So far, Ally has been a smooth transition and a great personal experience for me. I haven't experienced any issues and managing my account has been easy and convenient. Love the integration with Zelle. I'm pleased to be a customer, and hope for many more years of great service and new features.

The Absolute Worst
The absolute worst. Torturous customer service. Promises of supervisor callbacks that never happen. Poor and inaccurate and contradictory information given by supervisors. I cannot say anything good about this bank as they have NOT been my “Ally” after check fraud. I have given them chances to redeem themselves but they can’t seem to get out of their own way. I will be looking at other high yield online banks. There are many new choices.

My issues are resolved promptly and without hesitation. The customer service with Ally Bank is beyond anything I could have imagined. Ally is fantastic
Ally banking has been fantastic! I have a high yield savings account and have had CDs and a credit card with them previously. It is very easy to manage my account online and I love having savings buckets to organize my money. It makes me more motivated to save when I can see what I'm saving for.

One of the worst new banks out there…
One of the worst new banks out there especially in handling claims and disputes. I had to file a complaint on CFPB regarding denied claims. I specifically requested for reports, evidences, reports, and after waiting for about a month, they just sent me the denial letter they had sent before. NONE of what I requested was sent to me.

My account was suspended for 6 months without notification. I am pretty sure customer service is outsourced. I have repeatedly had a hard time understanding the people I speak with, and they generally cannot help fix the situation or explain why it has happened.

I’ve banked with Ally bank for years
I’ve banked with Ally bank for years. There APY isn’t the highest, but their CDs are the easiest to open and manage. Robo portfolios for stocks are also easy to set up and use.
Ally bank is also great for their representation of minority groups. I am a bit disappointed in them not making any new lgbt merch this year; am hoping they don’t get rid of their diversity initiatives….
