Thank you so much to Lucy who planned the most amazing honeymoon for us to Madagascar. She took time to learn about us and our ideas for our honeymoon, before planning the most incredible trip with less than 2 months’ notice.

Every part was so well organised with a great mix of adventure and honeymoon moments throughout. Our drivers, guides and the various accommodation staff all went above and beyond for us from start to finish. Madagascar was such an interesting and beautiful country to visit and we saw, experienced and learnt so much!

I would highly recommend Sundowner, and as someone who would usually plan trips myself, I wouldn’t hesitate to contact them now for help with future holidays!

We had a fantastic family holiday to Tanzania organized by Sundowner. We went with three generations, and did Safari, a few days at Zanzibar beach and a trip to Tanga to visit family. The team at Sundowner thought of every detail, and every part of the trip was flawlessly organized. Lucy was a pleasure to work with, and the team had excellent communication throughout. I would definitely recommend Sundowner, and am sure I’ll ask them to help us with future holidays!

The biggest thanks again to Sundowner and especially James for organising another amazing trip. This time it was two weeks in India with our 3 children. It was just fantastic. The whole itinerary ran so smoothly and the mix of hectic and relaxing was the perfect balance. The guides, the bus driver, the hotels chosen were all spot on. It really was superb! Tiger safari was definitely the best bit.

What an amazing trip to South Africa, Lucy organised a fabulous itinerary which catered for all the family. The highlight was seeing the ‘magnificent 7’ in Madikwe and the wonderful service at Jaci’s Lodge. Everything worked seamlessly including flights, car hire and transfers. Thank you !

We've just returned from a magical family holiday in Madagascar, with our lemur mad 9 year old son.

The holiday was carefully planned with James and his ever patient team before departure. He then handed us over into the super capable hands of his partner company in Madagascar who ensured that we had a magnificent holiday. From our driver Mana, to all the guides in the National Parks, to every place that we stayed, the experience was wonderful, with every little detail meticulously organised for us.

Madgascar is a place of exceptional beauty, with wildlife you'll see nowhere else in the world. If you're considering your own adventure, then we couldn't recommend James and the Sundowners team enough. We will certainly be booking with them again!

James O’Farrell provided exceptional personal service. Our original trip had to be cancelled due to Covid lockdown and James was incredibly helpful when we were originally booking and then rebooking the trip 3 years later providing numerous different options for flights and accommodation. He repeatedly tweaked the itinerary until we had our perfect trip. Sundowner have excellent local knowledge and James’s recommendations were spot on. All our accommodation was fantastic and all the transfers and excursions went smoothly.

From start to finish we were knew we were in good hands. Lucy was incredibly patient in coordinating an amazing trip to Borneo for our group of 13 - no mean feat. We enjoyed every aspect, from Kuala Lumpur to the Rainforest - ending with a fabulous 4 night stay on Gaya Island. Every transfer was seamless and the guides for the Rainforest boat safaris were brilliant. All of our group loved this trip (including the 5 teenagers) we would not hesitate to recommend Sundowners (credit to Lucy) for arranging this holiday of a lifetime. We even saw a baby orangutan - the stuff of dreams!

Sri Lanka was the second dream holiday Lucy has organised for us. (She created a magical holiday to Kenya last year too)

She totally understands the needs, likes and quirks of my family. Brilliant service from start to finish.

We had a minor issue at one hotel because they'd provided a "child bed" for my son who is over 6ft and were trying to force us to pay for an extra room for him... she sorted it within mins. Amazing service.

Had a fantastic holiday in Vietnam organised by Sundowners. Great service from start to finish. Jo put together a brilliant itinerary - we had an amazing time and can’t praise Sundowners enough. Truly a holiday to remember. Will definitely go back to Sundowners for future holidays.

Hannah provided the perfect itinerary for our honeymoon. Flights, transfers, accommodation and time in each location were exactly right and we had the best time.
We said to Hannah that we'd like to go to Kuala Lumpur, Borneo, Singapore & have some beach time too & she came up with a brilliant itinerary.
The flight times & transfers were really good, the hotels in KL & Singapore were both in great locations & our experiences in Borneo were incredible. The lodge at My Nature Reserve was wonderful, with a huge balcony looking out over the rainforest & a fantastic swimming pool. It's close to the Sepilok Orang Utan & Sun Bear rehab centres which meant that we were able to visit twice in one day & it was amazing. Edmundo arranged a night walk at the Rainforest Discovery Centre which was fabulous.
We stayed for three nights on the Kinabatangan river, one night at Abai & two in Sukau at the Riverside Lodge. The cruises were fantastic & the guides were amazing. The food at all three lodges was authentic and the staff were really friendly, helpful & polite.
Gaya Island Resort was out of this World, our Canopy Villa was truly luxurious & the resort has a beautiful beach at Tavajun Bay, a wonderful Spa & great restaurants.
We rounded our trip off in Singapore in another lovely hotel which was in a great location.

All was perfectly organised, and all staff we met has been great. In particular during our stay in My Nature Resort, Abai Jungle Lodge, and Kinabatang Riverside Lodge, all staff has been very attentive and gone the extra mile for us.
We are so happy with our unforgettable honeymoon and would recommend anyone to plan their holiday with Sundowner.

We had a fantastic holiday to South Africa and Mauritius booked by Sundowner. The travel arrangements were seamless, particularly the airport pick ups (which made us feel much safer). James put together a great holiday with bespoke hotels throughout. We particularly loved our safari experience which was off the beaten track and not something we could have organised ourselves. James has excellent local knowledge of Africa and is great at guiding and advising about locations. This is our second holiday with Sundowner and I would definitely use them again for a long haul adventure family holiday.

Couldn't ask for more from sundowners. Lucy helped me with a tailored itinerary for our honeymoon to tanzania and zanzibar. Everything was planned perfectly. When we wanted to add on excursions whilst we were out there Lucy was easily contactable and super helpful. Highly recommend these guys and will be booking with them again in the future.

This was an absolutely stunning holiday, amazing wildlife, knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic guides. The accommodation/lodges we stayed in were fantastic especially My Nature resort and Borneo Rainforest Resort.
Lucy and the team at Sundowner did an excellent job of tailor making this trip for us. The flights, transfers and individual guides we had were brilliant and timings were perfect with no hiccups. Had a fantastic time in Sri Lanka! Listened to what we wanted out of our honeymoon. The partnering company in Sri Lanka was fantastic and were able to accommodate for everything we wanted. Accommodation was great quality. Food in general everywhere was fantastic. Would be delighted to go on another trip!

Sundowner helped us plan our honeymoon to Borneo. They listened to exactly what we wanted to do and see and made us a tailor made trip and it was absolutely perfect. After months of research into building our own bucket list trip to Borneo, we decided to go through an agent to help us navigate the huge list of things we wanted to do. We had approached some of the better known companies and the trips sounded a bit generic. We came across Sundowner Holidays and after an initial phone consultation with Lucy (who sadly has subsequently moved on), we really felt that she knew what we wanted from the holiday. Everything from the initial phone call to all of the organised tours were fantastic. We couldn’t believe how slick the whole operation was, yet all tours were small and felt personal. Sundowner clearly have excellent links to the local tour companies in Borneo, who made our trip so special. We are well travelled, however the travel pack and itinerary we received prior to departure would put any traveller at ease if you were slightly overwhelmed about a trip to a foreign country. We would highly recommend Sundowner Holidays and we hope you have the same amazing experience that we did in Borneo. Thank you to the team - it was something we will never forget.
