overall, I like the banking application set up goals in checking and savings The issue I have is you cannot add an authorize user i have tried 4 times following all requirements and still get told the same repeated requirement called their customer service did not get anywhere so I gave up. planning on closing my accounts

I love Ally Banking
I love Ally Banking. I set up a new account in minutes and was able to deposit checks, send Zelle and collect interest in my savings. I have no complaints at all. My debit card was delayed in the mail and they shipped another out quickly. My only recommendation is to have virtual cards ready when setting up a new account
customer service is horrible
customer service is horrible. They have sent everything to India. What takes my other banks 1 day to do now takes 5-7 business days for Ally to day. Will be looking for another bank.
Not really an Ally to my wife and I.
It is a shame that it is advertised we are your ally has been anything but to me and my Wife. Where we had a number of accounts. I closed most of them and down to just 2.

I was supposed to get $100 bonus for using their robo portfolio tool. followed all the instructions, gave it an extra month, still haven't rcvd it. talked to customer service and they agreed i have met all the requirements but now thye need to open a ticket and it takes 30 effing days to resolve..... wtf hurry up you assholes

Ally is intuitive in its app design. Really easy to navigate and they are transparent about the percentage of yield, when it changes. Zelle is easy when you need that. They complete rewards for referrals.

No longer my Ally!
I have been an Ally customer for many years. I chose Ally because they offered the top savings rates across the board for both money market and CD products. Ease of their online tools and ability to connect with a live agent in typically less than 5 minutes was always a plus!!!
Unfortunately, I have shifted my savings assets to other financial institutions over the past several months due to Ally no longer offering competitive rates. I will continue to monitor their saving products and may return to Ally being my number 1 bank if and when their products offer superior investment opportunities.

I enjoy the savings rates
I enjoy the savings rates. But then I chose your credit card. When I got scammed and realized it right away, I called to stop the transaction and alert the bank. I did not get good advice and ended up paying for additional unauthorized transactions, despite my attempts to be proactive. So I opted to close that card account and will likely take my CD business elsewhere when they mature.

This has been a life changer. I love the freedom of transferring money when I want. I love having a much higher interest rate for my investments! I highly recommend Ally accounts.
