Scheduling was a nightmare

Scheduling was a nightmare. I paid online and booked the lesson. I was then asked to switch the lesson to four days later. This nonsense went on forever and getting a hold of someone to sort it out did not go well. DO NOT book with this company. They offer time slots without having an instructor in place. They continue to email me without an "unsubscribe option on the email.

Hi Janet, we are sorry to hear about your initial frustration with the scheduling process. While our coaches manage their own calendars, we understand that reschedule requests can be a hassle. However, looking at your account, we see that your coach was actually able to accommodate your preferred schedule and successfully completed your lesson.

Regarding your experience with our team, we pride ourselves on responding as quickly as possible during normal office hours. Our records show our last correspondence with you was resolved in March, but if there is a new issue, we are always here to help. Finally, we apologize if you are having trouble unsubscribing from our emails. Because our automated system does not allow us to manually remove email addresses on our end, the best way to stop receiving these is to block the sender address or mark the emails as spam. Thank you for your feedback.

Scammed

Scammed. I should have done due diligence and looked into them first. I asked for a pickleball instructor in my area. Prepaid for a court nearby and instructor that they were never able to find. Asked for a refund on the same day but just got the run around. I was told the "dedicated support team" was looking into it. Crickets, nothing. Run, don't walk away from teachme.to

Hi David, we are incredibly sorry for the frustration this caused and for the delay in our team's communication. It is never our intention to make you feel like you are getting the runaround. To provide a bit of context, while our coaches list their approved locations on our site, it is ultimately at their discretion which specific courts they can accommodate on a given day based on their schedule.

That said, we completely understand how disappointing it is to prepay for a court and not have an instructor available. Please rest assured that we are taking your feedback very seriously to improve our communication and prevent this from happening moving forward. We also want to confirm that this was fully resolved by our team and a complete refund was processed back to your original payment method last Friday. Teachmeto will take care of you…

Teachmeto totally took initiative on my account and reached out via phone number to get me a client. I have my own independent contracting business as a personal fitness trainer but working alongside Teachmeto has allowed a whole new level of business and marketing exposure for the services I offer.

Great Time

My experience was great!! I would appreciate for my assigned students to have a choice between 2 locations which I have authorization to teach at both.

Not really happy recently

I dint have to worry about liability when taking student, that is good. However, the fee is too high. Also in term of helping getting me new students is not so great. I have nit had new students for months regardless my positive feedback from student. I have been maitained good student rating, retention rate 5+ lesson/student, ranking top coach in nearby area. Yet, I have not been promoted to super coach. I know some of new students pick equivalent coach over me for the Super Coach title, but not neccesarily a better coach than me. I cant lower price because it is already low regarding my lesson quality.
In summary, the plattform charges a lot but does not bringing new students.

Hi Thanh. Thank you for your feedback and for the dedication you show your students. A retention rate of 5+ lessons per student is fantastic and shows the high quality of your coaching. We want to clarify a few points regarding how our platform operates.

First, regarding pricing: we do not charge our coaches any out-of-pocket fees to use or be promoted on the platform. You have total control to set your own take-home rate. The final package price the student sees simply includes taxes, processing fees, and our platform commission. Like most marketplaces, this cut is how we keep the lights on, run the platform, and fund marketing to bring opportunities to you.

Second, regarding visibility: while your positive feedback is great, student reviews are completely optional, which means it can take time to accumulate a high volume of public reviews.

Finally, our 'Super Coach' title is tied to strict, high-quality performance requirements that have been communicated to all coaches. You can track your exact progress toward this status directly in your Coach App. We’d love to help you reach this milestone—please reach out to us at coachsupport@teachme.to so our team can review your profile and give you actionable tips to boost your visibility!

I enjoy the ease of use and access for…

I enjoy the ease of use and access for students. I think there are several areas that could be improved upon. Adding an individual lesson option for students would be great. I’ve had a couple of students charged for full blocks that never intended for that to be the case. I don’t really understand the coach rating system I have 1 non 5 star review and my lessons per student is high yet I have been downgraded on several occasions from a 99 to a 98 and while that might not seem like a big deal I do take giving the students a great lesson very seriously and I feel my score should reflect that. Adding in a feature for lesson over a certain distance away would be really nice to see as well. For the proper amount I’d be open to expanding how far I’d be willing to go for lessons. All that being said the interface for the site is easy to use and interacting with the help portion and speaking to someone is always quick and helpful.

