I wrote an email of complaint to Tesco about a truly appalling 'Lewis & Green' Chocolate Cake, which was dry & tasteless to the point that the lot went in the bin. I received a reply telling me that t... Toon meer

Received vouchers for 5 euro off twenty five. Tried to use one today at self service and said already redeemed which was untrue as never used any of them. Asked member of staff and they where so rudeinsisted I already used it which I clearly hadn't. Rude unhelpful and typical really. Shopping in dunnes from now on. Better prices, better products and better service.
Missing items - No substitutions
2 Deliveries this week from Tesco and 5 items missing with no substitutions despite showing online as in stock. It's a joke now, and unfortunate as they have great drivers and a great way to track deliveries. I had stopped with Tesco earlier in the year with deliveries because of same issue, decided to give them a go again but its back to Dunnes now where there is rarely an issue with stock.
Received my first delivery from tesco…
Received my first delivery from tesco kildare town I usually collect the guys delivered earlier than schedule which was not a problem for me however as I was in work and my husband is on crutches they kindly carried the crates in for him much appreciated great service thank you
I used to order my weekly groceries…
I used to order my weekly groceries from Tesco almost every week, but I eventually stopped because I kept receiving meat that had gone bad as soon as I opened it, even though it still had one or two days left before the use-by date. This happened around four times, so I decided to shop elsewhere.
My last order before that was on May 7. On July 1, I decided to give Tesco another chance, hoping things had improved. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again. I received a pineapple that was completely covered in mould, and today (July 6) I had to throw away a pack of chicken thighs and a pack of prawns that were still within their use-by date because they had clearly gone off.
It genuinely feels like the people picking online orders simply choose the worst products available, with no care, responsibility, or respect for their customers. After giving Tesco another chance and experiencing the exact same issues, I have completely lost confidence in their delivery service.
This level of quality is unacceptable, especially for fresh food. I won't be ordering groceries from Tesco again.
Very disappointing experience with staff at Tesco Ashbourne
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an experience I had today at the Tesco Ashbourne store. While at the self-checkout area, I asked a member of staff for assistance, but her attitude was extremely rude and arrogant.
As a loyal customer who chooses to spend my money at this store, the absolute minimum I expect is basic courtesy and professional behavior from the staff. Being met with arrogance is completely unacceptable. I went in to do my shopping and left with a very negative impression of the store’s customer service. I hope management addresses this with their team to ensure that customers are treated with the respect they deserve
I did my shopping in Tesco New Ross
I did my shopping in Tesco New Ross, very pleasant experience and very helpful staff.
Tesco Artane - Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service when I visited Tesco in Artane, Dublin on Wed 1st July. I needed assistance and the two ladies in Customer Service were excellent and got Lorcan to resolve the issue with the trolley. Very friendly and helpful Tesco staff. Great ambassadors for Tesco. I hope this positive feedback is relayed to the customer service ladies and Lorcan.
Security needle on the floor
We went for groceries in Tesco Extra Maynoth. My sister wanted to try some gluten free beers, so we went to alcohol section, and she step on big pin which pierced her shoe. Luckily not her foot. Lady on customer care, took the pin, said no harm is done. But her new shoe is pierced, and that is big harm on wet weather. So mind yourself when you are in shopping. You can end up with the needle in your foot. Specialy if you are wearing thin sole shoe. Negligence and ignorance. I think I will pass this store in the future.

Today in Tesco West St ,Drogheda I could not find 1 easy peeler orange that wasn't over ripened, rotten or edible.
They all looked like they have been there over a week. Bring back Dunnes stores, they had beautiful easy peeler oranges
Declining alcohol purchase to 25 year old adult who works as a caregiver
Sent my 25 year old daughter who is employed caregiver and EMT trainee, also a Civil Defence volunteer to buy me a few things from Tesco along with a bottle of Champagne for me. She went her 16 year old. The Indian female probably new employee because I never saw her there BLATANTLY denied my adult daughter to purchase the champagne even after she showed her ID. Saying that my daughter could be buying it for her sister. Like who in their right minds wants is so stupid. DO NOT SHOP AT TESCO KILLARNEY THEIR FOOD QUALITY ALONG WITH CUSTOMERS SERVICE SUCKS. I told my daughter she should have returned all the other items she bought there.
Very poor customer service management
Just when you thought a service couldn’t get any worse! I’ve been using tesco home delivery since they started offering the service. Particularly in the last 2 years it’s been deteriorating and no amount of feedback by completing their surveys has helped.
However today it took a significant turn. They cancelled my order due for delivery today. I got notification within the delivery window to say it was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
Surely there is a better way to manage customer satisfaction. There was not even the offer to allow me select a new slot with the order. I have to process everything again.
Very unsatisfactory! I’m considering switching to another retailer.
Total indifference to customers
Went to Tesco Clearwater Finglas on 30th May. Not a single shopping trolley to be found. Huge queue at customer disservices, so went to staff chatting amongst themselves and got dismissed. Found a manager chatting on the phone on my way out, so told him to organize some trolleys for shoppers and proceeded to Lidl, which is what I should have done in the first place.
