I lived in Heroísmo Coliving for 5 months. The room was furnished as shown on the website, and the overall living conditions in the apartment were decent.
On the downside, communication with the owner was very poor. We had to wait over 3 months to change kitchen equipment such as a frying pan. Additionally, at the beginning there were only two drying racks available for 13 residents. Although we eventually received more after requesting them, it took around 3 months for this to happen.
The cleaning service was also disappointing. The cleaner often did not respect our private space, rearranging personal belongings according to her own preferences. Moreover, many areas were frequently overlooked during cleaning.
On the positive side, I am very grateful to Student Room Flat. They supported me during an unfortunate accident, fully understood my situation, and allowed me to adjust our agreement in a way that worked in my favor.

I lived in the Market Apartment in Prague during my Erasmus and had a great experience. The booking and communication with landlords was super easy and the flat is in a perfect location to explore the city! We got help quickly when there were issues in the house and I received my deposit on time.

I lived in Prague for 3 months, and I strongly advise anyone looking for housing here to think twice. It took them six months after my lease ended to return my deposit, and the entire experience was incredibly frustrating.
The living conditions were far from ideal—the Wi-Fi was non-functional for the duration of my stay, and despite multiple reports, it was never repaired. Many other fixtures in the flat were also in very poor condition. To make matters worse, half a year after I moved out, they insisted on deducting 3,500 CZK for "wall repainting." These marks were already there when I moved in, and I have timestamped photos to prove it. I contacted them immediately for help, but unfortunately, despite being aware of the situation, they seemed to overlook the issue and failed to intervene in this unjustified deduction by the landlord.
The contract clearly states that any damage must be reported within 15 days of move-out, yet they waited six months to claim this fee without providing any official invoices. If you don’t want to spend months struggling to get your money back from an unresponsive landlord and a platform that fails to protect its tenants' interests, I suggest looking elsewhere.

RUINED MY ERASMUS
The absolute worst experience I have ever had with a service. Spent 4 months living without hot water, black mold in my room that made me have to get medical help, no internet whatsoever in the room, broken appliances, leaks everywhere in the house (it was basically raining inside) and little to NO help from anyone. I had to stay in an airbnb for the last month because it was absolutely unlivable.
Don't be fooled, the owners of the house are the CEOs of Student Room Flat, which means they have no interest in helping you, only in taking advantage of students. They ignored most of our complaints and requests and tried blaming us for most of them.
I started negotiating ending the contract early because of the amount of unresloved issues in my room. They proceeded to deny these issues multiple times in spite of the photos and videos I continually sent. I spent over a month emailing the owner over and over trying to reach an agreement, only to receive very rude and dismissing responses everytime. I even had to resort to a lawyer to email her, who she proceeded to ignore.
I lived in CAMILO CO-LIVING with almost 20 roommates, most of them had similar experiences to mine. The house is very old, full of mold everywhere, broken and leaking and with strong structural damage. They claim to have fixed it, I think it should be demolished.
I can confidently say that Student Room Flat ruined my erasmus, a very big part of my time was worrying about dealing with them, living with the mold or trying to find a place to have a hot shower. Don't be fooled by the years old videos they post on instagram, where they delete or deactivate the comments.
Absolute scam. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I had a pretty good experience in Porto with StudentRoomFlat. My shared apartment in Barros Lima was renovated and had heating, which was really nice given the weather in the city. A cleaning lady came every week. The only negative point for me was the laundry room, as there was only one dryer for the entire building and nowhere to hang laundry outside or inside. I had to pay several times the dryer at a laundromat to get my clothes dry (the air is very humid in Porto in winter). Other than that, I would like to point out that their representative, Andréas, was very responsive and attentive to my requests. Thank you to him :)

I stayed in this property for several months, and unfortunately the experience was consistently disappointing.
Essential services were unreliable throughout my stay.
Hot water was frequently unavailable or only lukewarm, often at random times of the day. Being told to “use another bathroom” in a shared house when hot water failed is not an acceptable solution for a long-term rental. This issue persisted despite repeated reports and “repairs.”
Internet was unusable for months.
The Wi-Fi in my room was extremely weak and unstable for a long period. Multiple technicians visited, and the issue was only resolved very late into the stay, after months of complaints. For students who rely on internet access for studying, this was a serious problem.
Misleading presentation.
The house does not reflect how it appears in photos. Facilities advertised as available (such as appliances) were often broken or unusable. The overall condition suggests long-term neglect rather than isolated incidents.
Management communication was dismissive and unprofessional.
When issues were raised, responses were often delayed or minimized. Instead of acknowledging the ongoing problems, I was told that “everything works” while simultaneously being informed that certain bathrooms were still not functioning properly. At one point, the suggestion was simply that I should leave if I wasn’t satisfied — not an appropriate response when tenants are asking for basic services to work.
Financial pressure instead of solutions.
Rather than addressing the problems proactively, management focused heavily on rent enforcement and penalties, even when essential services were not being delivered consistently. Requests for understanding or compensation were rejected outright.
Overall, this accommodation caused unnecessary stress during what should have been a focused academic period. I would strongly advise future tenants — especially students — to think carefully and ask very specific questions before committing.

They wouldn't fix anything, they pretended none of the issues were real, and they wouldn't let us leave, even if the conditions there were unlivable...
Pretty much scammers taking advantage of people.
While the room and apartment I rented were generally okay, they were in noticeably worse condition than shown in the pictures. The listing also stated that a cleaner comes weekly, but in reality, the cleaning was poorly done every time — as if no one had cleaned at all.
On top of that, I was charged an additional fee for check-in on May 1st, a public holiday, even though this was never mentioned before booking or payment. I was informed only after I had already paid, which is misleading and unprofessional. Had I known, I would have booked from May 2nd and saved money.
The biggest issue, however, is that my security deposit of 14,000 CZK has still not been returned nearly four months after the end of my lease — despite the contract clearly stating that it must be refunded within 60 days.
Although the landlord is formally responsible, the agency acted as the intermediary and handled both the contract and payments. They should have ensured everything was completed properly, yet all I’ve received are vague excuses and zero action.
