

I hope this review helps bring attention to the issue so it can be resolved promptly.

I am an editor with extensive experience in publishing, currently managing a substantial catalogue of titles for international distribution. As part of evaluating potential partners, I reached out to StreetLib with genuine interest in establishing a collaboration.

Before moving forward, I asked for clarification regarding concerns that have been circulating in professional forums and within the editorial community—specifically about alleged delays in royalty payments and outstanding financial obligations.

While the customer service team was consistently polite, responsive, and quick to reply (which I truly appreciated), I did not receive the clear and unequivocal reassurance I was looking for. My questions were straightforward: whether all payments to partners are fully up to date and whether the company is in a fully stable financial position. Unfortunately, the responses remained general and did not directly confirm this.

Because of this lack of full transparency on such a critical matter, I do not currently feel confident enough to proceed with a partnership.

That said, I want to emphasize that the support team handled the exchange professionally at all times. If StreetLib is able to provide clearer assurances in the future, I would be open to reconsidering.

Disponibilità, competenza, efficacia.

Il risultato è buono, il processo è farraginoso. Ad esempio, si compra un servizio e non si sa mai dove caricare i documenti per avviarlo: bisogna scrivere e aspettare una risposta. Vengono sempre fatti gli stessi (piccoli) errori durante il processo, che poi sono corretti con cortesia e disponibilità, ma che rallenta il tutto. Loro sono sempre molto disponibili, quindi il servizio è comunque consigliato.

Ringrazio lo staff per la professionalità e disponibilità. Rendersi conto che ci siano professionisti che decidano di venirti incontro oltre le loro mansioni, è molto importante. Aiutare chi non sia del mestiere. Grazie

Sconsiglio StreetLib agli autori indipendenti che cercano una distribuzione chiara. Al momento dell'upload, selezionando il piano Basic e l'opzione "Tutto il mondo", il sistema conferma la disponibilità della distribuzione globale senza segnalare alcuna restrizione per i principali store italiani.
Solo dopo la pubblicazione e dopo aver atteso settimane, si scopre tramite l'assistenza che per apparire su Amazon.it, IBS, Mondadori e La Feltrinelli è obbligatorio sottoscrivere un piano PRO da 99€ l'anno.
Trovo scorretto non informare l'utente PRIMA della pubblicazione. È una strategia per "intrappolare" l'opera e l'ISBN nel loro sistema per poi esigere un pagamento annuale sproporzionato per un singolo Ebook. Se volete vendere in Italia, sappiate che il piano "Basic" è di fatto inutile e le informazioni fornite dall'interfaccia sono ingannevoli.

Ecco la risposta di supporto: Desideriamo chiarire che IBS.it, Mondadori e La Feltrinelli ricevono i dati direttamente tramite Kobo, motivo per cui anche per la distribuzione su questi store è necessario avere un piano PRO.
Il piano Basic non consente la pubblicazione immediata su questi canali, anche se l’opzione “Tutto il mondo” è stata selezionata al momento dell’upload. Per garantire che il libro sia acquistabile sui principali store italiani, sarà quindi necessario passare al piano PRO.---- Questo è estorsione di denaro, lo vedo cosi.

My wife was initially open to working with StreetLib, and at the outset everything went smoothly. StreetLib responded promptly and provided all the necessary information, which created a positive first impression.

However, this changed suddenly when she received an email welcoming her to the StreetLib Pro Plan. The issue is that she never registered for such a plan on their website.

While this was disappointing in itself, the fact that it was an unsolicited message prompted me to look more closely into the company before my wife invested any money, trust, or effort with them.

By chance, I also came across someone who has been experiencing serious issues with StreetLib for several months, including not being paid a substantial amount of earned royalties. According to this person, there are several others in the same situation, and they are reportedly preparing to take legal action against StreetLib in Italy soon.

Taken together, these circumstances raise a legitimate concern as to whether StreetLib may be experiencing financial difficulties.

We would advise others to exercise caution. My wife and I will certainly not be collaborating with StreetLib.

Let’s go straight to the core:

1. I publish the same books with them and other aggregators. Their sales consistently showed less than $50 for over 300 titles while others showed over one thousand a month. Can the lie related to their royalties be more obvious?

2. When I complained about the rude behaviors of the employees, the same employees made me sign an agreement for every single title uploaded. Not only are they racist, and discriminate the authors based on name and location, they made me quit by adding steps to my publishing process.

3. Their platform is horrible and it takes forever for your books to get approved.

Tempi troppo lunghi per pubblicare un libro cartaceo anche a causa di una procedura adatta solo a chi ha la laurea in informatica.

Io ho un piccolo progetto nella realtà editoriale europea e non posso fare a meno di Streetlib non solo per la realizzazione di alcuni prodotti, ma anche per tutta la parte di distribuzione e di gestione. Per un imprenditore nel mondo dell'editoria, la piattaforma abbatte una gran parte di lavoro anche meramente gestionale. Ho trovato in StreetLib chiarezza e professionalità, risposte rapide e cortesi via e-mail. Un ottimo inizio.

La mia esperienza ancora non si è conclusa. Sono all'inizio della collaborazione con StreetLib. Però posso scrivere che ho trovato persone molto disponibili "dall'altra parte". Ad ogni mia richiesta in 48 ore massimo mi hanno risposto e chi mi ha risposto era una persona. Così, anche se tutto accade via internet, non si avverte l'assenza di "contatto".
Spero di poter integrare la recensione a lavoro ultimato.
