They arranged for us face to face meeting for us as per our request to report our concerns which helped us to have a better understanding of the procedures and ID checks required were done directly.

Many things can, and do, happen when you are an executor selling a property. Including the fact that the initial buyer pulls out after many months and just when you are thinking that all is going well. Not to worry - Taunton Solicitors are there to help you quickly pick up the pieces and get going again with another interested purchaser. When you are not the owner of the property being sold it makes some things more difficult to answer, more complicated to research and more time to do it. We even had to register the property as this was the first time in fifty years that it came to the market. However I had guidance and a reassuring hand at every step of the way with prompt replies, clear guidance and detailed timescales. Very helpful from receptionists to top solicitors - will use again. In fact, I am, to register my own property!

My sister and I were Executors of parent/step father's will, we had two tricky properties to sell, made more tricky because one or other of us was outside UK at critical times. Taunton Solicitors have been with us all the way, helping us get two lots of probate and then seeing us through the conveyancing of the properties. Taunton solicitors acted on behalf of first time buyers in a recent house sale chain. They are awful. The poorest communication, didn’t keep to agreed timings, didn’t advise their own clients on what they needed and when. Everything was last minute and the completion was delayed 2 weeks with exchange 24 hours before completion. It made the entire process far more stressful than it ever should have been and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Ever.

My wife and I used Taunton Solicitors for conveyancing when selling our old property and buying a new one. My wife had given birth to our baby son, and so we wanted to get settled as quickly as possible.

We would recommend them for several reasons and we had a very good experience. They were easy to make contact with, both by email and by phone. We would always get a response the same day, often within only an hour or two. Neither of us were particularly familiar with the conveyancing process and they were helpful and patient with explanations. They were also fast. The solicitors representing the other buyer and seller were both very slow. But in contrast the team at Taunton Solicitors would get the work done quickly and always to agreed time scales.

Insist on cash only for signing of some documents. Surely this is a Tax dodge. Never heard of a solicitors wanting cash only for certain services .Thanks for reply from Taunton Solicitors. Given a full explanation, on why some services are tax exempt.
