Been with Ameritrade for years with no problem. But I just tried to put more money into my account and because of a glitch at my bank, the ACH transfer didn't go through. Ameritrade immediately locked down my account and has denied me access to my own positions and money. NO margin call or anything, they just froze everything for a week now. 5 phones calls and 8 emails from me hasn't resolved whatever the problem is? No one seems to know why and they continue to deny me access to my own money. They also removed my bank connection, which is my only means of transferring money. I'm beyond angry and would warn anyone to never use a ACH transfer or Ameritrade.. I know this isn't going to end well, its my life savings that they've stolen, and no one there could care less... I also can't sell option that were positive but are now losing money. I'm beyond angry.

Out of blue ask to transfer my account, closed positions and requested transfer out funds 7 days ago. Nothing happened, try to call with wait time +2 hours. No response to my e-mails. Unacceptable approach, terrible customer service, what the hell is going on?????

Officers or Staff of TD Ameritrade (Singapore) are one of the 'laziest' traders I have come across. They are not around most of the time when you need their services and even if they are, they are not friendly in their approach and services which makes me wonder in the first place, why are they there???

Occasional buggy TOS platform issue with server side, couldn't resolve issue with my ISP, no help was provided from CS. Only able to scout internet to self resolve.

During withdrawal request fund was deducted and then credited back, waited many days of nothing. No updates, no email from TD Singapore. Using this platform paid thousands of trading commission, and this is the kind of service I'm expecting. If this company continues to operate this way, no matter how cheap their commission structure is, customer won't be sticking with their brokerage platform due to their unreliability.

Avoid like hell. I had backup witholding on my account and have submitted all forms 7 months ago. And they kept telling me to wait. And when the new year kicked in, they finally processed my W8BEN form in the 2nd week of January and then tell me,
"OOps, cause your backup witholding was last year, we cant help you get your refund anymore. You need to apply to IRS through post and get your refund".
If they processed the refund any time within the 7 months of application in last year, they would be able to just return me the money in 5 days. They did it clearly on purpose. Broker from Hell.

totally unacceptable and horrible customer service. Ive put in my registration for a new account for a while but still no reply from them. no idea what the service staffs are doing

Agree. Very bad service. No response from email, and when you call them you'd need to hold for 45 mins before you talk to customer service. Opening an account take at least a month. :(

Please use another brokerage

Opening a new account takes months. Accounts representatives are disorganized and highly incompetent to do simple processing of forms. They keep asking for the same information over and over, while taking ages to make a decision. Wait times on the phone is usually longer than an hour. (TD Ameritrade in the US is great, sadly the singapore branch has fallen well far from the tree) AVOID. Use another brokerage instead.

Despite the zero commission fee introduced by most USA brokerage including TD Ameritrade, what surpirse me is that this brokerage firm in Singapore bearing the name of TD Ameritrade Singapore Pte Ltd imposes a stock trade commission fee of USD$10.95 per stock trade.
