I've been banking with Ally for about 20 years. The experience has gotten terrible. I can't get duplicate checks anymore. I have support tickets that have been open for 2+ months. I have referrals I've never received the referral bonus for. I've tried opening a joint checking with an existing customer and it never got opened.

I wish I could give more stars because in some ways I like Ally but the thing is I got some issues.
I understand that I recently opened an account with you but having to call you to unblock my Zelle account every time is not fair and tiring.
I have it blocked for about a month and by the time I’m typing this I still have it blocked because I’m just tired of calling for the same thing.
I hope you trust me and let me send money via Zelle peacefully.

I have been with Ally, just a few months and I am thoroughly enjoying my time with Ally. I look forward to spending more time with them and closing out, my other not so fruitful accounts.

Ally auto is the worst place you want to finance or lease your car, the-customer service is horrible, the people that you call and assist you overseas they’re horrible. They can’t answer your questions. You can’t even understand what they’re saying.. I would never never do business with Ally bank anymore

I opened my account when I was offered $300 through Ally auto for opening an account and having 3 qualifying direct deposit for 3 months and I would get the bonus in 30 days. I did the direct deposit as instructed for 3 months but never received the $300 bonus . I called and was told I would get a call back in 30 to 35 from a supervisor but I never did . I have given up and would consider changing banks

Absolutely terrible. Would never recommend to anyone. They will literally scam you out of money and then harass you for more. I can't say enough bad things about them. Don't even bother calling them for help- I have spent hours on the phone, never reaching a decision maker and being redirected to dead end phone loops. BEWARE. They should honestly be shut down.

I had my last car loan through Ally, and they were TERRIBLE to work with. During the middle of my car lease, they randomly tried to add an additional $45 onto my monthly car payment. I thought it would be an easy fix to just call customer service and get it straightened out. Nope. Ally’s customer service is HORRENDOUS. I spent an entire work day being passed around from person-to-person when I called Ally. Each rep was ruder than the last one. I was getting frustration tears towards the end of the day of getting nowhere with these people. NONE of who I spoke to could explain why they were trying to increase my monthly payment. My dad found a direct number to a higher-up. I had him call the next day, and after 20 mins on the phone, Ally realized THEIR mistake. Unreal. They are terrible. I will never ever bank with them because of how awful they were with my loan.

Ally Bank has been a wonderful experience. So easy to use the app. Easy transfer between debit accounts and of course the use of zelle. Can't stop telling everyone about it

This is the best bank I've ever dealt with. The website is clear and easy to navigate. Mostly I'm delighted with the interest rates that are simply unavailable from brick and mortar banks.

Super user friendly interface and we love the savings buckets! They also don’t access unnecessary fees like the traditional banks.

Chatted with ALLY in reference to modifying my car loan. I have had my vehicle since 11/4/24 and I need a cheaper payment. Each time that I have inquired, the answer has been no. The payments are outrageous. The clause that that they post is "If you are having difficulties, reach out to us-we can help"-a huge lie. IThis is my first and last time dealing with ALLY finance.

I was trying to add cash to my account, which had gone negative. I went to a local Wal Mart to add cash, transaction was not allowed. I called in, and was told there was a "restriction" on my card and the only way to add cash was a bank transfer or check deposit. The agent was NOT helpful at all. It is completely unacceptable that I am trying to add cash to my account, but Ally is not letting me. I would give zero or even negative stars if I could. DO NOT sign up for or use Ally bank. Not worth it at all. Customer service is absolutely terrible.

Ally’s Money Market account has allowed my financial stability to grow tremendously. I never know how much earnings were out there just by placing your money in the right account. Banking with Ally has by far been one of the best financial decisions I’ve made. Thank you for being a great trusting partner.

I filed a dispute against Virginia federal credit union because they withdrew my mortgage payment twice this month. It was settled by Ally within 24 hours. Amazing!!

I'm sure that a lot of people are anxious about doing their banking not at a physical office. But if most of your transactions are not in cash Ally works very well. Interest bearing checking and savings (with very good rates), simple deposit methods (incuding using deposited money orders for cash) makes it worthy. In summary Ally is great if personal contact is not a priority.

Signing up was a breeze!!! The app is easy to navigate. Love getting paid early. Highly recommended!!! You'll love it!