The award for rudest staff goes to Tesco Ballinasloe
Staff in Tesco Ballinasloe, Rude , no manners or customer service. Block isles with stocking trollies or filling orders and expect customers to squeeze past . Congregate in the isles chatting and laughing loudly ( in foreign languages) and dare a customer ask for help or interrupt their fun. Customers treated as nuisances. Also no checkouts open ,the checkout for the scanning customers only is opened . If customers are very lucky there might be one other one open. Very badly run supermarket. I used to shop there regularly now I avoid going in there will only go in there if I really really have to . Staff in Lidl and Aldi and Supervalue are friendly , helpful and have good customer service and I go there now , also some of my neighbours have switched supermarkets to avoid the rude staff and unpleasant shopping experience. Some of the staff that have been in Tesco for years are pleasant but the majority of ( newer staff ) are obnoxious.
The worst
I have been shopping at this Tesco in Phisboro for over twenty years, always the same location, and I am genuinely shocked by the behaviour of many of the staff working there. The level of rudeness is unbelievable. Some employees openly use foul language, make insulting comments, and behave in a completely unprofessional and disrespectful way toward customers. It is honestly disgraceful.
What makes the situation even worse is that some staff members make comments about customers in their own language while people are shopping. Unfortunately for them, I can understand what they are saying, and the things being said about customers are completely inappropriate and unacceptable.
This is clearly not just an issue with individual employees — it reflects a serious management problem within this Tesco. The manager should take responsibility and properly investigate what is happening in this store, because the atmosphere and level of customer service have become absolutely shameful.
I had an Textremely upsetting and…
I had an extremely upsetting and completely unacceptable experience during my recent visit. A staff member behaved in a hostile and aggressive manner toward me without any provocation. She followed me around the store, stared at me, and then began shouting insults.
She called me several deeply offensive names, including derogatory remarks about my nationality and sexuality, and made personal threats toward me. The abuse continued even after I tried to remove myself from the situation.
No customer should ever be subjected to this kind of behaviour from a staff member. It left me feeling shaken, intimidated, and unsafe. I hope management takes this seriously, as this experience was absolutely disgraceful.
True Customer Service!
Every Now and then in Life, you come across a Person who is naturally passionate about Customer Service! A Person who takes time to understand customer needs and Excels in going beyond the ordinary to deliver a Truly exceptional shopping experience with Tesco Mobile.
Ethan Flemming of Killarney Tesco is one such person, from the first Introduction, I Knew He was very knowledgeable about potential issues as my phone was lost and required a full recovery, I am currently going through Dialysis Treatment at the moment so it is small steps for me and once this was known, Ethan, Took care of my every need, patient, and became a True advocate and ambassador for Tesco Mobile.
Ethan Added value and Introduced me to a New cover for the phone therefor increasing sales
We Loyal and Regular Customers we have come to appreciate the wonderful staff of Tesco Killarney under manager Brendan Donegan but when a staff member excels in his Love for both Customer service and Tesco, it has to be commended!
I was in Athenry, in from The Fields
I was in Athenry and I had to call on an employee who was filling shelves to ask about a product I needed but could not find. He immediately left what he was doing and found the item for me. He also stayed with me for some other items I wanted.
I should say that I am 88 years of age.
One inconveniance was that there was no conveniance available. (Pun intended)
The toilet was of of order and this lost you a star.
I have to give a 5 star review to Abbie…
I have to give a 5 star review to Abbie from customer service for the outstanding help and support she gave me recently. I had been having trouble with a gift card and unfortunately received no real assistance through the live chat service, where the representative Jay/Jamie seemed uninterested in helping. I also visited the local store and was met with a very unhelpful staff member, which left me feeling extremely disappointed.
Abbie (I hope I spelled her name right) completely turned the experience around. She was warm, professional, patient, and genuinely cared about resolving the issue for me. She went above and beyond to help and made me feel valued as a customer throughout the entire process. Her positive attitude and willingness to assist stood out so much after the poor experiences I’d had beforehand.
Abbie is a real credit to the customer service team and I honestly couldn’t praise her enough. Thank you again, Abbie, for your kindness and exceptional support 👏🏼
Freshways wrap
Freshways wrap - absolutely unacceptable experience
My son found a snail in his wrap, which is something no customer should ever have to deal with, especially when it’s a ready-to-eat product. This isn’t just unpleasant, it’s a serious failure in basic food safety and quality control.
We received a long, technical response explaining how it “likely came from the lettuce” and outlining their processes. But in reality, none of that changes the outcome - a snail still made it through their system and into food that was sold for immediate consumption.
Being told that they “can’t guarantee zero insects/snails” is not reassuring. Customers expect food to be safe and properly checked before it reaches the shelf, particularly when it’s being eaten without further washing or preparation.
To make matters worse, the goodwill gesture was a €15 voucher, which feels completely inadequate given the nature of the issue -especially as it involved a child.
Overall, very disappointing. The response felt more like deflection than accountability. I would seriously question the standards being applied before buying again.