This review is coming from the coach perspective. I am a tennis coach for the app and have had a very pleasant experience with the platform in with the scheduling communication team. I believe that the app is working very hard behind the scenes for both coaches and clients. I believe that the app provides tremendous value for local communities and does well as a whole as a brand. Thank you for all the support you provided to the coaches!

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. I canceled my subscription within 24 hours of the lesson, as I didn’t want to move forward with them (the platform is extremely confusing, they charge a 45% markup on what the teachers are making, and instead of being able to communicate directly with the instructor, you need to message them, the “support” messages the teacher, the teacher messages them back, and they message you - making something simple into an unnecessarily complicated process). Despite cancelling within their 24 hour window, they went ahead and charged me $600 and are saying they “aren’t able” to process a refund. I’m seeing a lot of reviews online of them doing similar stunts with similar results. Stay far away from this company, they aren’t BBB accredited for a reason. I wish I did more research before moving forward. Stay away and save yourself the hassle.

Edit - they are claiming I ran late to the lesson, even though I showed up on time, and the instructor had to push back the time due to his work schedule. I ended up waiting around for 30 minutes, and they are now claiming that I was the late one. I have calls and timestamps of when I arrived, but they aren’t interested in that, only interested in how they can keep my money. I liked the instructor enough, but this company cares not at all about their customers or retention. Zero attempt at compromise or resolution since it happened. Stay away.

To clarify how our platform works: once you book a lesson, you are absolutely free to communicate directly with your coach in the app. Prior to booking, our team handles coordination to help our busy coaches manage their incoming requests so they can focus on teaching.

Regarding your billing, we also need to clarify the timeline of events. Our terms are clearly outlined at checkout: cancellations must be submitted before the 24-hour renewal window. Your cancellation request exceeded this mark. Additionally, your subscription was automatically activated because the original scheduled lesson was actively fulfilled. Even though you ran late to this lesson, your coach graciously accommodated the delay and completed the full session with you. Because the service was rendered and the cancellation window had passed, the subscription automatically activated per the agreed-upon terms. We are transparent about our policies and billing, but if you have further questions about your account, please reach out to our support team.

Hands Down Best Customer Support 💯

Starting off, I don’t trust Apps to much, but Customer Service Support makes a HUGE difference for me. The App itself is easy enough for me to navigate and for my clients. I Love: TeachMe.to Team enables me to utilize the App whether client is on here or not.
: I can send feedback and receive feedback from atudents.
: I got to choose my own pricing (to get established),
I love that (latest) I was able to utilize TM.t Team to solidify a large Co. Group Event and set my own parameters.
: So MANY Great things to say about the Tm.T features offered, but even if their product was 💯 stack with all you need, it is nothing without the people; hands down Great Coach Support! They are on top of their Game to Help me Keep up with Mine.

Took 1 lesson only and....

Took 1 lesson (went well) and decided to reach out to cancel since I had unexpected priorities arise now. (I believe it was first lesson free and you got 3 or 4 additional lesson) for around $370 or something. I cancelled after the 24 hours which I know is beyond their cancellation policy but I had some unexpected things come up so this was not planned.

I offer to even pay for the first lesson and just asked for a refund of the rest and they would not budge or work with me. I do not plan to use the rest of the other lesson so the credit situation doesn't work for me as again I had another financial priories comes up now unexpectedly. I find it hard to believe that they would not refund me for service I do not plan on receiving anymore with even the offer to pay for the 1st lesson. Where is the customer service or even being reasonable in a situation like this? Seems like a greedy business that doesn't care at the end of the day and wouldn't even work out an agreement. Even in their policy it says "typically" so it's not clear cut that you would not get a refund. Will not use in the future and will spread the word around about my situation. Very unfortunate that I will not get my money back for only 1 lesson

I also understand why it feels frustrating that we couldn't offer a prorated refund. Because our subscription packages are bundled to secure and compensate our coaches for their scheduled time, our 24-hour cancellation window is strictly enforced. When that window passes, the funds are allocated to the coach, which limits our ability to reverse the charge.

We understand this is not the resolution you were hoping for, and we truly wish our system allowed for more flexibility in this specific situation. We genuinely appreciate you giving our platform a try, and we wish you the absolute best moving forward.
